@@CarlosAlberto-gf3dy Bought this laptop I'm typing on in October, already facing black screens when I wake it from sleep, some keys like F2 pop out at random moments but the switches stay fine, and the trackpad glitches with sweaty palms
Thank you so much! You really helped me, my "e" key has been producing double letters for some time now and I did not want to pay an extortionate amount of money to fix it. I followed your steps but found that my plastic bracket was not aligned properly. I removed the plastic bracket very gently using a flat head small 1.2mm screwdriver and then I cleaned the key and reattached the plastic bracket and put the key back into place. It is working perfectly, just as good as new.
I just tried this, and it worked perfectly !! It took about 5 minutes, it works fine and i didn't have to pay a lot of money for repairs, so I'm happy. Thanks a lot !!
My "Lenovo ideapad 310-15IKB" was having the same problem with the space bar after spilling some soda on it, but after pulling out the entire space key, cleaning it, it was back to normal. SO VERY STRANGE because i saw almost no dust, and thought i was cleaning nothing, but after putting the key back, turns out I cleaned dust I couldn't even see.. so this video really gave me that confidence! Thanks! Also it may have something to do with the re-clipping of the key back properly so just pulling it out and putting it back in might have a plus point as well.
Thank you so much! Your video is 5 years old and it still really help us figure out what was the problem with the W key. It would double or just not work at all. Turns out, it needed a good cleaning!
Thank you for the video. Btw, if you took out your space key and it doesn't go back, then probably you have to rotate it 180 degree. It's not symmetric under as it looks over.
Very good! Additionally I recommend, put some thin adhesive tape (TESA) around the screwdriver, to avoid scratches. You can also use two knives, but put tape around it.
Thank you so so much , i was about to send my laptop to the repairing coz my s, a ,w , z d Letters was not working, I've just found your vdo , and it's help me , i just take off A letter from keyboard and Clean it as per your instructions and then it's starts work like all the keys starts working, thanks again 😢❤️
Good video. If possible avoid using a metal screwdriver and try to use plastic picks or spudgers to remove the keys. That way you are less prone to damaging the laptop or the keycaps.

If you have the chiclet style Lenovo keys as in the vid, maybe try it yourself, but the plastic bracket can be tricky. My Thinkpad has the older style keys. Years ago, when trying to clean under one, I snapped off the keycap and the bracket broke. I took it to a local computer repair guy to be repaired and serviced. Didn't cost much. Personally, I'd recommend taking it to some small local computer place if you have one. All the big computer shops will try to get you to replace the entire keyboard.

Thanks for showing this technique. Isn't it mostly because these keys are full of dust and garbage that stop working? Next, is it possible to also remove the touchpad keys too? I'm on T530.
I've been using a small nail file to go under the keys and gently but quite brutishly move thongs around underneath my A button and that worked for a time. Then today it was acting up again and i did the same and it got worse xD decided to look up what to do and that lead me here. Turns out there was a nail clipping underneath there oh god. i have a question. I also have a lenovo laptop, and removed some keys, but the white part came off, and after i fixed it, i put it back, and heard the little click, meaning that the white part is attached, but when i put the key back, it doesn't stay on, even though i heard the click. Any solution to this? Great video btw
Hi, thank you for the video. My key came off with the retainer clip assembly already attached to the key all in one piece. Do you know if I can insert it back in place, or do I have to take off the clips from the key first and have them on the keyboard first like in the video? I don’t want to risk breaking the little plastic tabs if I don’t have to remove first. Thank you.
If the things are complicated, then there is a simple solution. Do it at your own risk (but this can save you money, just in case if you dont want to give it to the service station). So the solution is - take the whole keys and all attachments out of its place. If you see the white part and its pressing fine then just put a little dot of feviquik on your key and stick it directly on white part. It will function normally... Thank you for your comment. i dont think its an issue of keys in keyboard. it may be an issue of circuit board of the keyboard. you may take it to the service station. they can check and fix - this is advisable, rather opening it yourself if you dont know much about it.. I have a similar keyboard, actually the keys look the exact same, if you could help me figure out, does anything need to be completely removed to replace the key? I really need some help
You may fix them but attaching them to the holders of the black keys but if you still cant manage to do so, you may simply avoid and put a fevikwik on the other part thats on the laptop and put a key on it. This will fix a key and it will still work! Try at your own risk.
I've done just like what you say, but when I press the keyboard without the top cover, it doesn't show at the screen..is it normal??and it's so many key that doesn't work like a, b, e, f i, l,o,q,r,t,u,5and 6..hope you can help me
Pressing the key without top cover should also type. if its not typing then there must be a problem inside circuit (not a key issue). you better show to the service station.
Sir my Lenovo laptops key is autopressing ' q' key. what should i do? Should i replace whole keyboard? And how much does it cost to replace laptop keyboard. Please help.

