    Apologies for the rant about my airport experience but as always I try to be as honest as possible in my reviews. Clearly T1 is not a favourite of mine but I still hope to try the newer T4 in Kuwait at some point which looks brilliant. Let me know if you have flown with Qatar Airways, remember to subscribe and especially at these difficult times for us all, take care.

    Glad everything worked out after all.
    I think the most underrated option for airlines is that fold-able tray table. It just adds that extra bit of flexibility in the seat, especially when the forward seat is reclined.

      Absolutely agree, space is a luxury in economy and any little feature that helps is a plus for me.

    Great review which brings a touch of normalcy to these unprecedented times, thanks Blake. Glad that Qatar performs well even on short-haul routes. What you shared of your experience at Kuwait Airport though is enough for me to give it a wide berth!

      Thanks Pierre. It was a shame that my Kuwait airport experience was so disappointing but I do still want to fly with Kuwait Airways who use the new T4 and that looks stunning.

      Blake Edgington - Airborne A Shame About KUWAIT AIRPORT, From The Videos I’ve Watched About It, It Obviously Gave Me a Rather Good Impression On It, Not In Your Experience The Way You Were Treated Was Totally Unacceptable, You Should Write To Them Regarding The Issues You Encountered! I I Were On This Flight I Would Go In With Fairly High Expectations, Now Lowered From Your Experience, May Try To Avoid Flying Within The Middle East , Thanks a For The Video Take Care Mate!

    Customer experience at airports directly impacts your view on that country. Management should heavily invest in such areas which are evident to be gaps as perceived by many. Personally I haven't dealt with Kuwaitis however, heard a lot about their behavior. You would see similar behavior in KSA as well
    Hope you enjoyed your trip. Awesome review as usual. Perhaps you can upload a review about Kuwait airport if you have.

    • @BlakeEdgington

      I wouldn’t want to generalise an entire country based on what I experienced with a few people. It just was not a particularly warm welcome for travellers. As I said in the video I only managed to get one piece of footage so won’t be able to review the airport fully I’m afraid.

    Better than BA in every single aspect? Also, if they offer aircraft like 777/350/330 why didn’t you choose them flights over this 320 one? Keep up the good work and stay safe! :)

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As BA are my national airline I do have a lot of love for them but they simply aren’t the airline they once were. Comparing Qatar and BA short haul is no contest, Qatar are better across the board. I chose this flight for two reasons. Firstly the time of day. There were later flights on larger jets but they would have been in darkness. Secondly I wanted to show a part of the fleet that is not as well represented.

    Lovely review of a nice airline .
    Funny about the entertainment system between seats as I watched a long haul flight and it was the same and sadly really spoilt there trip . Qatar does look a classy airline and glad you loved the trip . Kuwait 🇰🇼 airport well let’s just say from my point of view first impressions matter immensely and I’ve had incredible hospitality with Middle Eastern countries so what the hell happened here lol . Your whole experience was shocking and hope someone from Kuwait will watch this and sort it out immediately. Great review and have a nice weekend 👍

    So as I understand it you need a Visa to transit in Kuwait ?? Does not make sense but many things in that part of the world do not make sense ?? Kuwait looks like a dump....taking it off the list !! Flew Business Class with Qatar from Singapore to Doha and return and on the best flights I have ever had !! Cannot wait to try them again. Hope you are ok mate in these most uncertain of times. !!

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are just connecting with the same airline or no luggage then there would be no issue. Unfortunately I was transferring from Emirates to Qatar Airways who have no agreement. As I had a checked bag I had to technically enter the country hence the visa. Thanks for watching and best wishes.

    Awesome job Blake. Whilst I absolutely love Qatar Airways, a word of warning : they have 2x A319LR aircraft which are flown in some long haul routes (in my case I flew Doha to Nice) and this was not the best way to experience Qatar by far. Putting it lightly 😅
    No IFE, no power sockets and a rather uncomfortable seat for the 7 hour leg to Europe. So if you see your flight has an A319, be aware. Other than that, cannot fault them at all, brilliant crews, amazing food, widebodies are comfortable and best of all they're part of oneworld so I was able to earn Bronze status with British Airways thanks to all the tier points I racked up with Qatar 🙂👍🏻

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't say that the A319 was high on my list of flights anyway but thanks for the heads up. I have to admit that I am usually a little disappointed when I am so excited to fly an airline but Qatar delivered. Even more so on the flight the following day on the A380.

      @@BlakeEdgington I completely agree. I flew Qatar's A380 back in February 4 times throughout the month and it was a lovely experience. Best one was when I flew Perth to Doha in the upper deck economy cabin and was lucky enough to also get an exit row for the 12 hour flight. Managed to sleep for a good solid 6 hours 👍🏻

    The worst airline I have ever traveled with. Customer service is nonexistent, poor selection of recent Hollywood movie releases, average food, and they are over priced compared to other airlines going to Southeast Asia.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sorry to hear that. Personally my experience was incredible and that seems to be the same for the majority of people I have spoken with.

    • @Brysonray1
      @Brysonray1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlakeEdgington As a frequent flyer other airlines, I am more concern with customer service than logos on the seat belts or LED lighting. Waiting on hold to speak to their customer service dept. for 30-45 minutes several times is not acceptable. Being charged for an aisle seat when the plane is 30% capacity, was somewhat annoying. Having a policy of not waiting for delayed connecting flights, then delaying my fight for 45 minutes for a connecting flight. These are the issues that I am concerned about. Yes, I do agree that the in-cabin experience was above average, and the service was pleasant. However, there is more to an airline than what happens in the cabin.
