SAR K2 .45 is a CZ clone, has 14 round mags, and is under $450. I highly recommend them.
CZ refused to update the CZ97 with a rail.
SAR K2 has a rail and a high capacity magazine based on the Para Ordnance P14 with a slightly different follower.
The SAR can be carried Cocked and locked. Or with the hammer down for a double action first shot!
This a hefty all steel pistol for an incredible price.
I had a hard time finding one. But it was worth it. The K12 in 9 mm a CZ75 clone looks great 2.

This list places the Colt 1911 at the bottom of the list, places the Para Ordnance, despite its deserved reputation for unreliability, near the top of the list, and doesn't even include the Glock 21 in the list at all. What a joke.

I have a para double stack LDA from the early 2000's I've never had a reliability issues? Am I lucky? People say the same about Kimber but I have a OG pro carry that I never had an issue with either. I think the Internet makes things up to satisfy its hate of everything.
I got the compact ruger American pro in grey and it's definitely my go to carry. Hasn't had one issue or failure and is as accurate as I can be 😂

CZ P10F is a great shooting pistol. Very accurate. The Ruger American .45 is a great pistol for lefties like me and it also is very accurate.
Aside from my long time pref for 1911, the SIG 220 is well worth a look. In the 70s Browning had SIG make a 220 in a variety of calibers but labeled as Browning BDA. It had the European style mag release. A little bulky but not like a grossly inflated Glock 45. The BDA put the oo in smooth. Should've kept it but already had several 1911's by then.

Para stopped making guns thanks to Remington back in 2015.
Being a fan of a SA/DA external hammer pistol, the Sig P-220 floats my boat. Points naturally, reliable, and you can drop in a guide rod laser system.

Thank you for the breakdown on 45 ACP pistols. I already have a good 1911. I have a large supply a good 45 ACP ammo. I checked out all of the pistols in your review online. I think I’m leaning towards the Ruger American. Even though it’s the cheapest. Seems like a lot of pistol for the money.
Striker fire pistols are for people with very little trigger control. And have no clue what a decent trigger feels like.
Love my FN FNX .45. 15 round capacity, the highest capacity for .45. The single action is decent, especially for a DA/SA system. Picatinny rails mount a Streamlight TLR-1 1,000 lumen light. Perfect companion to my SCAR 17 for SHTF or creepy woods exploring.

When my brother was working for a large chain gunstore, they got to go to the range whenever a company salesman was in town. Long story made very short....of the many many auto pistols he fired ,the FNX was by far the best for lowest felt recoil, quickest back on sight picture, trigger, instinctive pointing as in it fit his hands perfectly.
A great pick if a person is willing to spend the money and you like the looks and feel.

Not sure why you included PARA ORDNANCE in this review - I believe they are no longer being manufactured since the REMINGTON bankruptcy and SARCO purchased the remaining stocK of replacement parts. The pistol you should have included is the BERETTA PX4 STORM which is available as a .45ACP with a 4" barrel and an unloaded weight of only 27.7 ounces. It's also available as a SD Type F tactical model with an extended, threaded barrel. Magazines are either a 9 round flush fit or 10 round extended.
I got the rugar american, and the fnx-45. The fnx is far superior to the american.
The pricing difference is large.
How do they compare in price? See where I am going with this?
I somewhat disagree, I’m all about capacity and would have personally chosen the FNX45 over all of the firearms shown.
The balance between performance and capacity makes it a better option than the rest I think.

Last I checked 1911’s are usually under an inch thick.
There isn't a pistol on this list that I would select over ANY HK 45acp pistol. No way that a Ruger American should be ranked above an HK45 or HK USP 45. No way. (Proper respect needs to be given to COLT 1911s, though.)
SAR K2 14+1 DA/SA.
I carried a Para 1911 for 5 years. That thing was so heavy it broke a belt. I had to buy an extra think gun belt.
Sold it and bought a full size Springfield Ronin in 9 mm.
That weapon has been awesome so far. Have 3 more rounds cap and weighs less. Easy to shoot and accurate AF. Fiber optic front sight and rear sight is perfect for 1 handed charging if need be.
I also used to have the Ruger SR full sized as well. Didn’t care much for it. Decent enough weapon, but snappy and took some real getting used to it for me.
I find the 1911s are just natural pointers.

It was kinda weird to see PARA 1911 as an option for 2024. They stopped production in 2015. I remember that they were here in Charlotte for a while, but not a thing anymore since Remington bought them.
RIA/Armscor 1911 A2 FS 45 ACP is an all steel clone of the Para, I think. Hi cap double stack magazines holds 13 rounds (10 in CA) where legal.
It's quite heavy with thick grips but has good combat accuracy and very reliable. Reasonably priced, too.
If I were to buy a new long slide pistol, what should I get? I have a taurus 24/7 pro LS .40cal. And I love it. But it's obsolete now and is very hard to find. Needs a retirement and replacing.
Lol the colt 1911(first gun) has a great trigger at 4.7 lbs but the CZ p10f doesn’t at 4lbs? I get it’s striker vs 70 series hammer and pull weights aren’t everything I just found that funny.

