  • The Airport in Doha, Qatar is one of the nicest airports in the world. It is home to the Al Mourjan Business Lounge which was voted the best in the world in 2022. I spent a full day exploring this lounge as well as a transit hotel inside the airport.

When all other hubs were shutdown during Covid April 2020, Hamad International remained open. Qatar Airways kept their services going. Getting people home. I was locked down in Kuwait when Qatar Airways and The Australian Consulate arranged a flight out to get me home to Brisbane. My colleagues didn’t see their families for a year but Qatar got me home to my wife and kids when nobody else could. I’ll be forever grateful to them. Great airline.

@@jazeelhusain6254 it was during Covid when Qatar was not allowing any tourists into the country at all. Since the overnight hotels were outside the airport, they were closed to travellers as well. I arrived two days early waiting for my flight to Texas not knowing any of this as there were no updates. Then I missed my flight and had to wait another two days! Lol. I had to ask the military (international affairs) for permission to stay that long as it was not allowed and so they were trying to get me to take a flight to NewYork, the other side of America 😂. I ended up staying 4 days at the business class lounge (probably a world record).
Now you have the long story haha.

16:20 great info on the city tour of Doha for only approximately US$! Just FYI, you may have been able to pick up a rapid Covid test from a pharmacy in the airport and do it yourself. Once confirmed that it was negative you could have allowed them to do it and go on your tour. Just a thought for anyone in the same situation.

Would definitely go to Souq Waqif and back to the airport if I ever had another long layover just to buy some baklava!! My transit time was only around 3 hours at the early morning but still very happy with the food (breakfast stuffs that served alacar-te), the shower and spa indeed. Didnt catch the pool as well as the restaurant and probably I did enter the other lounges (cause it looks different inside from your film with mine). One point that you had spent almost 24 hours in the lounge but I heard and read the rule only allow customers to stay in it around three hours max. Is it true? and how come you would stay there in such a long time?? Best and cheers!🤟✌

Qatar Airlines is the best airline. ❤❤
    On so many levels.
2018 i got very sick at the airport, when I landed from Bangkok, and several people of the Qatar Airways stuff took so good care of me. They took me to a medical center at the airport. Then the business lounge to rest. Then they booked a hotel room near the airport so I could sleep properly. And got me a new flight the day after.
I could never thank them. enough for what they did for me, and how protected i felt.
So professional and humble at the same time.
    Love Qatar Airways ❤
