I am finally uploading this video from earlier this year of my TAG results.
You can skip to about 7:45 to get right into the reveal. Very nice slabs but a bit too pricey in my opinion especially with the resale value not there. I do recommend giving it a try with maybe 10 cards at first.

Hi JLW, thanks so much for the awesome review! Just to clarify a few things, since it seems like your purchase was possibly made during the beta early adopter program in which prices were higher and turnaround times were longer.
-We are now only offering grading at $14 per card (unless at a convention) which is exclusive to our limited quantity drop pricing.
-TAG also does not upcharge for any card based on value or declared value, it is just a flat fee.
-The turn around time is now 20 days (unless on-site grading at a convention).
-At the end of last month we began accepting cards 1989 to present!
-We have been actively monitoring the resale values in the market and have been so proud to see many sales that are setting records for any grading company. We feel confident in the fact this is due to the fact that people want to know the truth about they are buying (with proof!).
-Apologies for the case at the beginning being difficult to open, but it is because it is weather resistant! (We'd rather it be tough to open and keep your cards safe!)
-We have since changed our foil packs, they are now much easier to open as well :)

Met one of the owners at the national convention @taggrading and he was super nice and I’m stoked for this company to knock PSA’s horrible grades back to earth gray job TAG
I love the TAG concept. Looking at market prices, they aren't too far off of PSA. Which is nice to see. Everyone else is a big step below PSA unless it's a SGC or BGS 10.

I definitely like the concept and the idea. I prefer accurate grading vs grading that meets my expectations. I think this will be the largest obstacle TAG will need to overcome because people spend a ton of time hiding defects or trying to push doctored cards through the system for a higher grade for the financial return. If TAG can overcome this one limiter, then they have a viable product/service to carry them successfully.
100% agree. If they keep growing they have a great foundation just need to add more points the machine is unable to pick up. I would imagine a pristine TAG would crossover as a BGS Black label?? That's another test I may try out.
The process seems a bit excessive, but i think the results are legit. It just boils down to whether or not people wanna pay.🤷♂️🤷♂️
I definitely think it's a bit excessive. If PSA buys them out then they can use the tech to dominate the grading industry, that would be great for us!
But what if Fu..in Fanatics buys psa 1st??? Just like they're buyin everything else up!!! I mean Donruss is kind of a joke this year since panini lost the mlbpa license. 🥶🥶🤔🤷♂️
@@wento5461 oh man that would be crazy! Panini is disappointing not being able to have logos but I do like some of their designs.
Oh i love a lot of their designs. The shine is unmatched. That made up for the logos, but it can't make up for no active players.

That's very cool! So far they seem like a legit company who cares about honest grading, so I'm sold on them. Can't wait to submit to them soon.
I love TAG i would love for them to be up there with the big boys. U would think that theirs would be worth more b/c its more accurately graded.

Would be cool to see the reports for lower grade cards like that 6.5 for the next submission! Overall really enjoying TAG.
I might be able to pull that off but I will say that the reports are so freaking much it would need an hour video per card lol thanks for the idea, I may just make a 1 off video to share
@@JLWStudyRoom oh I know they’re intense haha maybe just some highlights or things you couldn’t pick up but the AI did (blemishes on the surface of chrome cards or scratches on the backs of cards seems most common). I just think it’s a big part of TAG (as well as pop reports/rankings) that will help them grow if people see it.
@@timothywalthall3251 agreed! I'll try to get something together in the next couple weeks. I'm thinking of submitting a couple low grade psa cards to see if TAG can explain the low grades to me

Lol yep. I just sent 10 cards in last week that were PSA breaks so I just burned $150 again.

At that time you had to use the suitcase... I think now they just send you a box, I don't recall 🤔

You don't tell the 3 figure # grade for the prestige 10 that was what I was most interested in. You did on most of the other cards just not the important one ?????????
I think that was a 990 but I distracted myself while filming
TAG should be the future of grading. But people want high grades and TAG finds EVERY LAST THING wrong with your cards so people aren't going to always get those high grades they want for flipping cards. I got in on Drop 9. 20 cards was about $300. I sent in 20 Marvel cards because no one else has done that yet.

@@JLWStudyRoom Dude! Right now they are $25/card with a 20 day return window. Or, if you're patient, you can catch one of their "drops" for $14/card. I swsent in 20 cards and it was about $300 total. Faster, and more reliable than PSA by far.
Since they will be PC cards I'm hopeful for PSA/TAG or CSG goes sub $10... if ever. If not I'll just hold off and keep them boxed. I'm looking at 150 cards at $10 each that I won't sell so I need to make a few big sales before I commit to those prices.

To be fair, this is why grading companies are still backlogged. Quit sending in $10 cards.
I like some of the $10 cards for my PC and can't/won't swing over $100 for a raw card most of the time. But after my next few submissions come back in definitely going to be getting to send in a handful of better cards.
@@JLWStudyRoom Oh for sure, it's nice to get some cheap cards graded for a personal collection. But people sending in 100s of them is what created the problem in the first place. It does suck how much they increase the price based on raw value.

My goal is to keep about 5 cards, sell the rest so they are basically free for the PC.
Are we gatekeeping? Who says you can't send $10 cards? Is there a policy? For all grading companies they don't care, money talks and they'll accept it. So what if its backlogged, just deal with it. Can't tell people what to do, what is this North Korea? lol 🤡
