I jst started playing FM and my first save is with Manchester United, in my 3rd season, I won the League and the carabao cup, and we nearly won the quadruple, Everton beat us in the FA Cup Final and Bayern batterd us 3-0 in the final, so I actually have a good experience with Manchester United on this game so far.

Nice video, as Utd fan I've also been experimenting with several 3 at the back systems with the Utd squad, but something that I've noted is that even though you'd think that 3 CBs and 2 WBs with at least one DM or defensive minded CM is more secure at the back, you actually still concede a lot of goals. I wonder if that's because the game is coded in a way that your WBs are higher up the pitch and therefore more easily exploited by good and fast opposition AML/R players. You'd think that the 2 wider CBs make up for that but in the match engine they often don't I've noted... not sure why. I've also noted that if you play against a good AM(C) - ST pairing they can often exploit the gaps in between your 3 CBs, even though in theory these shouldnt exist because it's the point of playing 3 CBs lol. Thoughts?

CCB and LCB - BPD
RCB - WCB
RCDM or RCM - BWM
LCDM or LCM - Volante Balanced or AP on balanced
RWB - Complete Wingback ATTACK
LWB - wingback balanced
RW and LW - Inside Forward attack and IF balanced respectively
ST - Complete Forward attack
That tactic u have is just non-sense. Looks like the tactics for 2020 Sporting, not 2024
First of all my tactic is VERY similar to what you’ve said if you simply swap sides which is what I think will happen to get the best out of the players
Also While I respect you commenting this I would also like to think you know this is a video game… you literally don’t know how Amorim is going to play with United. Your not from the future, as you’ve literally said he played this very style in 2020 😂
@KempiXI so, the title shouldn't be "I rebuild Manchester United with RUBEN AMORIM Tactics in FM24!", it should've been "I adapted Ruben Amorim tactics to Manchester United in FM24!". And I understand you and I can't predict the future, but aa the title says, u should've used the exact tactic, roles and instructions to simulate as real as possible.

Ehh tbf the wingbacks usually don’t cut inside much so a cwb would roam too much and won’t hold that width out wide. The only way i see that working is with someone like Edwards on the same side who makes movements out wide to then cut in, so in the sense of an IF on that same side it makes sense. I’d argue though, that the wide players are more so 10s as Trincao is often picking up the ball in deep areas of the pitch, and Goncalves is more of a playmaker than an IF. IMO it’s more of a 3-4-2-1 than it is a 3-4-3 in most instances, even in build up the “wingers” are very very narrow with Gyokeres being the one to run the channels more often than not.
