You won't regret! The nature of the US is just amazing. We agree with you in terms of big cities. We don't visit many of them in the US because we love to spend more time in the national parks instead
Just got back from a trip the park, your recommendations were spot on. Grinnell Glacier hike was our favorite followed by Highline. Going over the entire top might have been cool too, but that would be a long day

It's an incredibly gorgeous park for sure! Lots of mountain goats all over. And Going to the Sun Road is quite the intense drive with the narrow lanes, hairpin turns, and rocks jutting out on the side...not for the faint of heart.
Fun fact: Glacier national park was actually the opening scene for the shining as we see the camera glide over lake McDonald to the overlook, this also appears near the end of the sequel doctor sleep!

Thanks! We loved Glacier National Park! We were also very lucky with the sunny and warm weather. We spent about 7 days in the park, but fitted in lots of hikes. Maybe 10 days would be good if you want to spread them out a bit and not pack the days with so many activities. Both parks are amazing though! But if you’re visiting Yellowstone, you should also visit the Grand Tetons as it’s so close! 😅 to do all three parks justice you need about 15 days or so! 😁

The trails are well-maintained and easy to follow! Some are easier and flatter (like Hidden Lake Overlook and Avalanche Lake anyone can do) while others require more physical fitness
I grew up here, its my home, I had the chance to appreciate all it has to offer before millions of people came in droves to destroy it. I remember hiking with my father in the early 90s and we wouldn't see anyone all day. Now even in the most remote locations that isn't possible.
Times have definitely changed! I guess it's true for most destinations around the world... population and wealth also have grown significantly over those years so more people travel these days
It what sense has it been “detroyed” it’s a national park it’s being protected. If your issue is that they’re too many people visiting just sounds like you’re selfish and don’t want to share this breathtaking park with others
Best thing you can do for the park is to stay home. The park is overrun by tourists who trash and pollute everywhere they go. I'm local and can't even get into the park and quite frankly don't want to anymore do to the awful crowds.
Don't look very wheelchair accessible and before you all start saying well, they don't want to destroy the Earth, and what not what about all the boardwalks and stuff they built through there.
Is this the most beautiful place in the whole USA? Those emerald lakes surrounded by mountains look like a different world, like you transported to a different planet. Maybe you two already smile habitually, but you smile here as though that is how it feels where you are.

Actually it was closed because of a food-conditioned grizzly bear in the area! It was on our list but unfortunately they didn’t allow anyone due to safety reasons

Switzerland is incredible! I was there as a child and still recall it fondly. The splendor and charm of the Swiss Alps is simply unrivaled! 💜

Yes absolutely! The views are incredible even when driving!

Carry a gun, theres alot of bears and bear spray doesn't always work.

Yes all normal cars are good to drive in the park! The problem is for bigger ones like motorhomes.

For us, it's the most beautiful place we've seen in the US! But we haven't made it to Alaska yet so hard to say whether it's the best!
