@@oyeh8908 keep crying eternal is better in every way going back to 2016 is so boring the game is won once you get the rocket launcher you actually have to put in effort in eternal. It has much better resource management requirement, better environments, faster gameplay, better glory kills, better challenge, and encourages you to play in a versatile and fun way
The shotgun pump to end the song is so damn epic
I’m 38 years old and played the original Doom when it was released.
The absolute best sound in the game was that shotgun racking a shell. It was goosebump inducing.
It's almost as satisfying as pumping an actual shotgun

Dr. Samuel Hayden's voice is so damn underrated, I swear that effect is responsible for half of the awesomeness of this intro
I'll never get over Samuel trying to convince the Doom Slayer what they did was necessary lol. Also one of the most badass intros.
I like how of the first few people the one who saw the shotgun reload was the freaking v-tuber. xD
Whenever someone misses this glorious bit it just triggers me immensely, way more than it should.
Also this is definitely in the top 5 of all game intros. Maybe even the best. It does the one thing a good intro should, and it does that absolutely flawlessly: It sets the scene.
- You learn the basic combat, from hallway fights to gorenest arenas and that you have to move fast and be aggressive.
- You learn of the bad guys, get a rough overview of their intentions (cold rationalism from Samuel, the cultist behaviour from Olivia and the just corrupting and evil demons)
- You meet the protagonist and even without saying a single word the characterization is perfectly done. You don't have to know the Doomslayer's backstory or how he sounds. You learn he hates demons, he is so powerful that the demons and their cultists fear him like the grim reaper, you see what he thinks of Samuel and his "betterment of mankind" and you learn he is *angry.*
And the music just elevates this from "very good" to "actual masterpiece". It supports the need for aggressive and fast-paced fighting and it makes *you* angry.
Korone's got excellent taste
My favorite reaction has to be Korone's, she was the first to recognize the cocking of the shotgun tops of the end of the riff as a percussion flourish. Such a cute-sounding streamer being so into the ultraviolence of that game was also pretty funny.
She's also into horror films, in which slasher films are her particular favorites
Her response to getting the Super Shotgun was great, even with the limited facial expressions her model was able to make
There's a reason she got the nickname of Doog.

Wow! Glad SOMEONE said the right thing at the end. You don't COCK a shotgun, you RACK it.
You don't rack it either. A "pump" action shotgun is technically a slide-action. You slide it.
When you cycle the action on a shotgun that doesn't have an external hammer it cocks the hammer for you so technically it's not wrong to say you are cocking the gun
The stark difference of Markiplier to Korone is great but it's even better how much she loves it. Violent doggo

Oh man, FFSTV takes me back to the old streams they used to do. They had such an amazing formula with that setup since it blends the group cam, gameplay, chat and presentation so nicely. So sad they fell off so hard and their content is now just a ghost of what they used to do.

This game has arguably one of the best intros to a game. Doom Eternal’s intro is awesome too but this one just hit harder. I have played through this game probably over 8 times and I still get chills every time.

At 10:22 it happened to me once as well that the cocking didn't synced to the music. It was so devastating to me that I had to restart from the beginning. Luckily for him he hasn't had noticed and had still been psyched.

Lol just redownloaded eternal and the opening intro hyped me up so much i had to come on youtube and watch other reactions😂
there is some text in a loading screen a bit later that reads somehting like : "this is the demon world, dr whatshername did experiments and open the gates resulting in something. But you dont care about any of that, all you need is guns and bullets" not exact quote but similar. and at that moment i remembered what it was like playing the old doom and quake and other games back in 2000 (when i got my first pc) without a care in the world. fucking masterpiece of a game.
