I’m so glad to see I’m not the only one who had trouble doing a “bad” paint job! My fluorescent yellow was the runny color, and I also thought I would smooth it out only to wipe it down to the bare cup. I’m tempted to strip the whole thing down and start fresh. I totally LOVE your splatter technique too!!!! 😍😍😍
Beautiful! Take a plastic disposable cup and cut the bottom out. Then set it inside of your cup where it fits snug before you spray paint. The paint doesn't get inside the cup and saves a lot of clean up time. Plus you can reuse the cups! The ribbed cups work best because they "click" into place.
that's so beautiful... makes me wanna try one now.. I have done the drizzle method and i dont know where i went wrong.. but it was a huge fail... I think I am going to try it the way you did.. thank you for sharing..
Surely someone has recommended this. No way they haven't! Gently warm that epoxy as the cup is turning, with a propane torch, heat gun, or maybe even a hair dryer on hot and low. You will be amazed how glass-like that will make your epoxy!
Love the look! ... Do you have a video that describes your setup, particularly your "rotator" and how you (temporarily) attach the PVC pipe handle to the Tumbler?
Thanks to your suggestion I bought some liquidy split to try. I have been considering trying new epoxy than what I have been using. I appreciate the code as well.
Back in the 80s that's what we use to do to surf boards you could make stripes and all kinds of designs with dawn soap then spray with what ever color you wanted. Rad colors was always best 😊
Perfect! Ty! I wanted to show a friend of mine this technique! I'll send her over! Lovely and straight to the point! Well done and beautiful work! New subbed here!
THIS CUP IS AMAZEBALLS!! Total newb here, but when you say to clean up the inside so you don’t break the seal, do you have a video as to how you clean and finish the rims?!? TIA
🥰 I don’t have a clean up video yet but I’ll put that on my “tumbler basics” list! Just throw on one gloves and wet a paper towel with acetone and wipe down the inside really well to get the paint off.
Great work - looks awesome. Tip: if you use a propane torch just to glance over the final epoxy coat you will eliminate the "wrinkles". Keep your imagination flowing.
Great video! Thank you for showing. I looked up the cosmic glitter that you mentioned and I am curious because the picture looks silver. Your cup doesn’t look silver so just making sure it’s the right kind. Plus I have never used glitter in my epoxy. How much glitter do you add for a thin layer of Epoxy?
I love those colors. Awesome girl.. I'm going to try to see where I can find those at.. asap. I do have a question as well. How to clean the inside w/out breaking the seal? Pls tell me or make a vid. What ever is possible thankss!!
I use acetone and that typically cleans up what I need. But sometimes it takes a blade to pop off the epoxy. I spend lots of time avoiding the edge so that I don’t have to worry as much about the clean up. 😆
Do you have to add a coat of epoxy before you spray it with the dawn soap and black paint? What is the purpose of the first coat of epoxy? Can we skip the first coat of epoxy and use the dawn soap directly on the neon paint, then spray it with the black paint, and then after washing the soap off them add the epoxy. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Tumbler turned out very awesome. I forgot about the spray dawn. After the spray pint n base paint steps could I use clear coat spray instead of thin layer of epoxy?
Hi! It looks beautiful and I would like to do it. What other product than Power Wash could I use. I live in the Dominican Republic and they don't sell this product? Thank you!
I don’t think it would work the same. If you can get the Dawn Platinum and alcohol, there’s a recipe to make power wash. You’d just need a sprayer that sprayed the same. I see those in beauty store now. I saw a video on TikTok of people making their own.
Just about all my glitter comes from Frans! Here’s a coupon if you’re new: i.refs.cc/Fkm1Mb0Q?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjo0MzIxMDQ2NDJ9
I love this! lol killing me smalls.. I always say that to my kids even tho they are grown. The liquidy split you use, can it be used as the final coat?
I did one with the powerwash recently and LOVE the way it turned out!! Will you be adding a decal or leaving it as is? That’s what I’m struggling with on mine! I love the cup but wonder it mine needs something 🤔
“Everything looks better under epoxy.” So true, even better with glitter added.
There is no messing up with creative art. Looks GREAT!
Saw a tutorial with back & white and I did a colored one with it.. never turned back I've been obsessed ever since

He’s bigger than me but the sentiment still applies! 🤣
Amazing!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I love the little yellow monster close to the bottom edge. Lolol
Did this cup. You are a great teacher. I did three and they were each better than the last. The lady that ordered them loved them. ❤️❤️. Thank you 🥰
Freaking awesome 💝 I wouldn't have ever thought of using the pump
8:11 omg I love it...
Super pretty. Can’t wait to try . I can do this with brite tone right? I don’t like epoxy
Freaking awesome job. Thanks for the idea on a paint technique for my truck.
Love 🤩 About to try it over a plaid! I want to see finished 🥰

Just wanted to thank u I did these for my 3 nephews they absolutely love them 😍
That’s awesome!!!!
Love how it turned out. The colors are spectacular.

