Ah man. As a guy that did basic GCSE physics. Instantly when he mentioned the leg raise..and moved thr right leg across..I knew what's happening from a physics stand point

    This guy is brilliant.
Do you have any information with regards to 'good morning' squats; where the hips shoot back (raise) first before extending the hips?

Ben Campbell if you haven't watched part one he doesn't directly discuss any technique errors or musculature weakness, but instead discusses the difference in bone structure (i.e long vs short femur) effects the way people can squat (i.e. possibly causes a good morning type squat). Its a good video with great visuals.

I watched a few of this guy's videos, and I have the humorous thought of what it would be like if Ben Stiller was a Personal Trainer...

I just started Olympic lifts and quickly realized that I cannot squat and maintain a load bearing overhead press. My torso wants to fold. I have longer legs and a short torso. I have no waist. There is about a 1/2 in of space between the top of my hip and the bottom of my rib. Is there hope for me?

That sir, is not a single leg squat assessment. You come off as slightly narcissistic. When it was introduced to you, if you were listening and not hearing the instructions the requirements for successful completion, that would have been apparent.
When you are in a standing position on one leg, we look at the internal obliques and ankle complex, NOT the knee. The Adductors are only taken into consideration with an abrupt contraction to stabilize the joint upon initiating the squat. In addition, the single key squat is to be used in conjunction with an overhead squat to identify a clients weakness link.
Honestly, at that point I stopped listening because you were working off a flawed concept ("what is a single leg squat assessment?").

Having the NASM cert I can honestly say their squat assessments are complete bullshit.
