This was absolutely amazing. You were spot on with everything. I used all of your advice and followed along with your video and I was able to do this by myself. I cannot thank you enough!
Great video thanks! I might disagree with using Red N Tacky for brake applications. Not sure if it's rated for high enough temperatures for brakes.
Your vidio's are awesome, I have a 2017 ford edge and I changed the front brakes but I cannot keep the spring clip on. I did see that I was missing the one on the driver side. How can I keep it on. Thay are new clips
Are they the same clips or new ones? They are so tight I’m surprised they aren’t staying on unless they are not correct, worn out, or installed wrong
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Thank you for getting back with me. I figured it out, after putting them in place I took a screwdriver and pressed on the clip at the two round areas and this locked the clips in place.
Thank for this great video. I have to change out pads and rotors on my mom's Edge.
BIG THANKS for the comprehensive video~!
I just did mine with your video🎉🎉
This only works for stock brakes correct? I have rotora brakes and last time I took it in to the shop they charged me 1100$.
Yes, this would be for the stock brakes you see in the video
Are there no worries about the ABS system being affected by just pushing the caliper pistons back in?
It shouldn’t be a problem with the master cylinder cap removed as shown. I would also watch this for the rear brakes where service mode is required, but only for the electric parking brake

There are one way valves in the brake system that can be damaged if you don’t use the bleeder on the caliper. There is a reason there is a bleeder valve…
By you opening the brake resovoir aren’t you putting air back into the lines and need bleeding?
No, no air will get in the system unless the level gets too low to where you start sucking air past the cylinder
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage ok perfect. Thank you 😊
What kind of drill did you use?
DeWalt 899. It has to be a bit stubby to fit
Well done
great vid ty
Your filming was great, very clear and your commentary was right to the point. You had exact sizes of all tools and torque settings. One stop shop for the front breaks.
Do you plan on making a vid on the rear breaks? Or the maintenance mode at least?
11mm odd.
NEVER USE LOCK TIGHT, someone has to unloosen that after you
Don’t use RED lock tite. In this video I used BLUE and you can already see it was there from the factory on the caliper mounting bolts. If you don’t the bolts vibrate loose
