Hey Fab, rats… Huge fan dot You should go back and check your video of picking up the hummer… The door for the driver side was on the roof the whole time. Keep up the good work and keep having fun❤
@@bripslag i think you should check 8:37 in the video and around there im an old army mechanic myself and i can safely say that is the door on the roof random guy on the street told no lies
The TCM works on 12VDC. Everything else is 24VDC. Verify 12V side is charging, behind passengers seat is a red reset button for the 12V TCM circuit also when you removethe seat there are fuse holders mounted to the cross brace should be 15Amp blue fuses.. That should get the transmission out of limp mode. If I had to guess voltage regulator for 12V is bad.( box on top of Alternator) . Once rear battery dropped below 10.5V or spikes over 15V the circuit breaker trips and TCM goes into limp mode. No power to TCM would cause the no crank as well.
Yep, driver's door was sitting on the roof.....when y'all pulled out, I was yelling at the screen...."get the door off the roof!!!!" I blame hunter! LOL
I was racing one of my grandsons in a go-cart. He was 12-13, I was about 67. He was in the lead and I was closing in on him very slowly. I had the accelerator pegged to the bottom and only touching the brakes going into turns. He was about 1/3 of my weight. About the 3rd lap, he went into a hairpin turn ahead of me and for a moment, I lost sight of him. When I rounded the turn, he was sitting sideways in the lane and I t-boned right into him at nearly full speed. The look on his face was priceless. I had no time to brake, I'm not even sure that I even let off the gas. Great times.
The drivers door was on the roof of the Hum V when you picked it up. I was yelling "IT'S ON THE ROOF" but you didn't hear me lol. Gone when you got home
As soon as you pulled out I said to myself. I don’t think he realized the drivers door was on the roof and that’s why it was hitting you in the head. 😅
If Ethan comes down to pick it up, make sure you guys feel around the exhaust and just a lil patchwork can make a big difference, and the doors and roof would be good to get duct taped up, or something figured out because thats a thousand miles.
The brakes run on power steering pressure not vacuum so make sure that’s good. And you can bypass the “computer” by pulling the big cannon plug and jumping pins a, e, and i
23:35 The old Tacoma in the background seems to be missing some of those round thingies underneath it. Either that or Doc Brown had a fancy hover-conversion performed on it all the way in 2015. 😄
I have worked on hmmwv's for 20+ years. You should get glow plugs might fix hard start issue. Also make sure all the air is blead out of steering system before you change pump. If the brakes feel spongy it's probably still got air in power steering system.
Paul's face when he heard the door was on the roof, hahaha. I can relate, I forgot to lock the latches on my UTV roof last Memorial Day when I towed it down to the off-road park. The next morning I realized my mistake when there wasn't a roof on top anymore. RIP. Took my nice light bar with it too.
I could swear you can see something (door maybe) laying on the top when it was in the storage unit. Check out 7:19 there looks to be something on the roof over the drivers side.
I love that TH-cam car guys all help each other out. In such a big country it’s amazing that people are willing to travel many hours to help each other . I go to borrow a few sockets from a friend 7miles away and it takes 2days and many excuses🤣 Going to be fun seeing you enjoying this piece of America’s military might 👍
.4 seconds on a K1 Speed-sized track is huge Paul. This is from experience doing endurance racing on those tracks and a 12h go-kart race using similar karts.
A trick we used to do is hold a flat piece of plastic over the exhaust and turn it over. Not sure why it always worked but you hold tight for about 5-8 seconds and release the pressure fast and she would pop off.
There was something laying on top of the humvee when you loaded it. Possibly the driver side door. I didn't see it when you guys were at the go cart track. That may have been whet was lost.
They claim they didn't go in that side and they checked it but that's a bold face lie because it wasn't mounted it was sitting on the roof like you said

The cross bow above the seats should be straight with a slight bow upward in the center. The two aluminum square tubes are the end piece to the standard military cot.
Pretty sure the driver's door was on top of the Cab when the Hummer was inside the storage container. You can see the metal frame of the door when you mentioned the ceiling falling when you were backing it out...
This is really cool of you guys, but in all honesty I wouldn't think nothing different of Fab Rats you guys are awesome and always ready to help anyone. God Bless you guys and your families, stay safe on your travels 🙏🏼. I think I can speak for all your following families, we love you guys 💪😊👍
Paul the video with your little boy Grayson was awesome your mini me acts just like dad for sure good kids you have and from a dad that's years of love and work
BTW Paul the glowplugs are thankful for you letting them do their thing. All the yahoo's jump in then right straight to cranking without giving them a chance to warm up. Leads to screwed up glowplugs that swell up / seize and or break off when replacing them. A off and on experience with them from 87 to 10.
Yup, they need some real help on that one 😅 fabrats to the rescue. Can't wait to see the collaboration, more so the wheeling lol. Awesome fellas thanks for the share
USMC comm guy here. Idk if this is common knowledge; I've only had to do this on cold starts on winter days, but covering the exhaust with a wood board or somethin' usually helps it start a lil faster. Also, the amount of times we've had to push these things is awful especially when the armored one's get stuck in ditches. Our unit always got the shitty one's the other units didn't want. It made it seem impossible that these survived the heat of the middle east, let alone the North Carolina heat. We became real good friends with the mechanics, to say the least.
Havnt been keeping up with FabRats much lately my mother passing and stuff but think ill watch this one tonsee what theyve got in store for the troubled Humvee
Man, i wasnt sure about Sean at first but Sean is the kind of guy every business owner is looking for. What a great guy, humble, knows a ton, stays in his lane, puts his head down and grinds but when he does cut up its hilarious. Great addition to the team.
This is a really great vid guys. I love being able to see the other side of this project and meet (kind of) the other hands involved. Stay safe gents and again, bravo 👍🏼

On the HMMWV in the service port next the your right knee as you’re in the drivers seat, there are a bunch of pinned holes. If you jump S & T together it triggers the starter so you don’t have to get under the vehicle.
A Grind Hard Fab Rats colab would be epic. Hope he brings the new Monster Bike with him. Oooo, let’s see if the Chang Lee really can go where nobody can walk in Utah Will!
I saw the door on the roof from the start and thought that they wouldn't notice it. After they loaded up the Hummer I could still see it on the roof. I was hoping they wouldn't miss it, but they did. 🫤
Looking forward to reuniting with you and our problem child Humvee! Thank you for all of your help 🙏
I'am looking forward to watch GrindHard and FabRats do something fun together! 😀
