The best part about it, it was written in Basic! Talk about learning how to code! Some real incentive there to dig into the code, see what changing different variables would do. And making it your own game! Was really fun hacking the 5h!7 out of that game.
@@mattias969 Spoken by a guy/gal that has grown up in the era of the interwebs. No. It absolutely was hacking. Modding is what you do to something, to make it different. Hacking is what you do to something to make it do what you want. Loosely speaking.
Hey, the Great *TH-cam* Algorithm actually recommended this video! Not bad for such a small (for now) channel! *"Suppository Repository"* is quite a clever name 😁! Here's to your upcoming views 👍!
I feel I would enjoy this if it wasn't so hard, all the cool dark fantasy games like the dark souls style that appeal to me seem to be super difficult, I loved everything about Elden Ring except dying all the time and fighting a boss for 30 fucking minutes. It's a shame a lot of cool games end up being more frustrating than enjoyable sadly.
If you feel like you'd like it, keep an eye out for a sale as few like it exist in the wild nowadays. The devs are working hard to make the game accessible according to the updates. May revisit this game once it's all released. “Its the not the Destination, It's the journey.” Wizardry and Souls/Borne/Sekiro/Ring-likes are cut from the same cloth. Games like these could waste a players time but it didn't matter so much so long as one got something out of it. So Many deaths in the Souls/Borne/Sekiro/Ring-like games but it builds character. As for the IRL time taken between bouts i get ya though, but hey its all a matter of taste and investment. Welcome to the channel man.
I can't believe NES let kids play a game this hard. I was born in this darkness, and am thrilled to return to it. Thanks -- I learned about it here!
Remember castle shadowgate?
Thanks for bringing my attention to this. I grew up with Wizardry, glad to see it make a return.
The video is pretty good too, enjoyed watching it.

You are talking about modding not hacking. Hacking is something else.

I always thought the aesthetic of navigating the hallways looked cool 😎

Im glad you like it and that it does justice to the original. These types of rpg's arent my cup of tea.
i bought this a couple weeks ago, unfortunate that this game cannot be played on a mac, even thru steam. but I'm just happy to support the game.
It may be possible to try the App Winebottler on Mac to run Windows-based Programs. Not sure if it'll work but good luck!
TILTOWAIT!
Back when games relied on challenge, rather than animating fetishes, to engage players.
Did they make an rpg rogue like of it...? If so...I do not approve. Lol
