Mine won't come off
Stripped the bolt
That’s one way to try and take an eye out 🤷🏻♂️
Worthless video, does the actual removal OFF CAMERA, because it doesn't work like that ! Take this down !
My 2005 mercury mariner cracked on driver side electric connect cracked off
Was looking for this vid thnks
I’ve done it twice without taking the air box out. Was not easy but I finagled the old battery out and the new battery in with some busted knuckles.
I downvoted. Should have shown step by step from the start.. not 70 percent completed job.
Great video with lots of good information.
Why wouldn't you show that brake pad replacement as stated in the title?
I think a 2014 Toyota Venza 4 cyl has; pretty much, the same setup. Doing my alternator tomorrow morning. I'll let you know what's up
Thank you so much needed the info on getting the battery out in the dark and heat and mosquitos...
Nice
Thanks for posting. I’ve done plenty of alternators. Just haven’t done one on this truck. And mine took a 💩 on me yesterday. Don’t look hard. But it’s always nice to see what you’re getting into.
Those freakin retaining wires are killing me. They didn't put new ones in my brake pad kit and they pop off every time i go to put the caliper in.
Are they necessary? I’m having the same problem
@@BeABereanActs1711 i took them off because even the ones i put on later fell out of place. Havent had any problems without them.
@@atmoore74 yeah that’s what I’ve done too. Been a few days and no issue. Were the ones you put on later new? I’ve ordered some as a “just in case”. Which even finding them is a task in itself!
@@BeABereanActs1711 I never put new ones on and haven't had any issues. I tried to reuse the old ones but they kept popping off or would be out of place when i checked on them a couple days later so just removed them all together. I too am planning on ordering the hardware kit off ebay but for now I'm not planning on using them because everything is working fine without them and just passed my state inspection yesterday.
2018 through 2022 Equinox's don't have v6 engines.
What cruze do you have? Because my plug is under the car and its a pain to get to. I have a 2012 1.8 petrol
At idle these cars heat up 10 degrees per minute but if your driving on the hwy they can heat up 30 degrees a minute with a stuck thermostat so normally driving at 200 degrees that is the line just before the halfway mark that only gives you two minutes of driving before hitting 260 at that temp this engine will have a blown head gasket because the aluminum head will be warped. I recently fixed a VW Jetta the guy hit a racoon in the middle of nowhere drove for about 45 minutes with no coolant on his 1.4 Turbo and after fixing the car the engine had NO damage, the turbo boost was so smooth with no lag nothing like the Chevy junk.
The case 530 was not made till 1960 so yours can’t be 1957. Perhaps 1967?
Thanks bud. Between you and my buddy Adrian I managed to change my brakes for the first time ever! Feels good.
Bro, buy a torque multiplier it's a little hand operated impact tool that will get those lugs off quick ...I paid 50 bucks for Mine off Amazon.
Abangku.. Mohon ci bantu, saya ada engine 3116 di unit Grader dan unit tersebut tidak mau di marikan. Mohon solusinya🙏
So my lid is leaking air and I can’t seem to find the part number for it and I need a new cover
Well done! 👍
Máquina boa
Missing the retaining clip on the reservoir tank so you're lucky the reservoir isn't cracked from it bumping around .
The inflatable part of the cover is a good idea but designed poorly and prone to leakage. The one that came with mine wouldn't stay inflated for 48 hours, but there are aftermarket replacements that are considerably better, staying inflated much much longer. They do still appear to leak but significantly slower to where I only have to refill maybe ~once a month so far whereas the one that came with the SaluSpa wouldn't even stay inflated for 2 days.
I’ve changed the water pump thermostat head gaskets and still over heats but when I turn the heater on blast it cools down while driving when I’m parked and idle never over heats only when I’m driving and tips
Did somebody put in stop leak? could have restricted air through radiator, is fan motor working? It is a 3 speed fan and sometimes the fan resistor go out that is not visible but part of the fan plug.
