- Hi, and thanks for stopping by. This is my follow up to the video about Adventure Time Iceberg I posted several days ago. In this video, I talk about some topics I missed and some changes suggested by you guys. I also talk about the state of this channel and my plans moving forward. Thanks for watching. Also, my voice sounds different in the retcons section because I recorded it in the early morning. Either that or the sheer rage I felt from being challenged in my judgments was pervasive enough to affect my vocals.

There is one about when jake dies his body doesnt stop growing and then pb takes his dying/expanding corpse to the giant hole in Ooo to fill it up and years later the hole in Ooo is filled because of jakes magic stretching permantly fixing Ooo for the future cast and for the planet as a whole
Yeah it's storyboard artist's Steve Wolfhard's headcanon. Personally I think it's a really beautiful ending to jake

@@raccooncafe5689 yea. The tragic part is that I did watched Adventure Time’s earlier episodes back in the day but I sadly haven’t watched the whole series for some unexplained reason. Maybe things in my life got in the way or something, maybe High School? Not sure. But out of all the shows at that time, the shows I followed were Gumball and Regular Show but I need to look back at these shows.

It's never too late to watch em and as an adult the lessons hit a lot harder recently watched adventure time with my wife and man was it wholesome and great. Early 2010 was a good time for entertainment

Also more to the lich being still "not defeated." Has everyone really forgot that copies of the Jake-Lich's hand was passed to literally every dimension in the Adventure Time universe?
The lich also retorts that all his hands have been destroyed in every universe as a version of fin always exist in some carnation to destroy evil the hand we see is the last to exist

One thing that you missed was the weird human mutation/de-Evolution throughout the show. In stakes and islands special, we see the humans adopt animal hats for protection. 1000 years later to the present time in the show, we see some of those people evolve gills and live up underground, slightly less human than before. Finally, in the final graybles episode, we see the Gilbert be cornered by an underground beast that is oddly wearing a hat. I believe that those underground humans just reverted back into monsters after all that time
this is amazing. i can't believe i missed the opportunity to touch on this considering its potential
I HAD NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT! That is genius!
I always assumed that future Candy Kingdom looked like that because that was the result of PB and Aunt Lolly's kingdoms becoming one. In fact, when we saw Uncle Gumbald's own Candy Kingdom, it looked very city-like.
Also I love the idea that Shermy gets his own Finn Sword who acts as a sort of mentor figure.
Whoa for some reason I hadn't considered that. PB and Aunt Lolly's joint kingdom is totally plausible. Also I too love the idea of Finn being Shermy's mentor figure, Rattleballs style.
I mean the credit did show many of Gumbald's army hanging out with the banana guards so the fact that they join kingdom isn't too far off
I thought that the humans who came back to ooo in the finale combined their technology with pb
If this is the iceberg, then the stuff outside of the show (comics, games, etc.) is an eldrich abomination underneath it
The comic is really cool. desert princess, time travel and so on
Honestly I'd say that the comics are not canon since some pretty crazy stuff happens in some of them that just never gets mentioned in the show.
I believe the humans 1000+ theory, mainly because I believe Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors exist in the same universe. In that show, all the humans live on Mars in domes similar to the ones the martians live in Adventure Time.
considering the technology humans had towards the end of the series, it's totally plausible imo.

my favorite episode has to be hall of egress. we've both seen uncivilized elk's two videos on the episode. finn repeated months of life trying to figure out what the deal is with the hall. and needing to literally shed his identity to wander aimlessly before he could escape his trial. its a beautiful image. this episode is where I would claim finn finally grew into an adult
def a contender for best episode for me as well. the premise is golden and the writing more so
I'm surprised you didn't have the fact that BMO changes genders depending on what gender the writers need them to be for an episode.
Oh that one would've been a really good topic to have in the follow up. I'm considering making a community post listing all the ones that I missed even after the follow up.

yo I had never heard about this until now. I’m mildly desensitized to cartoon gore, but that photo actually got to me. It’s weird seeing a character I grew up with get mutilated.
yea that was the second episode i watched by accident, as you do when randomly turning on the tv. It's why i never watched adventure time again.

