G'day Alan, Did you tune your Tig R after putting the Intake on? Thinking of putting on on the Wifes Tiguan R but would prefer to wait for a remap rather than piggyback options.
Waiting for the ECU to be unlocked, I not a piggyback enthusiast. Also have had the front cross member upgrade, that is definitely worth it, as the handling is improved.
Your videos are great. Very informative and straight to the point which most channels struggle to do. The charts and sound comparisons etc are great too. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Always interested in Golf R mods, and you are my go to YT channel 👍 like the looks, sound and performance gains of the R600. . .in terms of general in-gear sound for longer runs at relatively low revs (say 2500 -4000 rpm), would be interested to hear your view whether there is much increase in cabin noise over stock? 😎
better to use stock system and just connect a hose from your cabin AC under dash box to your air engine intakes before the filters of course for a true cold air intake...cheaper too
Thank you for your kind words! 8HP on this intake. We have another video showing the exhaust, we don't expect any change in output from the cat-back portion only. The downpipe would yield more power!
In the old days, the reason why you didn't really want to use an oiled filter is due to contamination of the MAF sensor. Most modern cars do not use MAF sensors, and specifically this platform does not. So its a non-issue.
Thanks for info, i track my car so it seems pretty good gain without adding additional stress on the engine. I think around 20HP in high range rpm is great result and might be significant performance increase on track while leaving ret of the engine stock.
@@RegalAutosport I can confirm that the R600 intake can be installed without removing the coolant hose. However, as you mention, the engine bay would look cleaner with the reroute.
@@RegalAutosport Racing Line have on their website, have a matte or gloss carbon option for an extra $360. Still about half the cost of the Eventuri setup and I would wager at that point, you're just paying for the Eventuri name. Maybe the Eventuri comes into it's own with a bigger turbo but since no one has gone big turbo on a MK8 and done intake comparisons, there's no way to know.

Thanks for the comment, in our tests, the Eventuri is the best intake for this platform. The RacingLine is the next best for sure, and one for the more budget conscious that wants an improvement in power!
Thank you! It depends really, aesthetically they are very different. It's down to personal preference, just like exhaust systems! They both provide tangible gains.
@@RegalAutosport I just love the look of eventuri, and think it sounds better than the r600, even if it is more expensive. But I know what you mean akrapovic v Milltek, all down to price. Decisions, decisions 🤔
I want to know this too, what sounds better? This or the Eventuri intake? You have done both so would love your opinion on it - to be honest here, I want this upgrade for the sound!
Had the R600 fitted to my Tiguan R, great result. Thanks to everyone at Regal.

As always, great work. 👌

i think you have spent too much time on the internet
Would love to see how it goes on the T-Roc R too if you can get your hands on one.
Lets do it!
Let me know🤣. Need some tips too
Would the gains be higher if you compared a remap+stock intake vs a remap+R600..?
Only one way to find out
@@RegalAutosport Will you do a video on this? cheers
Nice! :), might be my first step ;)
Definitely recommended!
Hi beautiful channel. The upgrade is 8hp or 18hp? Sorry form my question…. Do you have tested Also the Muffler? Best regards. Dave

@@RegalAutosportThanks a lot. Is good on this car only r600 plus Remap? Best regards
Do you have the link for the hose and the elbow can’t find them together anywhere ! (USA) awesome video !
For USA, please contact RacingLine for a purchase contact.
Thanks for the info. Great video. The forge in take hose and r600 together will be a better combo?
No problem! Glad you enjoyed it, why do you think it will be a better combo?
@@RegalAutosportthe test you did on the hose alone did good power gains throughout. Also the forge hose is bigger in diameter?
So I'm curious. Did this trip any check engine lights or is it plug and play and the car figures it out?
no check engine lights
The foam filter of the R600 is oiled.
Can this harm the engine? (intake path)

does the intake system come with coolant hose and intake hoses??
It does not, these items are extra
So You need to buy separately all of those parts so intake, intake pipe and elbow? Or everything is included into the set?
Hey! Thanks for watching, the R600 intake is one part, then the hose and intake elbow come as one part.

Is it possible to install this without the re-routing the coolant hose below the intake?
Possibly, but we prefer to re-route to improve the engine bay aesthetic
@@RegalAutosport I can confirm that the R600 intake can be installed without removing the coolant hose. However, as you mention, the engine bay would look cleaner with the reroute.
Did you have to cut the OE coolant hose off before putting on the Racingline one?
Nope
I thought Jack Harlow got into modifying cars for a sec there 😂

R600 vs Eventuri? Any power gains or just better looks?
Eventuri ticks all the boxes, R600 also ticks some boxes apart from the carbon look.