That platic bleeding screw will fall apart if you never loosen it in years. You better replace it with metal one (compatible with bmw screws)
Working on cars, you have to be creative with tools 😂 because that one airfilters is in a stupid location. P.s good work with the grease, too many people use too little
WOW! thanks Ford the first thing in Heater core and build the unit on top!!!! It is like this cross the industry!
A great video...cruze owner who needs your help until he can afford better
Make sure u check steering box oil, no flash electronics BUT will keep on going and going
Any tips on if you round off one of the bolts?
It looks like the tree was already blown down by the wind. I have something much better here: 2NizBAWVbVE
What was the top speed.
A bad PVC valve could be the cause of pressure build up, blowing out oil. Might as well do it too, since you have it half way apart ! But it's no fun, but you have to do it !
That happened to me last night. It took me 4 hours to get to my house. Stupid Chevy car waste of money
You have another problem your check engine light is on, probably coolant temperature sensor bad
Mine is leaking at the scene that goes around the reservoir. Could that cause the car to overheat?
No but u should get it fixed b4 it pops or leaks worse
Damn looks like ya broke a few that day RIP 🙏 🪦 😌 😂😊
That’s probably the limit on the hummer
Where can I find the fuel solenoid?
2020 chevy trax same bulshit problems. CHEVY/GM engineers are the shittiest engineers around,no wonder they're on the verge of bankrupsy
I needed this video. I have Milwaukee’s biggest cordless impact and my NPR nuts laughed at it. IR makes a really nice pneumatic 1” impact with an extended shaft for the rear wheels. Big torque and $$$.
Omg, this video saved me SO much time, thank you!!! I was frustrated in 5 minutes after reading through the worthless instructions. You saved the day!! One question, did you ever find out if you can use Epsom salts and if so, what did you use to keep bacteria from growing? I want to limit the chemical use in mine if possible. Thanks again!! ❤
I used my 48" 3/4" drive breaker bar with a 1 5/8" socket for the lug nuts. No torch required. Position the breaker bar so if is around parallel to the ground. Use your body weight to break the lug nut lose. Note. Drivers side has L.H. threads. These are removed as if you were tightening normal lug nuts. They turn clock wise to loosen. Passenger side loosens counter clock wise.Done.
They stole my money to
My girlfriend has a 2011 Cruz. She bought it for $6k (with 100k miles) because she needed a beater to drive back and forth to work, which is usually at least an hours drive. It started having over heating issues within a few months, which turned out to be a water pump, and BTW you are not changing a water pump in the is car on the side of the road, no way no how............. But she had the water pump replaced to the tune of like $2k, and within a few days coolant leaks sprang up. I replaced some of the hoses, on the side of the road, only to find the rear coolant housing, which is plastic, had cracked where the hose attaches. I was able to rig it good enough to get home, and replaced it with an aftermarket part that was aluminum. There were also oil and water leaks on hoses and tubes that connect to the turbo. After replacing all those hoses, there was still a problem and I wound up buying an aftermarket turbo and having that installed. The car ran ok for a few months, but now there's this boiling coolant in the reservoir but the temp is normal. I performed a combustion test last summer to check for a heat gasket issue, but it was negative, but I'm going to do another one this morning, but first I'm going to do the air bleeding that you did here, that's if her car has the bleeding screw this car has. If todays combustion test is negative again, then I'm going replace the coolant reservoir as I saw a video where that was the problem............
Check where the bigger hose goes into the reservoir tank if you tap the gas pedal and see bubbles going into the tank you have at least a blown head gasket. If it starts a little hard but starts that's water on the piston splashing up on the spark plug, You can try leaving the tank cap loose and keeping an eye on the level to get by for a while. Leaving the cap loose will help keep the pressure down so it doesn't leak in the cylinder.
Why the check engine still on? I think there is a problem.
Good thing I watched the video. I have been mechanic for 50 years and it was more work than battery changes of years past. Got the job done. Would have in trouble without the video. Many thanks.