Of course The Lich was never defeated, he stated himself that he "always returns". He's more than just a person, he's an entity, a concept, the ceaseless wheel. Sweet P may have gotten rid of the hand, but The Lich will always find a way to return
I like to think that since sweet pea is part Lich, the lich can not return currently because he is already present while sweet pa lives
Yeah it seems mostly logical that since he too comes from a catalysts comet, he too reincarnates. However that may just be a property exclusive to finn

@@jetbean9157 And seeing as how sweet Pea seems to be immortal and _growing_ (as he still wanders Ooo a thousand years after Adventure Time, many many times bigger than he was back in the day), the Lich may not return, ever.
Just on a random note, about the Sweat Pea/Litch thing: the show has kind of been tackling that question since season one, with NEPTR having to choose between Finn and the IK. I don’t know, it’s kinda cool that the show just keeps going at these themes.
for sure, their commitment to having weirdly profound themes in their show is what makes it one of my favorites.
Im pretty sure that the litch not being defeated is also referring to how the litches hand is in every dimension because of the farmworld portal
One vital detail I haven’t seen many people cover on the internet is the mushroom war reference in BMO’s distant lands episode. It turns out there were two bombs and a third event, which seems to be an explosion of a completely different origin. This third explosion is what created the crater in the planet, but we have absolutely no idea what it was. My theory is that, the mushroom war itself was primarily fought with nuclear bombs, however, that green catalyst comet that landed in evergreen’s era contained some sort of elemental essence of the Lich. Human society found this and attempted to harness it in some hybrid nuclear bomb, i.e. the mutagenic bomb. As this went off, the essence of the lich was able to spread and interact/ take control with a physical host. The third explosion I referenced could be another failed weapon, maybe from the opposing nation in the war
How do you watch the distant land episodes and literally I love that It would make sense that there's two or 3 but that means ice king and Marcy just wasted their time

I feel like humans did escape to space, seeing as there's a space elevator in the CK, and though it is definitive that the Candies are in the prize dispenser guard for safety, I can't help but think that the presence of raincorn and hybrids alongside the penguin looking aliens we know to be aggressive, what if raincorns went back to human hunting, leading to war, leading to the mass evacuation of the CK?
The penguin looking aliens that you mentioned are the ones from that last Graybles episode, right? Those are actually Rainidogs, just evolved to be more generalized. The space bride that died actually had jowels

My thought in a theory for the scholars of GOLB is that in the scene “before their was time there were monsters” that all the monsters were GOLB scholars and when the monsters died out/ disappeared the lich called himself the last of the scholars. My other theory on that is the scholars of GOLB was actually a group of liches all from the time of monsters or created from the mushroom bomb with the lich(a little support for this is in one of the intros for the lich him and 3 others are walking out of the mushroom bomb explosion)
But Hunson Abadeer would then be another Golb Scholar by that logic.

Gunther is one of these primordial monsters, but he is not a scholar of GOLB. GOLB is either one of these monsters, or he is a separate entity entirely. The Lich does not count himself as one of these monsters, and it appears he’s trying to harness them in some way. It’s tough to say for certain what exactly their relations are to one another, but the Lich is separate from all of them, and he labels himself specifically as a scholar of GOLB-GOLB being some type of ancient deity of chaos or entropy.
Here is the ONE thing that I have not seen talked about: Moe created the Fire Giants and how it could be connected to the Great Mushroom War. It's a scratch I haven't been able to itch in my brain, and I would like to know what others think about it.

