Rory is the master of trail repairs. only the Goat would take ole blue into the hot tub and make it out in one piece. gotta give justin credit for all the editing making all this videos worth watching
A supercharged big block offroad welding truck . It doesn't get any cooler than that . Great images and once again, Rory shows off his driving skills . Amazing stuff.
You guys have the best camera work and editing. No annoying background music and some epid shots. Just guys out doing what they like. Thanks for keeping it real.
Old Blue has come a long way from where she started. I'm a Ford guy but major respect for your Chevy's they get the job done. The comment about making a shopping cart into a truck was priceless. Enough money can fix just about anything. Last time I checked though money still doesn't grow on trees. You've earned yours just to dump it back into the trucks. Thanks for sharing.
What is really amazing: Trailmater drives these trails, to repair other rigs, like it was a Sunday drive. While everyone else is taking an extreme adventure.
LOL! He is just drumming up business by making it look easy so that some retiree (like me) will go "that is easy", and need hauled out! Just kidding, but yeah, it makes want to try it!
Great idea, only a tan shirt. A little black print, vice a lot of tan print would: - hide dirt better - be much more 'breathable' (cause less sweating when worn)
@billbillinger2491 i was thinking a black shirt cause all you'd have to print would be the rocks. The black of the shirt becomes the shadow. Though the inverse would work too. And not everyone lives where it's hot, so other people could buy black without having to worry about sweating through.
I think it would be neat to take the same silhouette shot, except line up mater, blue, buggy, and mini Mater and put that on a tee shirt. I bet that would sell out fast! I think I would have to have a tee shirt or hoodie with that on it!! You could have them going all the way around the shirt with the words "we got ya covered"
The shot where you crest the hill and you can see way off in the distance, all the rolling land. Great shot! I would have thought the wrecker too wide to do the Hut Tub but it did! Duals for the win!
If you shared these videos with a half a million of your friends, and they subscribe, then this channel could have three quarters of a million subscribers. But, in reality, who has a half a million friends, lol? Like, subscribe, comment and share. The more we share the more likely people will subscribe. Have you noticed since Rory started this channel with Shawn, then the 1st Wrecker Games happened, this channel grew with more subscribers. Then after the 2nd Offroad Games the channel grew more, watch and see how it will grow some more after the 2025 Offroad Games. 2 more long cold months to go........
Every time you guys mention Hell’s Revenge, it brings back memories of my dearly departed mother-in-law. She kept me on edge for 30 years and I swear, when she’d get mad her eyes would glow red and her voice took on this low rumbling growl. Another great video you guys. Hoping y’all have an incredible 2025.
Listening to the squeal from the blower or its belt is not a pleasant thing when you have an ear infection!!! But it was worth it. Great shots of Ol Blue's shadow, Sean!!! I thought I was listening to my uncle, who said the same thing to me after he retired from farming. He had an old blue as well but it was a 68/69/70 F300 as he called it. It started life as a plain Jane 69 F250 2wd with a 390v8, 3 on the tree and a good heater. He bought it from the Ford dealership that he worked at just before he retired from that and bought a farm and went farming full time. His boss was also retiring. In the next 14 years, he replaced the cab with a 70 cab after his huge bull jumped up on top and did a Mexican hat dance on it, crushing in the roof, then he put a 1 ton Dana 90 and suspension that he salvaged from a roll over from his neighbor rebuilt the bottom end of the 390 with used parts from another 390 he salvaged from somewhere and the box from a 68 F250. After he sold the farm, he bought a 429 from his son-in-law's 1970 Mercury Grand Marquis. Totally rebuilt it with new cam, pistons lifters, etc. Had the transmission rebuilt, installed a brand new differential and axles, installed power disc brakes on the front so his power steering worked properly. Then had his friend who did the autobody at the Ford dealership fix the body up and paint it. I smiled at him when I saw it and he said that there comes a time in a man's life when investing in something to last becomes better than fixing something to work. He drove that truck until 1990 when he sold it after they took his license away because of his heart. I wish I had the opportunity to buy it from him. I saw the truck last summer when I was in Dauphin. The guy said that he bought it off my uncle and drove it daily until 2016, and now he uses it in summer to hauling his camper with it. The only thing he's done with it, other than the usual maintenance, was he updated the ac and put a radio in it.
Yes Old Blue is back on the trail doing what she does best repairing recovery vehicles! Rory and Shawn to the rescue and soon the Mini Mater will get a welder! Beautiful office that you guys work in. Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed the extra-curricular driving around that job you did, as well as your thought process history on building your fleet. And the views I will probably never see in person. Thanks.
Don’t know what it is about watching Big Heavy Tow trucks going in to places they weren’t meant to go. Glad to see blue doing recoveries again . Can’t wait to see you guys work on Big D and take her out on recoveries again.
Having a quality mechanic.. Rory.. throw quality $$ at quality parts. And knows the difference between quality and not... Will make a quality great performing truck/buggy.
When I was using woodworking tools to make a money, I learned pretty quickly that cheap tools are the most expensive. Your trucks are tools, so cheaping out on parts just costs money in the long run. (Of course I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.) On the other hand, I do very little wrenching on mechanical stuff, so low-end wrenches like Pittsburgh from Harbor Freight are all I need.
There’s few things more enjoyable than the sound of a supercharger whining away at low speeds! Just knowing that at the slightest burp of the skinny pedal, you have all the hp you need or want! Another great and successful video sir.
OLE' Blue on the JOB. Nice to see it back at work. You guys are the Laurel & Hardy of recovery in Utah. Just fun to watch and listen to. Many thanks and Mike as well. Best show on U Tube by far.
Ive been watching you guys for a long time and I remember old blues first recovery and to see what old blue can do now is testament to Rory’s vision and mike and Shaun’s skills building another amazing truck and now we have mini mater, keep up the great work guys ❤
I agree with the new shirt idea above. But I also think you should do the shadow shot with all three vehicles! Hey Rory what kind of welder is that? Rory: “Nothing special…It has a super charger!”😂
Yes I too found out that you can KEEP fixing for cheap. Or you can fix right and be done with it. It always works out to be less spent in the long run do do right and spend the $$$ the first time around. Awesome "stuff" the Trailmater crew does and shows us. Thanks for Filming.
We didn't get to see all your running of the day we only got to see the last job of the day. 0:24 Rory eats a burrito, shown eats an Italian food. 0:38 It's the Ol' Blue cartoon look. I personally think Trailmater looks better in these shots.
Great to see the beauty of Moab's surrounding area from a comfortable seat in ol' blu. money well spent. Those of us that remember blu's first lug home. 2 years. Thanks as always for sharing. Be well.
DJT increased the national debt by 8 trillion dollars the 1st time he was elected. If You think you're in a "dred" economy, just wait until YOU have to pay his tariff tax on the things you will buy, just wait and see. He will try yet again to destroy OUR Country. 11 Billionaires in his Cabinet, He doesn't care about us, only himself.
I'm subscribed to a lot of fabrication/tow/offroad channels. I might be wrong, but I think 90% of the idea is, yes, you could build/buy something better to do the job. But that's not the point. It's can we (you) take something totally off the wall and are our engineering/building skills enough to make THAT THING a capable off road recover rig. Robbie's ford is an excellent example of this. Plus it often saves that thing from rusting away in a field or a trip to the scrap yard...
Good work, Rory! It makes me happy to see you using eye/face protection! Now if we could teach some of the other off-road videographers to do the same safety measures. This is why you are #1 with me!!
They did not always wear eye protection. People like me bitched to them if they want to see their children grow up with those eyes, they better start using eye and face protection, especially grinding metal.
wow absolutely amazing. just the ride out to the repair is incredible. you da man. as I commented before you guys have way too much fun but hell those people are so lucky to have you guys! The hot tub was insane. And you guys are a blast. thanks for the video. absolutely incredible. you guys definitely have the cool going.
Rory is the master of trail repairs. only the Goat would take ole blue into the hot tub and make it out in one piece. gotta give justin credit for all the editing making all this videos worth watching

