    The Canon Pixma Pro 100!!! I love that printer! Stickers don't do it justice. I print huge photographs on this printer and it's so gorgeous.

      It is a great printer! However, I hate how it burns through ink so quickly and how expensive the ink cartridges are to replace. But otherwise, a great printer!

    Hello,
    Thank you for this clear and concise video. I have the silhouette cameo 4 with the business edition and the cricut maker which had first. I have preferred working with the cricut design studio vs silhouette business studio. My cricut maker is down as I am having to replace those darn rollers so I am forced how to learn how to use Silhouette business studio on a regular basis. I look for tutorials that are clear, concise and not too long. This video is definitely one that I can learn from. I can pause it and work along with you. You definitely have a new subscriber.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, and thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I haven't made a video on calibrating the Cameo yet. Honestly, when I do calibrate my Cameo 3, I just follow the calibration instructions in Studio. It's a bit of work, but not that hard. Not as glamorous as making stickers, but it's definitely worth it to ensure your machine is cutting where it's supposed to. All that being said, maybe I'll have to do a how to calibrate video!! :-)

    • @Jowellee2

      @@ColorChangeCustoms Ohhh thank you for the input, I'll try it on my own then and do my best ! But I'll definitely watch your video if you do it because I personnally get confused about the instructions and seeing someone do it at the same time as me would be incredibly helpful 😁 but don't feel pressured to do it just for me ahah I don't know if other people struggle with that process also 🤷‍♀️

      Thanks for watching! Your project should be totally doable with your cameo 4. My cameo 3 is older, but it can cut some pretty small areas, just based on making vinyl decals with a lot of detail in them. I'm pretty sure the cameo 4 would have no problem.

      Hi there, thanks for watching!
      It's towards the end at around 20:40, but the settings I used in the video were:
      Depth: 3
      Force: 20
      Speed: 5
      It cut all the way through for me, but I'd probably bump the force up a bit more. But...you would have to do a couple of tests to see what works for your machine and media you are cutting. The settings I used are just a starting point that worked for my setup. Happy crafting!

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching! Most of the functions with Studio are in Basic Edition. I did upgrade to Designer Edition which adds a few extras above basic. Getting Studio and the various tiers are a one time purchase, as the program (or upgrades) is downloaded and installed on your computer--no subscription. The Silhouette website outlines what features are added as the tiers increase.
      I would say though, if you are thinking of upgrading to a higher edition, look around for sales or coupon codes to save some $. They're usually readily available, or you could wait until sale events like Black Friday or any holiday really for some sort of sale.

      @ColorChangeCustoms  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, and thanks for watching!
      For your question, yes. There is printable automotive grade vinyl wrap and overlaminate you can make stickers/decals from. The challenge is that printable automotive vinyl and laminate are not typically accessible to everyday users. The wrap shop I work at has huge printers, laminators, and cutters that cost more than peoples houses!! My recommendation is to see if there is a local vinyl wrap or sign shop (or maybe an online one) that you can provide your graphic to, which they can then make the sticker for you (but this can be a pricey option).

    • @shortbushero
      @shortbushero 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ColorChangeCustoms I see, I figured the vinyl quality you’d get access to on sites like redbubble would or could be afforded and bought for these printers.

    Best tutorial ever!! thank you so much for uploading this video and taking time to explain it thoroughly!! I do have a question, if I don't want the sticker to be cut all thoroug The paper, What settings do I need to use Like you did it on the 1st time, where all this stickers stayed on there sticker paper??

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks and thanks for watching! As far as settings to do a "kiss cut", which is cutting the vinyl but not the paper, I used:
      Depth: 1
      Force: 7
      Speed: 5
      However, I came to those settings after basically sacrificing a sheet doing a bunch of cuts to see which settings would do what I wanted. Every machine will be slightly different due to a lot of factors -- blade type, age of machine, using a mat or not, brand of sticker paper or vinyl used, etc. So for your machine, I would recommend doing a bunch of tests at various depths/force/speeds to see what would work best, then save them as a custom pre-set.

      Hi, thanks for watching. I don't have a Cameo 4 so I'm not familiar with the issues. My best advice would be to research across multiple and various forums to see if anyone has figured out what the issues are, ignoring the extreme left and right comments that offer no substance, look for inputs that have meaningful information, and then make a decision. In my experience, most "issues" with any kind of machine, particularly electronic types, can usually be traced back to user error, though I don't discount machines do have issues on their own. That's my experience though. Sorry that's not much help, but it's all I can offer.

      Thank you for the kind words, and thanks for watching! I haven't looked at printers in a while since buying the one I have, but on various craft forums, the Canon IP8720 comes up (amzn.to/3mz30Y1) as a decent, overall printer. Also, Epson printers seem to come up a lot as well among the various forums I've scrolled through.