my keys still work but the back space and the enter key arent doing so well, i accidentally spilt some liquid on them and i was wonderinf if i can still use this method to fix them
if the keys are still very intact then dont remove. you only need to dry the material that you have spilled into your keyboard. either use hair dryer or put it in sunlight for some time and check if its working.
You may use either a small needle or a safety pin to push it down if there is no space.. Thank you for your comment. Please SHARE & SUBSCRIBE to our channel. Dont forget to hit the BELL icon :)

Thanks for the video. But....really don't need backing music at all, it's distracting. Plus PLEASE shorten these videos a LOT. 9m30secs for a keyboard cleaning video?
Noted! and thanks
In my laptop, the second letter row is not working. Do you think it is a keyboard problem?
i dont think its an issue of keys in keyboard. it may be an issue of circuit board of the keyboard. you may take it to the service station. they can check and fix - this is advisable, rather opening it yourself if you dont know much about it.. I just hit the Like #1000 haha :D Thanks; it really helped me.
Legend!
I have a similar keyboard, actually the keys look the exact same, if you could help me figure out, does anything need to be completely removed to replace the key? I really need some help
you can watch the video again and try to fix it if you can at your own risk else you can show it to the service station guys
But the cleaning of the outside doesn't make the key work as the problem would be the contact.
you may remove at your own risk and clean from inside too (as shown in the video)
need help on repairing the white spring.
Thanks. My back arrow key works again.
Great!
Thank you very much! I really needed help :)

Hi, I removed a key, and it doesn't work anymore, how can I fix it
You may use quickfix glue (at your own risk) to make it stick back to its place to check whether it works again!
Great, you saved my time and money 🙁
Glad I could help and please do subscribe to our channel (dont forget)
What's bothering me is that this step is actually working, but then the key keeps coming out easily, is there any way to avoid this?
There is a way but do it at your own risk! You may use a quickfix glue to make it stick parmanently. Please share and subscribe!

Sir my Lenovo laptops key is autopressing ' q' key. what should i do?
Should i replace whole keyboard?
And how much does it cost to replace laptop keyboard.
Please help.
try to pull Q key and open a notepad and see if its still auto pressing. if not, you can remove that particular key and fix it again as shown in video.
my Keys started not working randomly idk if its bc i beat on my keys smh my fault, I really need help fixing them its a Lenovo yoga laptop and idk what the issue is how do I fix this...i got this laptop a few months ago..

Idk about it now after 2 months but the rubber cup is probably not contacting the circuit...
thanku so much ........ i immidiately subscribed to ur channel
Thanks and welcome
my keys still work but the back space and the enter key arent doing so well, i accidentally spilt some liquid on them and i was wonderinf if i can still use this method to fix them
if the keys are still very intact then dont remove. you only need to dry the material that you have spilled into your keyboard. either use hair dryer or put it in sunlight for some time and check if its working.
@@newsnview what if it already has seeped in, should i just go along with cleaning it?
The white thing on the top is going upwards and i dont know how to make it go down again
You may use either a small needle or a safety pin to push it down if there is no space.. Thank you for your comment. Please SHARE & SUBSCRIBE to our channel. Dont forget to hit the BELL icon :)

you may need to show to the tech as the internal circuit might have got the issues
