Supra Mkiv Tach fix cluster bypass

For everybody that has a non-turbo automatic or non-turbo five speed mark for Supra this is how you will bypass the tachometer to make your RPM gauge work on your MK4 Supra. Everyone of these vehicles that did not come turbo from factory will need this done in order to convert to GTE .Super cool trick I picked up years ago to avoid having to pay $80 plus for aftermarket Tach adapter

Can’t you just cut the resistor side in the middle off and add a little piece of wire for a cleaner installation?

Having this issue in my turbo 6 speed. Should be the same. However mines not dead just almost dead.

Hey, i Have a 2jzgte vvti and I am trying to connect a defi advance fd, but i don't kow where to take the rpm signal , tried on the ignition module and on the ecu but it doesn't work , any ideas ?

Hey Rob my lights don't work in my cluster. I took it apart and seen a burnt spot in the cable ribbon. Can this be repaired?

ive put a emu classic in my 1.5j mk4 and hooked up the tacho output to pin29 (black/white wire) on the orange plug. currerntly the tacho wont work do you thik this will solve it. Thanks!!
p.s its originaly a Na 5 speed

No matter what u do in any na Mk4 u will need to bypass the resistor or buy a msd Tach adapter
