I'm back with this crossover video where I cracked 9 PSA cards and submit them to TAG Grading. Please send over any questions or comments and I'll try to get back ASAP.

That Trout jumping from 5 to 9 is funny. Guarantee if it was not a Trout it would've gotten a higher grade at PSA. Also saw another TH-camr crack a PSA 6 and get back a PSA 10 after resubmitting. PSA is such a joke. - WW
That was VERY frustrating. I'll probably start submitting some higher end cards for re-sale to fund my pc cards. 6-10 is brutal! I tagged PSA in the IG so they can see their mistakes.
I’m asking this question because I’m new to this. Why do you say if it was not a Trout it would’ve gotten a higher grade from PSA?
@aaronstone6980 a lot of folks state they grade cards differently for the POP control. While I can't confirm if that's true it definitely feels that way.
@@JLWStudyRoom oh ok now I understand. And after I read your reply it reminded me of something I read a couple months ago. Someone was saying that it’s very hard to get a Michael Jordan PSA 10 because PSA likes to keep the pop down. And man that’s wrong of PSA. Anyway, thank you for responding!

Definitely my favorite part is knowing why the grade is what it is... 1000 points is a bit much but still useful.
I'll take TAG over PSA any day just for the consistency. PSA is a crap shoot at this point.
Definitely agree!!! TAG is getting my PC cards and PSA will be those I'm going to sell. Hopefully TAG sales catch up soon so I can only submit to them.
Honestly I'm glad you support them, and I hope what they claim is true, what I really would like you to do would be to Crack the TAG card and resubmit them to TAG again and compare the results.... that will tell us if they have real consistency ..... also if you think TAG will catch up to PSA I think that's very hard to believe.... because when you say that I don't really think you understand that 9 out of every slab sold every second is a PSA slab..... it would take years and years to even be half of psa... unless something monumental happened

Agreed, it would be a shock if they catch PSA. I really hope TAG is legit and not missing any key grading areas. I met someone at a show a couple months back and that's his plan to Crack TAG for PSA. I think someone else already did that too, it's very interesting to see and frustrating that the consistency between all are different.
I get my 10 card sub back in tomorrow. Prolly got in the same drop as you. All PC cards most likely. Super stoked! Those slabs look great. So aesthetically pleasing and just goes to show how offf psa can be

Thanks and go for it! I like them a lot and unfortunately dumped a lot of my lower graded cards from PSA out of frustration. Now I'm thinking I should have cracked them.

Hats off to you for making this video and taking this risk! I can not wait until TAG is the new standard.
Psa is so ridiculously flawed and incentived by giving good grades and charging for that cards high price.
Tag is just and unbiased computer.
Thanks and yes, I agree! It's tough when you need to resell some big cards in order to buy others for the PC, you have to use psa for that right now

I cracked some psa5-6 slab and try tag, still waiting for it. PSA had bias on some of paper cards. that is what i am crossing over to tag.
I like the experiment of it... currently I'll trust the AI process over some of the graders at PSA, good luck on the results!
These are awesome slabs. Im about to do the same and reslab some of them. The only thing stopping me is, i hate breaking the slabs. It makes me anxious.
Yes!!! Very dicey situation, I saw one guy online do it in seconds, I tried that method and cracked the very fabric of our universe.

I like how these are in a wrapper. Maybe you could do a video where you scan them and show us why the cards got that grade.
I think I'll do a solo video of this order and maybe include 1 other from the pervious order. It's interesting and a lot to take in
I love the grading method Tag use but I’m not loving the fact they needlessly wrap them
Initially I thought it was fun but if you get a 20 card order it would be time consuming... maybe they can do a slip cover for those that like the surprise or do it for their channels?

Thanks! And I'm not sure... for me I like the cards as is and unaltered so removing the peel feels off to me. Although as they get scratched fairly easy probably better to remove it lol

That would be frustrating... the return on TAG vs PSA isn't there and you know your holding a PSA 9 but they won't grade properly. Maybe they'll buy out TAG too lol

How do the TAG slabs compare to PSA slabs in size ? I’m looking into a display case advertised to hold PSA slabs but I really wanna grade with TAG and fill the display. Thanks !
The TAG slabs are slightly smaller and slightly thicker (1/4 inch vs 5/16 inch). Good luck with the grades!
Tag slab = 65g
PSA = 50g
You can feel the difference in quality

Which TAG grading option did you choose?
This would be their S tier... at the time of think that's all they had. Also, I waited for a drop which is a bit cheaper.
I like the data points, just need to wait for a price drop to grade 8-10 cards.
I get the name reputation but I’d rather have the data not an opinion.

Right out of the gate with the dented Ripken, Tag is overly-generous... My bet would be that TAG is correct not PSA on the Trout, but just a bet... Tag has too much detail that can't really be appreciated by the naked I... I like the idea of a $14 second opinion when PSA boffs it... thanks!
I have been discussing some things with us common folks and they brought up some good things that TAG may not be able to see (I don't know for sure) such as the creasing, scratches, etc. OR they might not be so strict on those things. Either way I'm still in with TAG for my PC and PSA for the resells.
most of those cards aren't even worth grading once....
