Is it recommended to scuff up the pan for better contact? I have to do a lower pan for my 2016 Silverado. It’s painted black and I was told to scuff it up a little and I was also told not to. I’m very confused.
I know the factory pans are not scuffed when installed so I just install them like that if the paint is in good shape, but if I’m reusing a pan or resealing typically you will have to scuff them up only if it’s brand new painted perfectly you don’t have to. That’s my general overview.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