Agreed, Justin is an awesome editor
@0:56... Ole Blue looks like an RC truck, lol! I think Big-D would be awesome with a Godzilla engine!
To Rory and Shawn , Thanks for taking us along for the ride and trail repair !!!! You Guys Rock the Off-Road Recovery Videos !!!!
The one and only real off road recovery youtuber left in the game. Mad props!
Old Blue has come a long way from where she started. I'm a Ford guy but major respect for your Chevy's they get the job done. The comment about making a shopping cart into a truck was priceless. The Premier Power Welder came through yet again! Absolutely Fantastic piece of gear. It just works.
Pretty cool taking a dually through Micky's hot tub!
That was the best part of the video
What is really amazing: Trailmater drives these trails, to repair other rigs, like it was a Sunday drive. While everyone else is taking an extreme adventure.
I have seen you recover people from Mickey's Hot Tub to take Ole Blue through it is amazing. Tip of ye ole hat to you sir
LOL! He is just drumming up business by making it look easy so that some retiree (like me) will go "that is easy", and need hauled out!
Just kidding, but yeah, it makes want to try it!
Rory that was bad a** when u went through the hot tub with ol blue thank you for being a extremely awesome channel
I have never seen anything go through Mickeys hot tub that easy...and it's a wrecker...WOW!
Nice tub soak...lol
Beutiful sunset...
That image of the silhouette of Ol' Blue on the rocks at 0:31 would make an awesome shirt design on a black shirt.
Great idea, only a tan shirt. A little black print, vice a lot of tan print would:
- hide dirt better
- be much more 'breathable' (cause less sweating when worn)

