Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is the number one genetic cause of infant death, and there was no way to treat it a couple of years ago. With the correct strategies, every disease can be treated. But I think the first step to finding any solution, we should understand the problem completely. Here, I tried to show the details behind this disease, and I tried to explain that how scientists chose two different strategies to stop the progression of SMA.