I’ll stick here, you’re a pretty rad person
There's a good chunk of lore surrounding 1000+ and the pup kingdom, in steve wolfhard's blog theres concept art of future pups with bios and descriptions of their powers, some of them stricken out saying "extinguished at birth". Gibbon's learned powers are pink ice and power extinguishment, and beth (the pup princess) is stated to be exiled, a fugitive and an enemy of the state. Since every pup is born with a power it's likely gibbon has been controlling the entire kingdom by neutralizing his subjects, and he's either related to beth or has forcibly taken over her kingdom. The canonicity of this is shaky since it's a bunch of doodles by one of many people who worked on the show but it's still fascinating to think 1000+ ooo has a big narrative going on. (edit) and how could i forget, in lemonhope part 2 it's heavily implied the candy kingdom lost a war against the pup kingdom which sheds some light into pb's disappearance and the prize ball guardian's purpose

When the bomb goes off in farm world because of Finn using the crown, the crown is also on the ice king under the bomb. They later retconned and explained this in crossover which I thought was a really cool little detail
The crown is so cool. Gunter wanted to become like Master Evergreen and then after Simon stopped wearing the crown, the penguin Gunter became the ice thing

The reason your iceberg got so much popularity is because it was very entertaining and people watched the whole or almost the whole video and that's what puts a video in peoples recemended
It's actually comments and viewer interaction that helps the most! Comment comment comment that's why when I like a video I try to be as big a part of the comments as I can!
I doubt you'll read this but I truly hope you do. You've got a huge number of subscribers in such a short amount of time and with so few videos; you're assumedly slightly overwhelmed, so I want to ensure you that all 18k subscribers (at the time that I'm writing this) are deserved. You didn't 'get lucky' with the algorithm as you mentioned at the end of the video, and it wasn't just because of the popularity of the subject matter covered in these two videos, it's entirely down to you. I was incredibly surprised in the original iceberg analysis when you mentioned that it was your first video. Your production quality, attention to detail, entertainment, voice, everything is on par/better than the vast majority of video-essay channels, and many leagues ahead of any other 'first video' that I've ever seen. Humans in the future is super interesting. I personally agree with the theory that they’re responsible for a lot of the futuristic architecture and may have evacuated into space to avoid the comet. It makes total sense to me. Now, as for if they actually evacuated into space or if that was something more temporary (hence the space elevator being functional) we can only speculate, but it does seem like the humans are now a full part of Ooo somehow.
Even if you aren’t full adventure time I think you have potential so I’ll be subbing and watching you in the future ^^

For me, I like to believe that there's just two Liches per universe now. Finn and the Lich, or the Catalyst Comet rather, *always* exists, each universe just increased in difficulty in terms of survivability as there are now more than one Lich.
What's weird is that, the Lich is the last scholar of Golb, yet we don't see Golb in the "before there was nothing, there were monsters". I guess he really *is* entropy? Or just a creature of some kind? The wish-granting crystals Betty used allowed for her to fuse with Golb, which shouldn't be possible if he really *is* entropy.

I like the idea that humans fled to space, given Bravest Warriors, another one of Pendleton's shows, having future humans living on Mars in similar ways to the Martians of Adventure Time. So humans go to mars and join in to martian life, eventually surpassing and taking over Mars
I'd say do a video on the 2nd iceberg if it interests you. It would be cool to see your thoughts on an iceberg not made by yourself, which is kinda part of the charm of these types of videos.

An interesting piece of obscure trivia/lore is the character Laurel Princess who only appears in Ice King’s imagination zone in What Is Life? and I think is the only princess to not appear in Princess Day. Is she made up by his imagination? Is she dead? Is she not a registered princess?
EDIT: I think the only other Princess who doesn't appear is the Orangutan Princess (I think that's her name) from Water Park Panic.

the people went to space because that's how we get bravest warriors. everyone moves to the old martian city and inhabit it, spreading through the solar system and galaxy. it's a lot like how in ursula k le guin's books, humans left earth so long ago we can't even be sure that's where we first came from

I like the Sweet P theory. But my touch on it would be as "Sweet P - The Last Hero". In which Sweet P turns back into the Lich King once he dies. This is enforced by the scene in wich the Lich turns into a baby when he touches the healing goo in the galactic prison.
So no matter what happens, or how much good he does in the world, he will inevitably be the one who destroys it.
