As a Honda owner I'm a bit biased but love seeing Honda evolving. This looks really fun with some really good capabilities. The front trail cam is some nice tech. Cool how it gives you the tire and body marker lines. Will be interested to see everything else along with the price tag.
Not many people talk about the gray interior for the trailsport. Definitely appreciated for those, including me, that don’t like completely black interior

As someone who used to drive the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo / Honda Passport...... knowing that it really was the Isuzu car and Honda just put their badge on it I'm getting huge vibes from that generation.... side profile looks exactly 2002 passport, Boxxy rugged body on frame..... amazing vehicle this totally has The Vibes of that one. Also this whole thing screams oh crap at least let's put out something and Nerf the ability to get any real stats.....

I am really digging this. Even though I really wanted Honda to build a true off-roader exclusive model with an Element revival, this is a great choice of a very capable on-roader with truly strong off-road capability. No, it won't match up to a 4Runner or Wrangler or Bronco, but those are not the best on-road. This seems like a perfect compromise.
As a 4runner and Tacoma owner, I like the direction Honda is taking with this but it needs more ground clearance. I hope the design elements are carried over to the next generation Ridgeline.

@Honda, if you'd put a long arm 4 link solid rear axle in the Trail Sports, you would have a more capable vehicle. I'd also add more lift to the front as well. This is coming from a guy running 33's on a 1st gen Pilot.
Oh wow this whole thing looks boss. Those seats look beautiful! Honda has had really bland interiors recently but this exterior and interior look perfecto. They need to make that exterior wrap an option too, i know im not the only one who would get it with that color wrap
Tbh I have a current generation passport trail sport and I’m not seeing the main changes we wanted. The trail cams are cool and it’s a little bit bigger, the interior looks nice, but I feel like Honda still needs a truly competitive off roader
Nathan from TFL showed the instrument cluster and all the modes. Why is there only two TH-camrs that have videos out testing the 2026 Passport. I know there are more than two TH-camrs there. Did some not read the embargo date?
That's good. Glad to see a manufacturer that is actually making an attempt when making an off-road version of one of their in production vehicles. Looking at you Volkswagen and your "peak edition" that is only cosmetic and zero off-road substance when comparing to the standard Atlas.
Good and improvement over the previous generation, but they gotta do something about that ground clearance. it's a deal breaker. If you're making an off-road version of a vehicle, go all in.
I used to own 2 honda Pilots, one with 294k miles and the other one with 470k both with original engines and transmissions. The reliability is there, I just wish the venerable 3.5 engine would come with timing chain instead of a belt. Maybe some gel and a comb ?
I really liked the non-black interior. The 2024/25 Trailsport is all-black in the interior and that's a very funereal look.....I have a 2024, and that's an aspect I hate about my car.
Pretty cool! I think a 2 inch lift would be sweet! However, aftermarket will help that, plus it will look way beefier. Alright, Honda, come on, bring on the New Ridgeline & make it with a stick 2-inch lift. I'm ready to own a great Honda Truck!
A few things : Low profile, ground credence covered by big tires. Sort of A lot of hanging parts under the neath even the ground cleanse looks poor from outside Question : if it's automatic transmission, do they add cooling / liquid or oil ? And do they add low speed, a real low speed transfer case?
Wondering if trailsport will stick with 2 rows and the other versions will offer a 3rd row. Passport competitors (4runner, santa fe, sorento, tiguan) in their more standard trims so hopefully passport does, as well. I want to see this model survive and continue to offer a trailsport variant
When will Honda release the information that is currently embargoed? The Interior looks like the Pilot Elite interior with Trailsport badges. It looks nearly as long as the Pilot.
10 speed? More gears does bot mean better fuel efficiency. I believe the torque vectoring + transmission and final power output will be the selling point for this SUv. Acura MDX has too many gears, not enough power on the basic engine for a car that is well over 4500 lbs. The Trail-Sport will ne a heav😢SUV, so would be nice to see 295HP and at least 275 torque. But doubt Honda would do that, since it would offset Acura MDX numbers. Acura has differentdrive modes, but realistically they do nothing for the driving experience. Hopefully Honda will get it right.
Too much rear overhang. I wish it was peak boxy like the Element. Mechanics look fairly competent. Land Rover technology becoming mainstream 25 years later is now a thing. It takes a quarter century to make visionary kit reliable kit. Land Rover needs the Prelude nameplate and Honda should adopt Epilogue. Does it make me an adventurer if I have both a Discovery and Passport parked in the garage?
It is looking good. I think there are only 2 potential issues. One - pricing, hopefully it starts under 45K; two - the infamous VCM that has long term reliability concerns.
If Honda doesn't give the Trailsport trim at least 9+ inches of ground clearance, preferable 10 or more inches, than Honda needs to go back to the drawing room.

The pano roof is a nice luxury feature as its not on every 4runner.
After a long time Honda came up with an awesome vehicle.

I like the new front, not so much of the rear tail lights. I prefer the sophisticated look of the rear of the Honda Prologue.

Considering they already have Honda Pilot with basically same powertrain and probably same wheelbase, they will keep it 2 row only.
Looking like the 12.3" from the 23+ Accord.
I really wished the focused on electrifying the Honda Pilot, or a hybrid odyssey.
The regular non-trailsport version with V6, if priced well, will kill crown signia and new Murano.
They should make a pick up version of this suv and call it ridgeline.

Love the looks, the engine, and the AWD system, but man this thing has weak ground clearance and horrendous wheel articulation.

Yes...and 10-speed auto. She didn't allude to that, but yes it's getting the DOHC.

Same 10-speed from the Pilot, so no.

Still use push by wire system but switched replace ZF 9 speed for Honda in-house 10 speed transmission
They are going to sell the hell out of these things.
