Nice video mate! Rhigos Junction and the new bypass around Hirwaun are looking close to completion. Can't wait!
Thanks for a great informative video. Your highlighting and information at the junctions is an added bonus as it gives a clear perspective and clarifies our bearrings on the ever-changing major road works. Your video has clearly revealed the progress and developments and gives us a prospectus on what we can expect from the new road layouts.
I am overjoyed you are delighted in my work
It's coming along well
Looking good and coming together nicely
@@breeze1472 very soon traffic will be using the Rhigos junction and the flyover
Love the video it will be completed next year i have been in wales and driven along this road in 2023
Nice one, I was helping the team build it this week and I was told they plan on finishing up in May 2025
@@UK.RoadsCyclingandTransport i am gonna watch all the updates till it is finished in may 2025
Nice video, it's interesting seeing the roadworks progressing 😀. Do you know when they are expected to be complete? I like the song that is playing from 5:42, do you know what it is?
The song is called Bringing me down by Halman (I use epidemic sound) , they are currently on target to complete in 2025 as I spoke to the team directly and parts are already being handed off to the trunk road authority, I know this as I was up there the whole week on work experience and I loved it best week of my life in a while, I surprised myself on how much I couldn't stop talking usually I'm socially awkward.
On another note the road is now planned to be closed for 5 weeks between July 29 th and early September and the guys plan to complete as much as they can by August this year especially on the prince Charles hospital junction and fully open the taf fechan viaduct (the one that's being widened). And I think in a few months I was told Taf fawr is planned to open as well (the one over the A470).
They also said the next scheme to be built is Stonehenge tunnel (yes they're the company that's going to be building it if everything goes ahead)
After this is completed all they’ll need to do is dual the section between Hereford and Abergavenny and then the A465 will be completely a dual carriageway and a proper primary route
And if you’re wondering about the section between Hereford and Bromyard in my opinion and I don’t think that needs dualing because Bromyard is just a village
@@kimpossibleyescruelladevil4960 that'll never happen, or at least in my lifetime, there are no proposals for the A465 north of Abergavenny to be dualled, the sections that got upgraded were because of safety issues and to form a full route which includes the M50, A40 A449 and the A465 from the Midlands to Neath.
@@UK.RoadsCyclingandTransport ok
@@kimpossibleyescruelladevil4960 seems like i misread your comment yeah it would be nice to have a dual carriageway north of Abergavenny going to Hereford, but it would be rather difficult and very expensive to build
@@UK.RoadsCyclingandTransport The dual to Hereford from Aber won't happen until the Hereford Western Bypass is built.
I am in a car wash in Sydenham London right now UK roads & transport
Ok
Have you turned on monetization on your channel?
almost there
@@UK.RoadsCyclingandTransport wow, that is great. best of luck 🥰🥰
@@oibxreaction I'm monetized now so you can now use super thanks, chats etc if you so wish
Let me explain 40 years ago it should have been built when we had all that industry and crap roads for hgvs to travel on to get to said industry
@@marilyndeverell6613 however if you look at the old section it feels rather substandard
Shame it’s 40 years to late
@@marilyndeverell6613 planned in the 90s first stretch opened in 2002, 2008, 2015, 2021, newest May 2025, err I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 40 years too late
