@@atmoore74 yeah that’s what I’ve done too. Been a few days and no issue. Were the ones you put on later new? I’ve ordered some as a “just in case”. Which even finding them is a task in itself!
@@BeABereanActs1711 I never put new ones on and haven't had any issues. I tried to reuse the old ones but they kept popping off or would be out of place when i checked on them a couple days later so just removed them all together. I too am planning on ordering the hardware kit off ebay but for now I'm not planning on using them because everything is working fine without them and just passed my state inspection yesterday.

Those freakin retaining wires are killing me. They didn't put new ones in my brake pad kit and they pop off every time i go to put the caliper in.
Are they necessary? I’m having the same problem
