You crack me up and I learn so much! "Don't be a chicken"! Experimenting means no rules and no fear! Just GO! I teach a lot of classes in pouring and I always tell my folks in class that this is "proof of concept" for whatever technique we're doing and that we're not making museum quality art. We're just having fun getting messy and letting things be what they are. If you're going to be fussy, you can be fussy later by painting on top or adding bling or glitter or fake flowers, or dried flowers or mirrors or whatever the heck you want. One of the reasons I love your channel is because you don't care. You're just doing for the sake of doing to see what happens. You don't take yourself seriously, and you have fun. Just keep doing that and making us laugh now and then. YOU, Sir, are a true artist. "Are you sure? No. Good" and off you go. No FEAR in art! Just do. Socks and flops? Like Berks and socks. Dude, just go barefoot. Now I see you have your wellies on. What? are you going to melt? Are you going to get frostbite? If neither is the case, just go barefoot. Skin washes. Dude, yes, that RWB looks totally like it has a drop shadow! That tiny skateboard was also very awesome. Good color choices for both layers. EXPERIMENT! Do whatever comes to mind whenever it does because you never know how it will turn out until you try. NO rules. Just do. Thank you for showing there is NO fear in experimenting. If it doesn't work, cover it up and try again.
Thanx souch for just being yourself. ADD is a dominant trait i. Or immediate family. That makes our home so unique and interesting. We can definitely relate Im a 65yr old budding pour artist. I love resin and spray paint too. Thanx for sharing man. Keep on creating 🤗
when you were spraying the fushia i was screaming FADE IT... FADE IT.... then finally you did. Now i can now breathe easy! 🙃 cool vid as always.talented man!
0:29 Sllllyyyy Duncan….SUPER SLY on that move to show the YT HITS AWARD…….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Nneeever saw it coming……bow to the Master! PS: THIS technique is friggin AWESOME btw!!!!!!❤
You did it again Terry! Now I have a new method to try. I make clocks of varies types. Seahawks, Superman, etc. I hand painted a Yoshi clock for my son (he's 30 going on 18, meh). Maybe I'll incorporate this with my clocks. THAT would be AWESOME!!
Omg I love watching you and your experiments, lol they come out amazing I learned so much from u and all these diff techniques..I'm doing some tile around a outdoor fireplace from what I learned on here from you...I did the water trick ..and think I'm gona do some splashes with the spray paint cap on top of it all..and thank unfor making it easy enough for some of us (myself) that literally is doing this for the first time ..keep on keeping on, can't wait to watch more videos and learn some more cool new techniques/tricks ..u got me hooked 🖤 and u blow my mind 🤯🤯
It's awesome to see these techniques on the things you paint it's amazing that the results comes out the way they do really gotta try some of these methods on the projects I do, awesome video thanks for sharing with us
Nice depth! I could stare into one of those a while. That technique could really work for parts of futuristic space landscapes. Those last three words should alWays be said with echoing and authoritative emphasis. I got a feeling this guy IS a #1 Dad!
Dude, you are so funny and a very fun guy to learn from. I seriously love your ideas, and now that I'm modeling cars, I will put these lessons to work on them. So cool, also there's a store where artists sell their stuff, I'm thinking about making some "Montana" signs with outlines of deer, elks, bears, and wolves. I'm anxious now! God bless!
That's awesome and thank you for the compliments! Many prayers for you making some awesome signs, be a blessing to others with the talents God has graciously blessed you with! God Bless!🙌
I have only watched a couple of your videos and I think you have some really cool techniques. Soon as I find something I want to paint I am going to try it. I really hate when someone knows nothing about something tells the person that does know something about something that they should do something . But you should I mean you might think about doing a tricked out 3d looking motorcycle helmet . Something like you did on the board you painted in this video . I think it would look really cool and the street racer type enthusiast would be interested and their friends might drum up some business for you .
I love it Tay, thanks for always putting out awesome videos & showing us different techniques. I'm going to be trying the Xbox controller painting technique in your last videos. 😊
They both look really cool!!! I enjoy using the power wash spray and dawn drizzle methods for art crafts. Keep the cre8ivity & videos coming!! Til next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!
It all came out pretty cool, but I’d love to see your results with some high quality paint like Montana instead of that local hardware store stuff. Keep it up.
Yeah man, you make it look so easy with these little experiments. I believe it’s because your just talented as heck. Anyways, thanks for the cool vids!
Love it!! As usual!!❤ I always wash the soap off right after spraying the paint. Then repeat. I've never let it dry on there. Was it hard to get off?? I know I watched you, but you make everything look so easy, so....😅
You crack me up, I love watching you at work, really laughed out loud every time you said...AMERICA, I get it and it made me laugh. Besides the side show entertainment, the two pieces came out insane. Gave me some great ideas too. I wonder how those would look now with some very high gloss clear. Really would get them to pop. Thanks again for another amazing video, your incredibly talented and funny. You must be a blast to hang out with. Be safe, be well!
I did my son's desk and lamp shade with the drizzle method. Yeah spray paint is dry enough your only got to wait like 5 maybe 10 moms after putting on the last layer of paint to rinse off the soap it turned out amazing
Question… If I’m gonna try this technique on wood and I paint it first should I present it before I start spraying the soap? Or can I just do it on top of the paint?
You probably won't see this, however I do believe there is ONE case, in history, of artistic perfection. That would be the Banksy shredder in the frame at auction piece.
Hey Duncan! Fantastic Art and Videos, especially this one with the soap masking technique, very ingenious! I have a question though; can this be done with an airbrush somehow, possibly to do small objects or even a very detailed back-drop to be soap masked? I can think of 100 uses if it's possible!
Duncan is not right! Don't leave your dog, cat, or pet bird with him over night! This brother is creative but warped! I think he either ate to many mushroom's from the cow powdies, or smoked some serious weed when he was two years old! Keep it real man!
Dude, I am not an artist. I'm a musician. My wife tries to get me to paint with her but I know the outcome, and it is not art. but watching you and the things you do are so hilarious and informative that I just want to try it. and I already have the Dawn drizzle and the power wash. Now i just need the spray paint.
i attempt to do the rain drops on canvas. A FAIL, tried again ANOTHER FAIL. I figured out on a painted canvas you need to spray a coat of clear varnis or sealant so that the water is not absorbed into the canvas...worked great. thanks man

