We are really grateful for what you do every day but we don't know how to express our gratitude without taking a little bit of your precious time.
You wouldn't have time to trade if you had to read all the messages of gratitude we'd like to send you every day.
We really appreciate what you are doing Tom, and thank you for this Priceless Video that you have created quickly.

Brilliant!! Far far far superior to the other guys who say after-the-fact, "Here's where I would've bought...here's where I would've sold....Look at that, I made a million dollars!!"
Thanks for keeping it real and showing that it's not a game of perfect, it's a game of risk management, consistency, analysis, and rapid execution.

Thank you for the latest scalping video, going down to the 1 min chart really made many of the things you do so clear as sometimes while watching the 5-10 min plays you can't exactly figure out why you do what you do and how you think at that moment. That really was an amazing one, definitely started seeing things I didn't notice before.

One thing I appreciate about this video, Im always beating myself up for exiting to early, not knowing if I’m right in how Im trading. It’s reassuring to see a professional trader having the same questions and trepidations when watching each candle form.
I remember an interview with a trader, he said
    “A profit is a profit”
In other words get rid of your ego if you want to survive in this business.
Ive recently increased my trade size so I can avoid suffering through a pullback in order to make an acceptable profit. The only problem with that, the reason why Ive subscribed to your channel, is dealing with the mind altering stress of putting on a large size trade in an uncertain environment. I’ve copied and pasted the rock climbing pics in my trading notes. Those pics are right on the money.

Tom - I love the fact you dissect your psychology for us. The moment you got back in, and doubt rear-ed its ugly head at 14:45...What a relatable moment. I love it! So often, I get out early and watch price rocket to the moon...me, with my mouth hanging open. Then, there are those times, I remember that "left-behind" feeling and say 'damn-it' and buy @ MKT. only to watch price turn against me...oh dear. Then I look back, post-mortem and see the resistance...Im learning one day at a time, one post-mortem at a time. Between you and Al Brooks - I find myself doing less "stupid things.." Thx for the video!

Trading along with you quite often I delay the closure for different reasons: being a beginner, telegram delay.... Oh, still going down, oh still going up!
Also because my margin is low I trade somehow with you SP500 instead of Nasdaq.
I guess it is the beginner's luck or I am not so alert like you.

Love this style as I went on the journey with you today (did not take all the Nasdaq trades) and the video showed how to piece the puzzle together as it can get overwhelming on the current high volatility but you taught how to take every detail into consideration and adapting to every candle which the market is giving you. @@LennieClausen_dk And it becomes more difficult as you increase your bank size, moving from a 5 figure account size to low 6 figure is quite different than moving from low 5 to mid 5 figures. Tom amazes me with his total understanding of probabilistic analysis of win to loss variance.

    • @longwoodcurrencytrading
      @longwoodcurrencytrading 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@LennieClausen_dk Actually, Lennie, that's not quite so hard as it may seem. What I tell folks is to HAVE the 5 figures in your account but continue to trade for awhile with 4 figures. Seems strange, but your emotions don't get clogged up so much then when you actually are say in a running winner and you then back the truck up and load in with some of that 5 figure stuff. That's what breaks the ice. I did the same thing when I went from 5 to 6 figures, except for the first couple of weeks, I dropped back to trading 6 minis ($6,000 account size). I hit a good run and upped to 5 and then eventually to 6 figures. And one of the things I harp about in my own videos on my channel is not to trade for dollars, but trade for pips; take the dollar angst right out of your trading at any level. Good trading to you!

Hi Tom, absolutely love your videos and the talk you did about overcoming fear. However I have one question, when you say fear is holding traders back, surely when you say “if you are not feeling uncomfortable in a trade, you are not going big enough”. Would this not bring fear into place if feeling uncomfortable during a trade? Like feeling uncomfortable would ultimately lead me to exit early and be fearful, thanks again

It depends on you. If you feel you might only win 1 of 100 trades 1% might be to much. If you think you win 1 of of 50 trades 2% is in the high end. Ergo Tom don't think he will lose than many trades in a row.

@@LennieClausen_dk Hi Lennie, do you think Tom would be okay with a few of us making a telegram where we can discuss the day's trading? I assume the fact that one doesn't already exist means that he's probably not too keen on the idea right?

@@pz3783 I would love to be part of a group where people would talk only about the trading strategies we learn from Tom and the mindset needed for successful and consistent trading without stressing or annoying him with loads of messages. Please guys if you are ever considering organising something like that, I would love to be part of it.
      Thank you

what happened at the beginning shows that even a seasoned trader like Tom can be thrown around like a ball in the flipper machine.
happens to a trader in the first months and to a trader after 20 years. it's at the end of the day really rolling the dice and what we think we "see" can be highly deceptive during the opening minutes.
i know it's super hard but i just try to stay out of any trade during the first 30minutes after the opening. most of my losses come from that timeframe while most of my wins come after.

Good job. Knowing when to trade and when to say out will save you a ton of money.
Personally I stay out or trade small early Monday and late Friday.

Nice one! To be honest, my mind would have longer latency to take a next trade. But not to trade is an advantage a retail trader can have over those working in an institution.

One thing this video shows clearly, is how even slightly less skilled/experienced trader would most probably execute these trades with bad results.

There is a reason why 70-80% of retail traders lose money. Tom just shows how he is trading.
