That thing wouldn’t make much of a street engine but for a drag car that power curve looks great. I miss my VQ builds sometimes. Over the years I’ve built a 4g and two 5.5g cars. The 4g was probably the most fun because it was just a basic 00VI VQ30/ 5 speed that didn’t get hardly any attention but with a boatload of nitrous it would beat up on a lot of cars you wouldn’t expect. These days I’ve got a VR30 powered Q50 so still a similar lineage of Nissan sedan.
pretty cool, but be careful, at 800 vqs tend to have head lift issues, ARP CA 625 studs have better strength over L19 studs at this power level. What trans is in this? I feel like this would eventually pop a FWD trans I’m not too familiar with how FWD trans hold up, unless there are upgraded parts available to a FWD trans.
@DEATHWISHVQ thanks stock trans custom 2 flywheel triple disc clutch L19 have same tensile strength as the 625. The L19 just get contaminated easier when exposed by the elements
@@DesmondStLouis sohos formula for their 900+ hp builds includes CA (custom aged) 625 studs, and o rings on the block or head to hold the pressure and avoid head lift. L19s should be handled with care, not exposed to oil, water, or sweat, they are prone to hydrogen embrittlement which deteriorates the material, I saw this in a HP academy video. It’s a sick build tho, just spearing more info to the community. This car originally has the VQ30 correct? When you did the swap what was needed?

That tune was just cleaning up the fuel we didn't even play with the timing or the variable variable cam timing stay tuned