Thank you for your wonderful comment! I was wondering if anyone would notice where I said, "Are you sure? Nope. Good." LOL
I have been using dish soap and a pendulum on a spinning canvas . Things get interesting. ;)
That is a great idea!
I just checked your channel and subscribed ❤️🔥
@@DuncanCustomAirbrush wasn't it Brett Whiteley's?
This is the first video I have seen by you. I subscribed and you inspired me to paint a go cart like this for the grandkids! Thanks for the video!
Oh wow that will be awesome!
The small skateboard reminds me of Lisa Frank from the 90's. Love it!
Love how you think!!! Great ideas!

me too at 81 ... this is so fun I had no idea but does remind me of pour paint techniques I can't wait to try.
Thanks and will do!
Love the results! Enjoy your humour.😂
when you were spraying the fushia i was screaming FADE IT... FADE IT.... then finally you did. Now i can now breathe easy! 🙃 cool vid as always.talented man!
Those are so cool! I want to try this now. The Red White and Blue is my favorite, but the skateboard one has a pleasant fade. They are both fabulous!
That video you did with red paint brush was hysterical- best laugh I've had in years!!!!
LOL😂👍
I've been using the powerwash &spray paint on tumblers since "dripping lips" ❤. My go to design
Love that!

I feel like I'm actually watching me doing it...
😂
I loved this.
How long should I wait before removing the soap?
Wow what a fun and informative video . I will be back for sure
It’s so funny watching people do stuff when they’re drunk.
education AND entertainment!
Both turned out RAD!!!
Your sentence ‘soggy flops and socks is not cool’. Leave off the word soggy and it’s still true.! 😂🤣 love your videos!

Definitely easier to get off before the soap dries - I will never let it dry again before washing off
"Masking medium" has been around for many decades it's not new...but cool projects it was fun to watch :) and it's a very fun process to do.
That's actually a cool way to paint.
WTF! Hahahahahaha, the fokin chicken, I jumped!!! Hahahahaha

Gradient❤ is any color going dark to light, or light to dark. Ombre is one color going light to dark and back, usually several times.
You make me laugh 😂 but anyways those came out awesome
60’s 70’s look. Yep I’m old.
I want one of those air brushes!!
You sir, are my type of ADHD humor. 🤣 I enjoyed everything about this video. You got yourself another sub. 👍🏻

Does this work on canvas also?
Hahaha you are a hoot 😅😅😅
Love your art. First time here.
Thank you so much 😀
We wash it off right away. It works so much better that way... but glad to see that it actually worked little...
You are very talented!!
Love it! And you’re absolutely adorable lol
Thank you!! 😁
Couple of different greens, some tans, and a black would make some unique camo patterns.

I am sure you could but you couldn't use waterbase paints...well, at least I don't think you can use waterbase paints for this
I like to see metal flake and paint pigments from Michael's and urea from Joann's fabrics
