Hey, you should write down the name of everything you used in this setup in the description of the video. Makes easier for us to try to build a setup like this.
Switching to the IPad when your phone was already and IPhone makes sense. I'm an android user but when you're doing a mobile set up it makes sense to stick with one ecosystem.
I completely agree with you. I basically have the same setup as her, but with all Samsung products. The integration is buttery smooth between all the devices and I can push my mouse over to my phone without lifting a finger from my work.
I am doing the same thing. I am older person and switching to remote work from home. I am getting rid of my Windows laptop and Chromebook. I am switching to a iPad as my work computer, Google Pixel Fold for my emails and chats. Then I use my iPhone for my calls and pictures. Getting down to a minimalist work life.
Another Vote for this specific keyboard. I have purchased probably the top 18 foldable/pocket keyboards off Amazon and this one blows all of them put of the water. I liked this model so much even after purchasing the other 18 keyboards that I ultimately ended up with three of this model. Just kicking about in different bags.
@@OrvinReyes I have never had that problem with this one. I use this keyboard on my phone and a raspberry pi 4 (kodi box) every single day and I would say within 3 to 5 seconds max of opening it, it's connected via BT. I also have personally never had it disconnect on my while using it.
This setup gives me cyberdeck vibes and I love it. I've been looking to do something similar for such a long time, but always fight myself about whether to use my phone or a tablet as the main engine for the setup and I really like how you've managed to incorporate both. Some great ideas and a super fun video. Thanks for sharing. Dope vest, btw.
Just love this minimalist setup. I’ve been using that same keyboard for a while and love it. At first just used it with an iPhone Max, but that is just too small and no usable landscape mode kills it. The iPad mini is such a great form factor. Just added the mini 7 to the setup and loving it. All fits in a small sling bag!
I set up a tiny productivity travel kit but mines centers around a GPD Win 4 running windows 11, a Samsung S tab 8+ that can be used as a remote display or on its own, a elecom bluetooth mouse, a iClever BK05 model, i also backed a 1tb flash drive that has both a usb A and USB C ends, i currently have an Omnicharge 20+ as a battery bank but im thinking about upgrading to something larger. The last think im looking for is a backpack sling bag and i think ive found it but havent purchsed it yet. For camera i just have a sony rx-100 M6
I love using tablets as well for work on the go! I have both 8" and 11" ones, so I change between them according to my situation :) A small 8" tablet is super convenient though for basically anywhere if you dont mind the screen size.
I am doing similar things with just iPad, Pixel Fold, and iPhone only. I do not need a full Chromebook anymore work work or a Windows laptop either. I thought about just using Samsung Dex and my iPhone but I am not in the Samsung ecosystem anyway.
Honestly this is rhe vision "Fold n' Slide" expandable phones will realize for the masses in a couple years. The 7" > 8.5" > 10" display tech has already been shown off at CES for the past 2 years and it's only a matter of time before more compact hinges and thinner solid-state/3D Li-Ion batteries makes this possible!
I have a similar setup but never thought to properly prop the phone next to the iPad mini as a workflow extension. Shame on me, it seems. Stylistically, I think you would enjoy the form and function of the Chrome industries Kadet sling bag. It is not water proof, just very water resistant but would give you more room for other items while still being slim and easily maneuverable in an urban environment. Love mine! I keep a 8 liter backpacking dry bag inside it for those moments where I think I will be exposed to heavy rain for longer than a few minutes, I just throw all the tech into that. Might be too much of a hassle in a tropical environment but I find it works for me when I live.
I'm still using my Galaxy Tab S7, since it already has a keyboard, pen and case all in one. What it comes along is just my phone earbuds and mouse. My dongle doesn't need cables since it attaches directly on the side of the tablet. If I really need an extra screen my portable 14 inch touchscreen external monitor just tucked in my bag, solves most problems. With that much space I can still lug around my compact powerbank with fast charge. If I really need my desktop apps, I just link up to my desktop at home, wherever I am.
Alternate setup, switch out the ipad mini with a zfold 6, you dont need the phone, but if you want then a huge s24ultra screen is the perfect compliment. I use my s24ultra as a second screen which you can use same mouse on both screens like multi monitor pc. Thats what i use, not an apple hater, i carry a 15 pro max in my left pocket. I just like the versatility and customization of samsung better. Plus the set up comes with 2 s pens
I have A sickness that unfortunately destroyed my family… it causes me to be stuck in a hospital every month for weeks. I really need to break all my tools of graphic Designing down to the smallest I can. So thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
That's a cool setup. I have that same folding keyboard. It was my fav to pair with my Samsung Tab A7 lite. Later I found another folding option called the ProtoArc XK01. It's even better because folded up it is almost the exact same footprint as the A7. Having the tablet and keyboard size match makes carrying them together feel really good in the hand. That said I prefer a numpad to a trackpad, and I also bring a slim Bluetooth mouse.
I like a lot this concept of all the small or "mini" tech gadgets, those devices are very portable, thats why I buy iPhone, iPad, and the Home Pod mini, my next goal is the Mac mini haha, a mini ecosystem xd
I dig the ultra-light ultra portable setups like this. Thanks for sharing yours. I had the BK08 as well but I find the touch pad too small and works poorly with IOS. I replaced it with the BK03 which is great you gain a bit of realestate which allows the layout to mimic a more traditional keyboard layout. For curser control I added a Logitech Pebble to the kit. It is still very compact and light but the Pebble mouse is luxurious compared to the trackpad on the BK08 and I like the better keyboard layout.
@@luvinfunvan i agree on the BK08, I'm not a huge fan of the trackpad because my pinky always accidentally touches it. I think the BK03 and pebble mouse is a great combo. I already have the pebble so I guess the next step is to get a portable keeb!
Love the setup. It's one I've cobbled together to get mobile before! Really interested in the utility vest though - It absolutely sent me down a rabbit hole
