How to Make Stickers with Cameo 4 | Silhouette Print and Cut Stickers With Procreate (Tips + Tricks)

- Want to make stickers as fast as possible using your new Silhouette Cameo 4 and Procreate? I was just recently in the same shoes as you. After watching countless video tutorials, I decided to make my own How to Make Stickers with the Cameo 4 video since I learned some important lessons through trial and error.
There weren’t many how-to videos for the Silhouette Cameo 4 to make print and cut stickers, so I ended up watching some for Cricut too. As I learned through making stickers both successfully (and unsuccessfully lol), not all of the same things that work for Cricut work for Silhouette. Which makes sense since they’re completely different machines. Lol!
In this video, I’m sharing exactly what I do to make stickers using my Silhouette Cameo 4. I’ve included my best tips to avoid some of the errors I made when I first started, plus other helpful tips and tricks. Since I couldn’t find any exactly settings for die-cut and kiss-cut stickers, I included those too. Please note: the settings are for the materials I use - your cut settings may vary depending on your machine and material. Lastly, I’ve also included some troubleshooting tips that I found when I was trying to figure out why my sticker machine kept cutting wrong. Hopefully this helps you avoid some errors I ran into and waste less sticker materials and paper.

I wasn't going to do Etsy either (I wanted to do Shopify too), but I was listening to some podcasts about Etsy vs Shopify, and they actually said to do both! They also said (if I recall correctly), that you have to sell about $500 in product to make it worth selling on Shopify. 😱 I can't recall why since the monthly fee is nowhere near $500. But, I'll look for the podcast episode and DM it to you if I can find it again. And then maybe we can chat about it on DM.

How do you apply the laminate to your stickers? At what stage in the process? Thanks!
I apply the laminate after I print and before I cut (basically right around 11:45 of the video - I'd add laminate here). To apply: Before removing the backing, I trim the laminate sheet so it covers the registration marks but doesn't go over the edge of the paper (my laminate sheet is larger than the letter-sized paper, so I manually cut it down - this part doesn't have to be very precise). Next, I lay the sheet where I want it to go (to line up where it will be applied). I put a journal / small book on the laminate to help hold it in place. Then, I apply the top edge only. Next, I remove the journal/book, lift up the laminate sheet, take a squeegee tool and while I slowly remove the rest of the backing (starting near the top that is already applied), I use the squeegee to press onto the top of the laminate sheet as it's being applied to prevent air bubbles. This is sort of hard to explain in words. Lol! But there are some snippets of this on my sticker making shorts if you want to see. :) Fructus Illustrations includes a good visual of this in her tutorial (linked in the description).
