This laptop keyboard troubleshooting guide works on Windows 10, windows 11, windows 7, windows 8, OS and desktops, laptops, tables and computers manufactured by the following brands: , Dell, HP, Alienware, MSI, Toshiba, Acer, Lenovo, razer, huawei among others.

I had my online exam (thanks to COVID) and the stupid keyboard stopped functioning. Watched this video and the second method helped. Informative video with easiest explaination. Better than other videos because he used the latest windows rather than older ones (therefore less confusion). Thanks buddy because of you I was able to give the online exam!❤️
I was very pessimistic about getting a solution but the second one worked for me also. Weird how a keyboard can start to have problems when the computer is updated at least once a week. Thanks to the author of the video.

I struggle so much to repair my F1 and F2 which doesn't work, because the driver was some how updated to an Apple keyboard by using Driver Easy Professional. You movie make me understand whats wrong and i manage to change it from apple to regular USB and now it works. Thanks!!

hi, i got 2 options under the keyboard, which should i do?

2. Standard PS/2 Keyboard
ok for those whose backspce or enter key broken ,and u try all abv method,u can spam click those button who broken for 10 time or abv is work for me
How to spam hit you mean? Simply enter for 10 times and above?

@@TechFixIT Um idk if you will look at this but for my keyboard sometimes when I press the keys it will not respond unless I rapidly click on it and it would just go back to not working and then just randomly work again and go back to not working so can you please help me

I thought some of my keys were broken. While playing League whenever i click my left arrows once it start going on itself - then i did the method of updating my keyboard on device manager then restarted it and all fixed! u deserve a subs bro.

@@VideoBee_YT it’s likely not ur fault, if you have a shitty computer then it can overheat and cause this kind of stuff. I have a Lenovo idea pad 15 and it has a 3.9 reveiw. I’ve owned it for 2-3 years and this started happening. also you can use the pop up keyboard until you get it fixed or just get a cheapass mouse and keyboard-

the 2nd one worked. WSX keys were not working on my laptop. just enable and again disable the use filter key in the keyboard section of the ease of access in setting.

The “5” key is not working on my laptop, it sometimes doesnt detect the click, sometimes detects, sometimes detects it twice and the thing is i use that key a lot.

Guys try this one first so go to device manager then expand keyboard the uninstall all of them then restart a couple time and it should work also when i held right ctrl there would be a key in a colour and all the other ones wouldbt be on and i clicked ctrl and the key and restart and used the method above and it worked

I tried all it didnt worked. I was thinking that it is hardware problem, but using the onscreen keyboard, the light for the caps lock (which was not working) it started to light on, so the onscreen keyboard works. But i still can not turn on many of the keys. Only solution so far is if i use the onscreen keyboard.
It was the last step for me. Very helpfull!

I couldn't use my w,e,l keys. I shut down my computer, plugged out the cable of the keyboard from the pc, then plugged it back in, booted up my pc and that worked for me

Letter Z can't be pressed sometimes "W and S" is having a delay. And sometimes the esc button. Last year it was "enter and F6" button. Now enter and F6 is fix without me doing anything.

EDIT: Never mind, so there's another option to this. Might want to refresh this video. So I used a pair of tweezers to slightly lift the rubber fixture underneath the keys. That helped me for what its worth.
Although I just decided to get a new one anyway lol
did you have go take off a keycap go move the fixture?
@@suplexed It's better to remove the cap yes, but if you're able to see the rubber beneath the fixture then no, not needed.

BTW in the device manager below keyboard I had 2 drivers.
Connected a wireless HP keyboard to another PC and the C D E & 3 keys wouldn't work. The second one worked for me, don't know why but I'm happy. Thank you.
