  • This video is going to be a little bit different. In todays video we dive into the idea of What If Spiderman Was Trained by Batman. An idea where I send the web slinger or Peter Parker to the DC universe replacing him with Nightwing. We than breakdown all the training and positive aspects of Batman that Peter or Spiderman could possibly retain from the training with the Dark Knight. If I missed anything you thought I should have added during this Spiderman rant or Batman rant than make sure to leave a comment down below and while your down there leave a like, sub and all that good stuff! Honestly a Batman trained Spider-Man would be a genuine menace considering how good with stealth Spidey already is and the fact he is trained already. Not to mention the many times he has lost his cool and just wanted to get the job done like in the Back in Black storyline or the alternate Spider-Mans that are cold and efficient like Assassin Spider-Man (though a Batman trained Spidey wouldn’t kill obviously)

The mental fortitude that Batman has is the combination of the mentality needed to master "every" martial arts, to accept and overcome fears/doubts/pain, and master the vast knowledge of the universe.
Batman undergone rigorous training to get where he is. Not just physical. Mental training, with monks, martial artists, and detectives. Spider-Man with martial arts is crazy when you remember the comics; during the Spider-Island event Pete lost his Spider-Sense and was trained by Shang-Chi to counteract this, becoming proficient enough in the martial arts to develop his own fighting style "Way of the Spider". When the Spider-Sense returned it boosted his proficiency to a deadlier degree. Batman is toted as a master of every single known martial arts in the world (of his era), with enough skill and honing to predict people's moves before they even make them. Imagining Spider-Man with that level of prowess combined with his Spider-Sense would easily make him the most broken hand-to-hand combatant in the Marvel Universe.

While Spiderman may not be skilled in intimidation, he can change the aura around him if he stopped talking while he fought. We know he is the friendly neighborhood spiderman that loves telling jokes to make the enemies mad. But, what happens when Spiderman simply decided to stop talking? there’s a well-known saying in marvels criminal underworld one Spider-Man stops talking you give up when he puts on the black suit don’t fight back because Spider-Man has gone to those places and every single time he does his enemies absolutely regret it so typically what happens is when they see him stop clipping or put on the black suit fight right there and try and talk to him and get him to clear up his headspace because they are absolutely terrified of who doesn’t make jokes and will literally play therapist for him if they see him in that place.

Most the other things mentioned in this video Spiderman already has a good handle on or refuses to do. He's not going to do batman style intimidation as every time he does something similar it's even scarier and he regrets it. One example is beating up Kingpin then holding him up by his nose saying "next time you go after anyone I care about I will shoot these webs down your throat" Kingpin not only didn't go after anyone again but spent money to make sure they're protected by at least non-powered threats

The only thing I want to add is that Spidey could have decimated Cap in civil war if he wanted to anyway. Spider-Man is far faster and far stronger than Steve could ever even hope to be. If he really wanted to win he could have just blitzed him with tons of really fast powerful punches that Cap wouldn't even be able to see coming because he's just that fast. All it would take is one clean hit from Spidey and Cap is down for the count. The only reason he didn't do that is, well because he's Spider-Man. Just like with all of his enemies he held back against Cap. Both because he didn't want to seriously hurt him and because he respects him too much to want to fight him at all. The only way that Captain America can beat Spider-Man in a fight is if Spidey doesn't actually want to fight. Because if he came at Cap with everything he has, it wouldn't be a fight. It would be a slaughter.

I really want to see how a Batman-trained Spider-Man would handle interrogations
He’ll probably not be as brutal as him, but definitely as effective
I mean, just imagine, Spider-Man leveling up the creep factor and trapping the criminal in a web without any chance of freeing himself
And then, Spider-Man slowly begins to approach him, much like a real spider would do to its unlucky prey, until the criminal finally cracks under the pressure and gives him the info
Like I said, Spider-Man won’t be brutal like Batman as that’s simply not his way, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be just as efficient
I mean, do you know many people out there have arachnophobia?
The criminals will be afraid of him, not because of what he will do, but what they *think* he’ll do to them
And sometimes, imagination can be way scarier than real life

If I could offer some advice, I would suggest the next time you do one if these videos, you write out a script. Remember Batman train blue scarab, he trained many meta humans, so Batman would easily adapt his training to help make spiderman a far better spiderman. I think Batman would teach martial arts, stealth, but he would help petter make a better webshooter, maybe one that could auto regenerate or the likes. A darker suit would be suggested but not mandatory. Spider.an would yes be more serious but Batman over time himself learned how to train people without making them brooding, even made them able to use their personalities for the better, so spiderman would even be more helpful, helping old ladies cross the street, web shooting a quarter on the ground to give it to one that needs.

Excellent job on this video and I strongly agree with a lot of the things that you talked about here and you made it very entertaining and I could see hints of how you envisioned the partnership between the two characters. However I must also note that there is a big question that comes to my mind here; if Batman did train Spider-man, would he even let him go back to the Marvel Universe? If it was me I certainly wouldn’t because Batman would be getting rid of one of the very best possible partners ever! So basically I think that he would keep Spidey close and truly more likely than not make him a full time Gotham hero, but that’s just my opinion! Great job and very cool the way you created the opening setup! Keep up the amazing work!

I would also like to add the fact that Batman would be able to teach Peter how to read his opponents’ body language as well. This could range from detecting if someone is lying to interrogating. Even so much as to read someone’s combat style in general. Let’s be honest. Peter Parker isn’t properly trained in acrobatics or combat. He’s more of a street fighter who has plenty of advantages, iE super speed, durability and spider sense to go with super strength. So Batman would likely be able to correct a lot of Peter’s combat mistakes, while also demonstrating the importance. Such as how he leaves himself open if he maneuvers himself in a certain way. Or how his opponents who can fight properly can use his very body weight against him.
Now this would be a genuine workout for him. Asides the fact that Batman’s regime would kill a normal human, Batman doesn’t need to give him his own workout regime. He can provide him his own regime after the training is complete. Martial artists will tell you that it is quite the intense workout, depending on the workout you select. So Bruce would want to select a combination of martial arts that would work best tailored for him. I’d suggest Northern Shaolin based Kung fu. For those wondering, it’s the type of combat that was the base for that in the Fire Nation in ATLA. As well as Tai Chi and Baguazhang. Baguazhang is the base for Air Bending.
Tai Chi and Baguazhang are more fluid and would allow Peter the chance to keep the momentum going in terms of combat. Tai Chi would help with his mental health since it would help him in terms of accepting that he can’t save everyone. Now, I know I haven’t spoken about Northern Shaolin based Kung Fu yet. This would be reserved for his much tougher opponents who can actually fight properly and who can take his attacks. Such as Rhino or Lizard and Kraven. Why would this one be reserved? Northern Shaolin based Kung fu is meant to cause immense damage to the opponent, as well as allow the person performing the martial art to take large amounts of damage. This would be perfect in terms of reserving the more intense battles for his more intense foes. He could also likely assist Peter in giving him his own combat style that he can use as himself that would be so different from the fighting styles I already listed so that he would be able to keep his identity secured. After all, people in New York do attend martial arts classes after all.
Peter could also likely assist Bruce out, such as suggesting the cure to the Lizard serum in hopes of using it to cure Killer Croc. I mean, It’s worth a shot, after all. It might even be able to be a base for a new treatment for Victor Fries or even his wife, or to even cure Poison Ivy. Or even provide outside perspectives on tech from his world that Bruce could begin development in. Bruce could always study the spider sense as well.
Overall, Bruce and Peter would be able to assist one another and give new perspectives about life as a whole.