It is GOOD to see Ole' Blue back!!!! Can't wait to see Trailmater again too (when it warms up)!
Rory You are an absolute ANIMAL.... Taking old Blue thru Mickeys hot tub. I salute you sir..
Tight squeeze, I think is the right description there!
Awesome no annoying music. Instead
the sweet sound of that blower.
The shot where you crest the hill and you can see way off in the distance, all the rolling land. Great shot! I would have thought the wrecker too wide to do the Hut Tub but it did! Duals for the win!
I still don't understand how this channel has ONLY a quarter of a million subscribers??????????????????

The tow truck shadow on the wall as you go up the entrance never gets old… 😎
Love it every time!
Thank you Rory and Shawn for the adventure and seeing a nice trail repair !

00:31 iconic
I came to say the same. Take that shadow image and make a shirt

Hey! 'Ol Blue's hood healed! No more jagged edges.
Haven't you seen the hood hanging in the shop?
The coolest wrecker in all of Moab
My favorite is the Mater Tot.
@ but it doesn’t have a blower stickin out the hood
Ole blue to the rescue
I enjoyed the extra-curricular driving around that job you did, as well as your thought process history on building your fleet. And the views I will probably never see in person. Thanks.

13:08 Wisdom of a true life-long wheeler!
That shadow shot against the rock wall will never not be iconic. Ol' Blue looking good! 😎🤘

Old Blue is a Beauty
Ol’ blue, i ❤ it
I love hearing ole blue, the whistle of the supercharger 🤘

I forgot what old Blue used to look like. Great job in the hot tub!
Old blue/ green still making it look easy
Never mind the repair. What wonderful scenery.
There’s few things more enjoyable than the sound of a supercharger whining away at low speeds! Just knowing that at the slightest burp of the skinny pedal, you have all the hp you need or want! Another great and successful video sir.
What a beautiful country…… thanks Old Rorry and older Blue…
So is that the biggest rig ever to conquer Mickies? That was baddass!!!
Love the tunes. Old Blue is whistling
Loved the shopping cart comment. I think that should be the next build! 😂
The GOAT does it again. Great job great video

Man, that guy can weld fast!!! Love ole blue, when I first saw you cutting the back end off, then your vision came true. Oh, I see now.
Happy New Year guys, I never tire of the on-site welding videos. Thanks for sharing.👍
Great wheeling as usual
Y'all bring sum semblance of sanity to my day. These tymes we are in are filled more with needless dred from this inflated economy
DJT increased the national debt by 8 trillion dollars the 1st time he was elected. Wow what an incredible landscape 😊
Shadow on the wall was great!
Thank you Shawn for your wonderful laugh it helps the video's,
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO.

Is that Lion's Back? at 14:53
That blower sounds sweet!
Love watching you lot 🇬🇧🤘🏻✊🏻👍🏻
Love the videos.... especially because Justin does a great job in editing to keep only the important stuff (most of the time😂) Thanks for sharing
I think your nutz Yory for taking your rig in the hot tub.
Thanks for making
That Ol Blue sure sounds like an RC vehicle when cruising em trail's 😁
Good work, Rory! It makes me happy to see you using eye/face protection! Now if we could teach some of the other off-road videographers to do the same safety measures. This is why you are #1 with me!!

That was a pretty cool shot. You know the one.
Crazy to see Blue go through Mickeys Hot Tub!!! Well done Rory! You and all of your trucks are just bad ass!!
Thanks guys for sharing looking forward to seeing more of your videos
A hollow tube for a lower control arm. Wow, I can't think of any of my cars that are built that way. They all have solid control arms front and back.
Another great video, you videos are real no fake stuff
❤ Ole Blue looked so good when it was blue and silver 💙
wow absolutely amazing. just the ride out to the repair is incredible. you da man. as I commented before you guys have way too much fun but hell those people are so lucky to have you guys! The hot tub was insane. And you guys are a blast. thanks for the video. absolutely incredible. you guys definitely have the cool going.
Old Blue needs cheese with that wine😂😂❤. Hells revenge scares the hell out of me. Great video ❤
