- In this review, I will share the full Qatar Airways A380 experience in Economy. Can the world's best airline meet my expectations on a flight from Doha, Qatar to London Heathrow?
Qatar Airways has been number one on my list of airlines to try ever since I began uploading flight reviews here on TH-cam. Thanks to a fantastic fare from Kuwait to Doha and on to London, I was able to try the airline during my recent Middle East trip. The airline which is a frequent winner of worlds best airline awards receives a great deal of praise. Will my Qatar Airways experience be everything that I hope? Join me as I travel from the home of Qatar Airways, Doha's Hamad International Airport to London Heathrow. I will share with you everything that you can expect from check in to landing and of course all that Qatar Airways has to offer in economy class on-board the gigantic Airbus A380. As always stick around at the end of the video for my final thoughts on the experience.

Excellent trip report. That's a pretty light load A380 flight, and I'm impressed by the ground staff who recommended you a seat at the less crowded cabin in the lower deck when he saw you filming..

It is a stunning airport, one of the best that I have visited.
Great Flight Report - I flew with Qatar 2 years ago from LHR to Phuket via Doha and back on B777-300, B787-8, A330 & A380 (lucky me). This was my only flight an A380 and it was so smooth and quiet. My wife was reading and didn’t even notice we had taken off it was that good. A great aircraft! I’ve just started by own channel, but don’t think it will be anything like yours. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the next video.✈️

I couldn't agree more about the ground staff. They know everything. No need to ask others about anything. Another good video. Informative and educational, rather than entertainment, which some other channels are.

Great video as always,this is what most airlines don't even offer in business class.If you want to experience the complete opposite of Qatar try Cebu Pacific from MNL to DBX 10 hours in a cramped A330
I have seen a couple of reviews of Cebu Pacific and it certainly wouldn’t be an experience I am in a rush to try.

Every long haul economy should have fully visible high mounted power plugs. Loved the contrast from the desert to the snow! As always you make economy look great with your enthusiasm and Qatar definitely appears to deliver on their end as well for an excellent experience.
I agree, it’s much nicer having the power outlet on the seat back rather than on the frame near the floor which is usually filthy. Thanks for watching.

I read Qatar Airways have closed the 1st Class lounge in Doha....but have expanded some new routes including Doha to Brisbane here in Australia...basically trying to get people home during these most troubled times !! Re Lamp Bear...

It was also VERY expensive !! Could not agree more re the 380 take off...and the views in this part of the world are stunning !! No wonder they win so many awards in all classes of travel !! Flew Business Class with them some years ago and it was indeed the best flight I have ever taken...sorry flew 1st Class with Etihad which was pretty good...but Qatar is all class in all classes. Thanks mate and hope you are bearing up in these dreadful times !!
From what I have read Qatar Airways are doing an awful lot to support travel and assist passengers getting home at the moment. All credit to them and it's just another reason that I hold them in such high regard.

Great video, Blake! I am a big fan of QR as well, in all classes; it's a pleasure to fly with them and to feel like a valued customer. What I really enjoyed is that you reviewed them in economy class. It just seems like so many vloggers out there are obsessed with flying "on the other side of the curtain" and often ignore economy. First A380 I went on was with Qatar DOH>BKK in 2015, similar experiences as you! Great video once again Blake 👍🏻

I laughed at the WiFi “Ultimate Plan”. Sounds very Orwellian! Thanks again for including the seat width: as a plus size person, I often worry about fitting in seats comfortably. PS - I like the new intro music.

Entertaining & informative video. We have travelled 12 times long haul with Qatar past 3 years but anywhere to and from Australia is long haul. We have fortunate to only travelled business class including Q suite. Hopefully 2021 will see us flying again

I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 11 Pro Max before this trip. All of the footage was recorded in 4K but my laptop can’t handle the size of the files. I have to convert it to HD but the quality does seem better even with this.
First class review Blake, thanks for posting. It reminds us all of better times! I`ve not had the pleasure of flying with Qatar Airways, but I`m getting a sense of them being more consistent than Emirates . Having such high expectations is always a danger, but in this case they didn`t let you down on any aspect ofthe offering.
I will have to fly them a few more times to check for consistency which is something that I definitely plan on doing 😉

We had a little turbulence about half way through but nothing major. You will have a great flight I’m sure.

If you get the opportunity I definitely recommend a visit. I will certainly be back in Doha as soon as I can.
Wonderful video Blake. Having flown 4 of these Qatar A380s I can definitely say that it's a nice experience. My favourite seats were either 68D on the lower deck (thanks to the missing seat in front due to the crew rest emergency exit hatch) or 25A on the upper deck (an exit row bulkhead seat with endless legroom). Upper deck is better in my opinion due to the roomier 2-4-2 layout.
I have been lucky enough to fly upper deck with Emirates and it’s a great experience. I could have sat upstairs on this one but the cabin was busy up there so chose the quieter part of the plane.

A wonderful video and well worth the wait after yesterday’s technical gremlins. I’ve not flown with Qatar but would certainly consider doing so. Looks like a great experience. 👍 I flew this same leg but in reverse, Heathrow - Doha, in October 2019. I really enjoyed it too. Although unlike your flight, the economy cabin was full. Can’t beat the A380! I tried to get in the upper cabin but was told it’s reserved for high status frequent flyers - so you did well to have that offered.
I really like Doha Airport with the exception that I don’t think there’s many spots you can get a decent view of the tarmac and aircraft. 🤔
You definitely have to try their A350. Another great aircraft. Their 787 is okay but you get a little less seat width. 💺
You are spot on about upper deck, the check in agent explained it to me but was so helpful it was incredible. I will be back onboard Qatar Airways again for sure.

If you’re flying them again, I’d highly recommend you to eye A380 & A350 flights, and avoid the B787.
I have heard that the 787 is not as comfortable as the airbus aircraft. It does fly from my local airport though so may give it a try at some point anyway.
Great video, but I definitely think you need to give them another try when flights go back to normal and are fuller just to get a taste of a full/regular flight service, when the flight is empty the crew have more time to spend on you 👍🏻
Oh for sure. As I mentioned in the video I will look to try Qatar Airlines again in future. That being said, from what I have heard the crew are some of the best in the sky no matter how busy the flight is.
I have only been on the emitares A380 and i thought the best economy area was the first part of the lower deck as it had plenty of places to stand up and stretch your legs, Yes the A380 is a dream to fly and i just hope not too many of them will be retired from service due to the current situation.
I had a few walks around the cabin and it was very spacious near the front as you mentioned. Sadly several airlines will likely retire their A380's sooner rather than later but the likes of Emirates will have them flying for a while yet.
I have flown to Manila via Doha on Qatar and agree they provide a fantastic service not far short of Singapore Air. The one thing that really gets me is their religious intolerance exemplified by the chicken sausage rather than a decent pork sausage. Also not forgetting that Doha airport cannot compare with Changi.
Personally I have no issue with an airline serving chicken in line with religion. It tasted nice!
@@BlakeEdgington The chicken sausage was just an example although it is true I find them inferior to a decent pork sausage. It's the principle of religious discrimination against all religions bar one even though all other airlines accommodate that religion.
