    I am surprised you two adventurers did not visit the area in Marble, CO where local craftsmen work using hand-held grinders to actually carve large, unearthed marble stones to create beautiful marble sculptures. Years ago, there was a store selling finished sculptures where tourists would be able to actually purchase finished sculptures for their home or office. Maybe I was just lucky to visit the town the weekend when they had this gathering of craftsmen doing their thing... creating cool sculptures and making a lot of dust!

    • @JeanieMarie
      @JeanieMarie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We did see houses selling sculptures from their driveway but didn't see anyone carving them. They looked neat from what we saw.

    It is important to note that much of the Judd Falls is on private land. The rest of the land around Co Rd 317 is used for ecology research, so make sure to stay on the trail.

    Quick update for everyone. The lift is only free if you hike to the summit and ride it down. To take the lift up is a jaw-dropping $34 per person. So perhaps your poor timing actually spared you some sticker shock. 😂 Anyway this video was incredibly helpful in planning my beloved's bday adventure. Thank you so much! 🫶

    When / while can, people and couples should pay the (nice ride if necessary) company $276 for mask for the hike walk to crystal mill as such privilege is worth it even though that’s $1 difference - the ability to hike/walk there is priceless. Besides this will save much resources including dust and roadside debris/cliff fallout from adding more turbidity to the area’s rivers and streams / challenges to wildlife. Very nice video other than not speaking positive of the Marble hiking etc options (this country has spent many more resources on masks due to silly politic’s investment in pandemic making and recent decades of very destructive war making costing many lives and trillions in war and build back costs). Peace and enjoy the walks / hikes and be good on the journeys.

    You rented an ATV and stated that hiking to the Crystal Mill would not be good because then you would be eating dust from ATVs. I lived in Marble for 30 years and had to leave because of the noise, dust, erosion, intimidation from aggressive drivers and destruction of wildflowers from driving and parking on them by ATVs. You are part of the problem.
