VANILLA CAKE INGREDIENTS:
►2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (318 grams)
►1 Tbsp baking powder
►1/2 tsp salt
►1 cup unsalted butter, softened
►1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
►4 large eggs, room temperature
►4 tsp pure vanilla extract

I made this cake a few weeks ago and wow wow wow, was it AMAZING!!!!. Thank you so much Natasha for this great recipe. When you make a simple cake, the taste must be the standout. This cake did not disappoint. I’m gluten free and I’ve always had a problem with gluten free APF having an odd texture when using just baking powder, so I was skeptical about making this cake. I can only say that this will be my go to for vanilla cake from now on. And the buttercream was perfect. It’s hot where I live, 110+ degrees in the summer, so breaking is a problem.....not this time. mariaa gi, if you using American buttercream it was supposed to be very sweet but you can use swiss buttercream which is less sweet

My daughter and I made this tonight! It is soooo delicious!!! we didn't have any buttermilk so we just used milk and used half and half instead of heavy cream because that's what we had on hand. Did you used buttermilk?... I can't find it at my local stores so I made my own by using sourt creame and water as a video indicated.. my cakes are stiff !!! 😫

This is my go to for yellow cake. I love it because it comes out perfectly and only uses 4 eggs and regular AP flour. A lot of others use cake flour, and 6 eggs. Thank you for this gem.👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤

Hello@@sufiamulla you can make a buttermilk by combining milk and vinegar or lemon juice. 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar makes 1 cup of buttermilk. Mix them both and set aside for 5 mins. Hope that helps 😊

I made this for a school project and it was the BEST vanilla cake i had in my life! I also had an idea to add a few drops of food coloring in the batter once it was in the pan, then i swirled it and made a marble cake, it turned out better than i though. Would definetley reccomend!

I just made this cake and omg....it is SO so so so so good! It was also super easy to make. My oven bakes a little slow so I had to bake it for 35 minutes (when a toothpick came out clean).

I made this yesterday. I have been waiting for the heat wave to be over. It's so delicious! I added a little plum jam as well for filling. I will keep this recipe for sure. I wanted to test it out before some upcoming birthdays. Next I will try making the chocolate cake!

Make sure they cool for at least 20 minutes. To fast up the process put them in the freezer for a few minutes
