Its bloody confusing. I followed my usual route and ended up haviung to go through Llwydcoed to get to Merthyr. I was quite surprised when I got to Baverstocks to see all of the other cars coming up from Hirwaun.
Looking good, doing sections at a time, i wonder when it's going to be open fully this will be a good improvement for the Heads of the Valleys road, next time i'm down that part of the country i'll take a drive on it, great video

Change of circumstances meant I wasn’t able to do these videos for some time.. thankfully others including yourself have been able to post updates on here while I’ve been away! I’ll be doing more videos in the next few weeks .
Some people have a complaining mentality. If they had experienced some achievements in their life they may have a more positive view. They seem more comfortable with negativity.
@@lengriffiths1 I agree. Many complained the old road was dangerous. Now some are complaining it’s being done. When complete this will revitalise the local area and the road will be so much safer resulting in fewer accidents.
I've heard the rumours but the contractor have confirmed it's going to be National Speed Limits. Some NSL signs have also gone up in some places, so it is going to be a 70mph road.
@@iangraham871 it's part of the handover phase to the government they had to reach that deadline or face fines, there's a lot that goes into each phase of construction, sections 5 and 6 is split into different sections and has a different site compound so the scheme is easier to manage
And with the interest on the money borrowed to build it, it's a £1.5 Billion taxpayer bargain, the WG are unfit to run a daycare never mind a failing country.
It's time for a by pass around the Newport tunnels as promised so needed the gateway into Wales

I notice that the leading edge of your bonnet is bobbing up and down so I'm guessing that the brand new surface is down to the usual standard.
It’s a bit of an optical illusion due to the stabilisation on the camera. The road surface is very smooth! At least the new final surface is !

My parents live in Yorkshire. I live in Carmarthenshire. So that will be a good (if not better) alternative to the M4 once fully completed.

to m any cones between hirwaun and baverstocks to many slow moving works vehicles can still take 30 mins to do 9 miles its not a dual carriage yet

The new section at Hirwaun is open so yes. It’s scheduled for completion mid-2025 so it’s not exactly running late.

It is not pen. It is not a dual carriage way as it is not finished. It is working a contra-flow system. But it is about time it was finished.

Is the A465 from Hirwaun full open to junction 43 M4.
@@davidgolding3457 Closed from Cefn Coed to Pant Industrial Estate until the 2nd September. Diversion is via A470 & A4060.
The A465 when finished will be great sadly due to the Welsh Government stopping all new major road infrastructure in Wales this will be the last.
