- In a small town located less than an hour from Canada's largest military base, locals began talking about the so-called "Tweed Creeper," after a rash of break-ins where the only things stolen were women's undergarments.
But those crimes would quickly escalate to assault and then to murder. But a set of tire tracks would point police to the person responsible, someone above suspicion.
As reporter Morganne Campbell reports, it’s a case that even more than a decade later, leaves many with unanswered questions.

It should be a safe zone not an easy prey for attacking people while in bed!!! Can’t believe he said that ... there’s different emotions and fear that come from an attack u shouldn’t minimize the victims reactions or how it may have been a big lifelong struggle or you assume they should just get over it!!!! It impacts ur life forever!!

I've lived in Trenton my whole life and I was around 9 or 10 when this all happened. I have three older sisters, and I remember just how scared my mom was up until Williams was caught.
What's even more disturbing is that we had actually met and spoken to him on numerous occasions. My brother and two of my sisters were in air cadets (173 Royal Tiger Sqn out of Trenton High) as of 2010. Williams had attended some of their cadet functions as the CO of the base usually does.
Once everything he did came to light, my mother was absolutely horrified that he had not only been around me and my siblings, but that she had actually had conversations with him and shaken his hand.
Yeahhhhh, needless to say I never leave the house without a means to defend myself 😬
The fact that Belleville and Tweed police were not in communication about this case is alarming. I grew up in Belleville (Helleville, as I called it back then). Some of the kids in Tweed go to school in Belleville (or did when I was a student). That's how close and intermingled the two towns are.
Cops are strange make excuses not their jurisdiction etc. They didn't figure out about rapes being reported in St. Catherines instead of Scarborough when Bernardo moved either. Russell sounds a bit like the Golden Gate killer in California too he was a cop started out stealing little things didn't get caught advanced to murder.
Rest In Peace Jessica, she was a beautiful woman.
Really nice to see a quality show from Canada.
The television network that produced the show is on the verge of bankruptcy, and a lot of it is due to Canadian content requirements.
The police chief let her investigators run amok with potential suspects…the police were very unprofessional and it seems quite belligerent.
Despite his military training he couldn't fool a farmer that knows his fields.
brilliant programme, apart from some boring buzz in some episodes, not this one! Great work!

Watched 20 minutes so far, story keeps going around in circles....how many times and in how many ways do you have to declare that "this doesn't happen here and we are a nice small town".....come on, better editing is required.

This case is crazy. The interrogation is still one of the best Ive seen. Its the poor neighbour & his wife being asked about their sexual activity/preferences good lord 😂🤦🏻♀️

I remembering hearing about this case, I was like 9 or 10 years old when this was huge on the news. Russell Williams, what he did was sick. He really commited these horrific acts.
There were a lot more interviews and people sharing in the initial documentary by Fifth Estate. Great coverage still, thank you.

When he lived in Orleans, Ontario, my friend / co-worker would look after his cats when he be...out of town. Then I found out that a grade school friend worked with Marie- France Comeau. He had a hard time processing this. And when I said to that a third cousin (C.C.) was a serial k...er, he turned white. We don't choose our family.
I remember watching a documentary abouu it t this years ago, aparrently it was a Truck driver that remembered an SUV with the lights on near Jesicca’s house in the early hours of the morning, and hence the discovery of the tire tracks
Russell Willaims Wife sued the OPP For damage in their Ottawa home during the excuted search warrant for damage to her floors and won .
She also lied to the media about visiting him in prison. She did. I worked there. She's a horrible person. She's definitely a victim of his crimes too, but she is not who she portrays herself to be. The only person she cared about was herself.

These poor women omg, r.i.p to them they didnt deserve what all happened to them:( the jessica girl looks like a cousin of mine's doppelganger) i feel so bad for all of them. Condolences to all the family! The pain they must still feel to this day has to still be terrible for them :( ❤
God bless those women but poor Larry he could've getting lynched over that but those ladies were scared and probably didn't know who to trust. Especially it being in a not so big area. 😢