Love this SO much! You answered a question I had in showing the spray Dawn can be used. Your cup is super gorgeous.
i wanna get into doing tumblers, and I defiantly wanna try this technique.
I’m in the process of moving but when the smoke settles this will be on of the first methods I use!!! Love it!!!!
Love the look! ... Do you have a video that describes your setup, particularly your "rotator" and how you (temporarily) attach the PVC pipe handle to the Tumbler?
Thanks. Just ready to do this today. Thanks for the refresher!
Thanks to your suggestion I bought some liquidy split to try. I have been considering trying new epoxy than what I have been using. I appreciate the code as well.
I hope you love it as much as I do!
I LOVE 😍 this... at least what I just saw in the thumbnail
Yep, I’m gonna have try this! As always, thank you for sharing!

That’s so cool! I wonder if the first person to do this on a tumbler used to do that!
I absolutely love that so very cool looking the glitter made it even more gorgeous
That looks amazing!!!! Love the cosmic mixed in, it gave it the perfect little pizazz!
Super talent
Looks awesome

Perfect! Ty! I wanted to show a friend of mine this technique! I'll send her over! Lovely and straight to the point! Well done and beautiful work! New subbed here!
I did the drizzle method but I like yours more!!
I’m doing the other tomorrow if I can squeeze it in!

Amazing work!
The coolest Dawn hack tumbler so far!! I absolutely love it! Going to buy the Dawn Powerwash tomorrow!! 🤩🤩🤩
Definitely the spray and not the pump foam!
@@ThePurpleStitch oh ok. Thanks. Didn’t know there was a difference. Thanks I’ll let you know how it turns out
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Great work - looks awesome. Tip: if you use a propane torch just to glance over the final epoxy coat you will eliminate the "wrinkles". Keep your imagination flowing.
This is so cool!

@@ThePurpleStitch yesssss..I cant pay til 3 rd of next month..would love to have it
Absolutely love this 1! The soap ones are so much fun
Beautiful
love it, great idea, can you use a different colors other than black?
Yes! I wanted the contrast with the neons for this one. I’m going to use purple on the glitter base that I’m doing next!
So awesome
Im hoping to try to do the splatter bleach effect on my new kayak. Im just worried bout not using resin but a water prof top coat.
This is beautiful..
Very cool I look forward to trying this
That’s so beautiful
Well this is way cool, and I have the pump stuff too, so I have got to try it now. Thanks for the shout out
I had the hardest time covering my cup without making runs. I had to sand it twice. Next time I will let each layer dry first. Lesson learned.
I had runs too! For me with spray paint, I have to keep the can back at least 6-8”. That really helps to decrease the drops and runs. HTH ☺️
Wow 🤩 what a great idea for the teens for Christmas gifts! Thanks .. yahhh & yayyyy 👌👏👏
Well heck not just teens- they’re the 1st that came to mind. So cool😎
True! I knew whatcha meant! 😆
Oh wow! I love this cup and colors! My faves! Great job! XOXO
Awesome🥰

A pinch can be too much sometimes. It goes a loooong way!
@@ThePurpleStitch was the glitter silver?

I do have a question as well. How to clean the inside w/out breaking the seal? Pls tell me or make a vid. What ever is possible thankss!!
All but one color came from Home Depot. The blue I found at Walmart. I have not done a video on cleaning the rims yet but will add it to my list! 😊
@@ThePurpleStitch thanks, what would be ok & safe to use to clean the inside paint or epoxy left on it.?
I use acetone and that typically cleans up what I need. But sometimes it takes a blade to pop off the epoxy. I spend lots of time avoiding the edge so that I don’t have to worry as much about the clean up. 😆
Looks great cannot wait to try it
Love your nails!!
Thank you!! I have been feeling festive lately!
I LOVE this cup! I can’t wait to try it oh my goodness!!!!!
It's great
That is cool, looks great.
Thank you I will be trying this 😊
Love this method so much more..Ty for sharing...🥰
I love what you did there. Amazing results, thank you for the tutorial ❤
This is really cool. Thank you for inspiration!
Love this! Looks awesome!!!
What a alternative to Dawn that can be used. We can’t get Dawn in Australia?
Do you have to add a coat of epoxy before you spray it with the dawn soap and black paint? What is the purpose of the first coat of epoxy? Can we skip the first coat of epoxy and use the dawn soap directly on the neon paint, then spray it with the black paint, and then after washing the soap off them add the epoxy. Awesome - thanks for the share
Very cool!! Cant wait to try this one!! Great video!! ❤️👍🏻
I love this!! So excited to try the splatter😁
Very nice
Cand you dip it in a bucket of water to rinse it or does it need to be with a hose? I am about to try this method!! I love yours
I’m not super sure on that. Seems like the bucket would be a little harder to get all the soap off.
reminds me of lisa frank!!!
Tumbler turned out very awesome. I forgot about the spray dawn. After the spray pint n base paint steps could I use clear coat spray instead of thin layer of epoxy?
The advantage of epoxy between layers is the ability to remove paint if it didn’t work right.
That is so cool i msg u on fb alysa got her book cup and she said it is fantastic!!!
Yay! That’s 2 days early! 🥰
This cup looks so cool I can't wait to try this method 🧡
Can't wait to try that!
Incrível, admirada ....amei seu trabalho
This is absolutely amazing!!
Can you do this on a acrylic tumbler?
Love ❤️ love love it.... definitely want to try it 😊
Omg I love it! Great idea!
Wow! Amazing! Love it!!!💛💖💙💚
I LOVE IT❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
