I went for a 150mph ride in a Sanger 18' Flat Bottom, Casale V-Drive, Blown Chevrolet 427 L-88 when I was 14 years old on The King's River in California. My life was changed that day.......... OVER THE TOP!!! My Love for Fast Boats has never been lost and I have been a Adrenalin Junkie ever since. If you have ever experienced The Rush it is one that you will never forget. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
Guys, that's me with small-block Mike in 117. I grew up racing motorcycles and cars, but I can promise you that I've NEVER EVER had a ride like that before. Tony's wheelie before his ride gave me chills and a new impression of what power really is. It was such a rush, I could barely talk afterwards when Jerry interviewed me. I can't thank both drivers and Jerry Griffin enough for the rides and catching it all on film. If you ever get a chance to catch a ride in a flatty, do it....total Bucket List Ride!
You lucky MoFo hahaha. i went in a flatty when i was 17. Never will i forget how it felt, like a slingshot only it just keeps winding up n up. maybe more like time travel. Yeah, time travel
My dad started getting boats when I was 9. Didn't like the water, but learned how to swim and it was on no fear! I could drive pretty good! All the hot boat guys would compliment my dad on my ability to drive for my age! Caught the fever baby!!
some wicked boats there. and the ladies...
Love this my dad raced in the 60s. Never get tired of the noise and I have aspergers. This never bothered me. Such a smooth and rich tone from a perfectly tuned engine. Like the finest opera and the best rock and roll. Always said "faster daddy go faster". Miss him lots.
Number ONE on my bucket list is a ride with Tony Scarlata untill I poop myself. And if I die, it will be a happy death.
Fast cars, fast horses, fast boats, slow men! I love speed!! Going fast and hearing the sound of that hot engine just does something to me! Like the name of my dads boat" never enough"
Thats OC badass Dr. Phil there driving at the start of video.
the sound of 977 at 4.05 gave me goose bumps!
I grew up with a Sanger and then a Hallet v drive, there was never any problem getting pulled out of the water when skiing. Love those boats.
These videos are so awesome...
I ran a 454 Chevrolet on colo. river vdrive litchfield, Carlsbad manu. In early 70s. What a rush!
I'm assuming that the "Thumbs Down" were from riders who pissed their Pants ? HaHaHa
No, it's because the title was misleading. We love the v-drives.