    Okay so the cameo printed the stickers and cutted them or did you use another printer for printing?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would use a separate printer to print the stickers, then the cameo cuts them

    If I want to apply a sticker to my car. Then how will I go about making that sticker. So that the Heat or rain will not damage it. And also does this mean that I will have to use a specific Material?

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For your car, you'll need an ink that is UV resistant so it doesn't fade out in the sun (regular inkjet does, in my experience). To make it weatherproof, you'd have to laminate it as well.

    Hello, I need some help if you can please. What format did you bring the graphics for this video in? I have studio Basic and am trying to print and cut my own Honey Labels. I designed them in Inkscape and exported them to a nice high quality PNG. But when I bring them in to Silhouette Studio, they get pixelated. Also when I print from Silhouette Studio they are horribly pixelated and you can't even read the text. Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere? Would you have any suggestions for me to try? Thank you!

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pictures I used were .jpg, maybe one was a .png if I recall. However, regardless of format, the key is to use images with high resolutions to start with. I'm not sure why your silhouette is making them pixelated specifically, but if you are creating pictures in a program to bring into silhouette, save them at a high resolution--like 1000 (or more) x 1000 (or more) pixels. Same if you are bringing in images found on the web. I go for images that are minimum "Standard HD" resolution, meaning the image is at minimum 768 x 480 (or vice versa) pixels and higher.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For a kiss cut, I used blade depth: 1, Force 7, and Speed 5 with autoblade. *** However, use that only as a starting point.***
      Bottomline, you'll have to experiment with what works for your machine. You may have to sacrifice part of a sheet to see what works for you as there are other variables to consider, like if you are using a mat, the brand of sticker paper, is the paper matte or gloss, vinyl or actual paper, etc. The settings I found to work on my Cameo may not work for yours depending on calibration, newness of blade, Cameo model (2 vs 3 vs 4), etc.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! I've not had that issue on my end, but something that it might be...as the blade is cutting, some of the adhesive is sticking to the blade. As the blade moves along, it may be leaving some of the glue that stuck to it on various parts of the sticker paper. Maybe try a new blade or sharpening and cleaning your existing blade (google "how to sharpen silhouette cameo blade")

      I'm using an injet printer, a Canon Pixma Pro. You can also use a laserjet printer if that's what you have. But really, any decent home printer will work. The important part is to get the type of sticker paper suited for your printer, inkjet or laserjet.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Without seeing your specific issues in person, the first thing that comes to mind might be ensuring your media size is correct for the size of the media you are using. If you're using an 8"x11" sheet but your media size is still on the default 12" x 12", it will try to print incorrectly. The other thing I can think of is maybe ensure your Silhouette is calibrated. Silhouette Studio has a calibration function and it has instructions on performing the calibration

      My apologies for the very late reply. For my printer settings, I used photo paper glossy and high quality settings. Your printer settings my differ though, so something roughly equivalent. Of course, if you're using a matte paper, I would use the matte photo paper option, but keep high quality (or equivalent) print settings.

    Well this was two years ago so I don't know if you're going to see this but I just came across it and I love the video it was awesome but... You kind of lost me with the blue offset line that you made. I don't understand The purpose of that... You went through all that trouble to fix the offset to be as close as possible to the image so you would not have that extra white in a previous step, so why now would you want to make a second line so that you have to change the color to make it have more white? Why wouldn't you have just done that in that previous step and not have to make a second line? I rewound and watched again to see what I was missing and I just can't understand why you would need to do that.

    • @ColorChangeCustoms
      @ColorChangeCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, and thanks for watching. If I'm understanding your question correctly, basically the offset is to add a "border" of sorts around the now detached image. That way there's a little bit of white around the sticker when you peel it. However, having that border is totally up to the user -- you don't have to do that if you don't want any white around the image. Once you have your image traced and detached, you can just send it to cut the actual edges of the image. It's really however you want the sticker to come out, with a border, or not.

    • @chrinamint
      @chrinamint ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ColorChangeCustoms I know but you had already done that. Then later you added this blue one and then you had two separate things, the red one in the blue one. That extra one that you made I didn't get.

    • @porter4lifedp
      @porter4lifedp ปีที่แล้ว

      When you trace the design a red cut line appears then when you add your offset another red line appears he changed the color to blue so the machine will cut the outline instead of the image. Instead of changing the color you can also click on the image and turn off the cut line. I hope that makes since.

      Sorry to hear that. I use gloss paper all the time and haven't had issue (I've not used glitter paper though). I have seen on some forums that when the Cameo can't read the registration block and marks, to ensure the area your Cameo is in is well lit. Not sure if that would work in your case.
