The leftover bit of A465 - Ten years later (almost)

This bit of road was the A465 back before it was dualled and bypassed in 2015 between Tredegar and Brynmawr (This was known officially as Section 3)

Interesting video, do you know why it was decided to bypass the road rather than upgrade it directly?

It was probably because of noise and pollution concerns plus the fact that the land was mostly clear where it's current alignment, not forgetting there's a junction directly connected to Rassau industrial estate therefore helping unlock growth and prosperity in Wales