The FN FNX 45 and the HK 45 TACTICAL both are superior to the ruger. I love ruger and have a few.... I also have both of the mentioned weapons. Two of the Best 45s on the market.
The 45acp that caught my eye was the Ruger American 👊🇺🇸
I had one and it was a solid gun. I ended up getting rid of it because the safety in the trigger would dig into the pad of my finger.
I'm not a Glock fan boy, but the Glock 30 series is a great pistol with ten and 13 round capabilities.
The FN 545 Tactical is way better than many on your list. Putting Ruger at #1 is Ridiculous. 🤣
I'm definitely surprised that the Ruger SR45 was number 1. I have no experience with it, so I can neither confirm nor deny it. Two 1911s by different manufacturers seemed a bit odd. You could have just mentioned he 1911 in general and highlighted a specific builder or two.
M&P 2.0 45acp , Walther PPQ 45 M2 or the Glock21 would get my votes.
I haven't shot a Ruger centerfire pistol that is decent.
Had 2 SR45 over the last 10 years. Great gun. Utterly reliable

Can't believe the Ruger was even in the top five. I have Colts, Kimbers, Sigs, Paras, Glock 21s, 30s, a 36, and a newly acquired FNX Tactical. Multiple sizes in each brand. Each one beats the hell out of the Ruger. I love Ruger wheel guns but have never seen any of their auto loaders that could come close to the brands listed above.

I don’t understand the Kimber hate. I have a Custom LW 1911. Have never had issue with it, it was under a grand with a Vortex Venom from the factory. It has been one of the best firearms I own.

ok your talking about a FULL SIZED and showing a compact, might want to work on editing some more. a common failure I am unfortunately seeing in way too many videos talking about one detail and showing something unrelated in video.
My 1911s. Trigger job. New grip panels. Hogue rubber grips. Cerakote coating.
Colt Gold Cup with Ed Brown bobtail MSH, grips, hex head grip screws, Wilson Combat extended slide stop/release, extended thumb safety, and springs.
Rate these 45's from least best the absolute best? 1-10 ranking
Had a couple Fn's. 1x & a P model. Great guns. Just heavy DA trigger. Had 3 Para's p13 & 1 p12. Just to many magazine issues with them. Didn't see a Glock in there ?
My Para Ltc has been flawless and accurate for the last 15 years. Unfortunately the company doesn't exist anymore. GREAT gun.

This combo of slapped together stock video clips and an off-cue narrative is reminiscent of the early days of TH-cam. We’re fortunate to have so many far better channels to choose from.

I've got the Springfield XDS 45. I purchased it specifically for Conceal and Carry.
If you need more than (1) round out of a 45. Well, you'd be better off carrying a Cannon...
The XDS is very slim, and because the shorter magazine holds (5) rounds, it's much lighter in weight than a full size 45ACP.
The downfall of this firearm is its weight. When it is fired, it has about the same recoil as does the 44 Mag Ruger Redhawk (which I also own).

First. of all like the you gave all the important spec's on the Colt. Especially with since I have a smaller hand. However disappointed you did not do with other .45 cal. . After hours of research and talking to other shooters and Rep's I feel there are others Brands that deserved to be in the top 10. And some of the ones that you Posted are Questionable my Opinion.

The Ruger P345 was the better .45 of the P series pistols. First gun I ever owned. You can still find them sparingly on GB.

I don’t need a new one I got a smith&wesson model 4506-1 it will feed anything I put in it as long as it’s not week rounds it won’t cycle the overbuilt slide on the gun I run the old corbon 165 gr loads at 1334 fps it’s a wide mouth hollow point most 45s won’t chamber it! It will chamber an empty shell casing! The week ass ammo I was talking about was the norma ammo think it was 175 grain it was trash ammo week week week!!! Didn’t expand out of 4506-1 5 inch barrel! The 4506-1 will shoot 45super and 45smc with spring change 👍 but I don’t see the need tho

Why the unnatural fear of Croatian crafted firearms. They are very robust and well thought out. I have owned several and much prefer their characteristics to Glock.

I can with full confidence say a Colt firearm of any kind will never cross the threshold of my home, for the simple fact that during the Clinton administration, when it looked as if gun control was going to happen, Colt quit making civilian firearms and made them only for government military and agencies………. You've got to me kidding me? A modular Ruger took the number 1 spot? I think you may have ruined the whole video with that one. Considering what the HK45 has accomplished in regards to testing and durability I think the fact that it didn't make the number 1 is an absolute crime. Furthermore how do you do a "Best .45" without a Glock 21in there somewhere? Here's the fix, throw the Ruger in the trash put the Glock at #5. Now you have an accurate Best 45 pistol video.
