Recovery is both body and mindset. Totally agree...positive attitide. Gratitude on what we can do.Rather than focusing on what we cant do. You have to heal mind and body to recover from cfs..I did loads of journalling, EFT, meditating.working through issues kept inside walls inside for years!! Breaking down walls. Breathing hugely important as meditation. To calm the nervous system. Being calm and positive, calms the nervous syatem. Being in a pity/ victim mode. Keeps you stuck. Triggers the nervous system...adrenals... Most of us our overthinkers!! Which meditation helps. Tapping on fear and anxiety. Get it all out of your body and mind. Diet, healing the gut, nutrition is key. So as not to trigger the nervous system, and energy...avoid caffine, sugar, gluten, yeast, dairy alcohol. Drink loads of water. What you focus on flourishes. So focus on the positive will help you recover...negative will keep you stuck. Reduce your conflict.
If you cant afford a very expensive cfs prigramme like Toby's. And is for everyone...check out faith Canters, Freedom movement online coaching group for £20 per month. And her you tube channel/ website loads of info gor fre. We are all recovering.in Faiths group. End atage me...yay!! Tobys course is only for those with money...xx !! most of us cant work and dont have loads money

Good detailed in depth video. Ive watched some of your other videos and heard a little bit about your story and i find it heroic how you have dedicated your life to helping people through this struggle. So much respect to you brotha. I have taken into account some of the tips you have mentioned and have seen alot more progress in myself, but im always being mindful to rest and recover even if i feel good. Its a hard journey but the best advice i could give somone is you have to make your health and recovery your hobbie, and be stubborn about not letting other people or situations cause you stress. Also surround your self with family, close friends and people that support and understand what your going through. Find your inner peace and strenghth in the flames and know that your somthing greater than this disease.

I agree!! This is what I’m doing to improve. I figured it out for myself. Plus getting myself in a rest/digest state often throughout the day. The way I’ve seen it for me is I got knocked down and now I’m slowly building myself up again.
There are many people who have recovered from a whole system approach like this. Watch Raelan Agle’s interviews with people who have recovered if you don’t think it could be a possibility for you. You first have to believe you can heal. With the medical system telling us there’s no cure has got it in our heads that it’s hopeless but it’s not.

@@MK-co6uf It's because CFS is a neurological dysfunction which is usually brought on by physical and or emotional triggers (viruses, trauma, stress, injury etc) if you allow the nervous system to rest whilst also treating the physical and emotional triggers arousing the nervous system, it is given a chance to heal and escape the cycle.

@@MK-co6uf ME/CFS is listed by the WHO as a neurological illness. There are many symptoms and causes but at the core of the illness is the ANS dysfunction. This is a key factor in almost all the recovery stories I have observed. Both on Dan Nueffer's recovery stories and Toby's, which are numerous. Rest is only one aspect of recovery. If you know a better way with as much recovery results as these two programs please tell me, as I am not interested in being right, I'm interested in recovery.

Calculate your macronutrient requirements. Batch cook (bimonthly or weekly) grass-fed or wild-catch meat, offal, or fish (beans if your body tolerates them). Weigh, portion out based on protein needs and freeze until your meal. Focus on the most nutrient dense vegetables that you tolerate (the more colors the better for your microbiome). At my worst, I could only tolerate parsley. Luckily it's cheap. Raw EVOO is your friend. Listen to what cools the inflammation in your body. Good luck

Yeah but healthy according to what atandard?
A strict anti inflammatory diet has helpedme immensely
      But you gotta be consistant
There is logic to it, if you dive into the research around the effects of food on the body and the micro biome
Might not heal everybody, cfs is very diverse
But if it can help get alot of progress thats a huge win

At first glance your comment seems wise, however, most people that become sick were 'healthy and fit' before. Most people that develop fibromyalgia or CFS are at the top of their game, but are under a lot of pressure and stress. At some point the nervous system breaks down and the dysfunction begins.

i agree Jan, though i am not in your position. Also it makes all the difference to have a gp, or clinic, or even just people around you who are supportive, even if they don't understand.
But even with those i guess we still have to try to treat ourselves the best we can. I wish you well in your recovery.

    • @mycreativeheart4159
      @mycreativeheart4159 ปีที่แล้ว

It is very difficult if you don't have an "in-home" support system. Someone who can pick up the slack when you aren't feeling well. But.. it can be done. You just have to change the way you do things, how much you do, and accepting that not everything will get done, the way you want it, all of the time. It takes a while to figure it out. I personally had to let go of my type A perfectionism personality trait and "what i used to be able to do". I find house cleaning really takes the energy out of me. I now clean one room each day. My house is tidy. One room is absolutely clean, once a week. But not all rooms are completely clean at the same time. Sometimes this bugs me, but for the most part I realize it's what I need to do to have a semblance of a normal life in which I have energy to enjoy myself. I also used to find making meals difficult. I now make overnight oats every evening... so in the morning I have a healthy breakfast ready and waiting. I cook meats ahead of time and then freeze them in single serving Ziploc snack bags. Then I have the ability to make a quick salad topped with protein, or add meat to scrambled eggs, or add meat to veggies in a stir-fry. Start thinking... "How can i change this so it works for me?" Best Wishes Thomas... my thoughts are with you💕

    My CFS deprives me sleep

  • @phill5942
    @phill5942 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Hi CFS Health,
What I don't get is this; for a lot of people, they go from very healthy to CFS overnight. I don't think any CFS specialist would agree that simply living healthy like you did before will make anyone recover. I think even from your Facebook-testimonials it is pretty clear that people do not recover. A lot of them are like this: "12 months in the program and i'm feeling better. I still have issues though...". It seems like a wave of placebo/denial. 12 months is a lot of time to just feel a bit better.
    *
When people see you, they have most likely been sick for years. OF COURSE they will initially feel just a bit better by improving their sleep, food and exercise as they get better conditioning. Just like any healthy but inactive person would feel better. But the positive effect should stop there.
    *
Every study on healthy living and CFS pretty much fails or conclude that it is only helping patients cope better (which of course is better than nothing). I don't think there is any evidence that healthy living should be able to cure this disease. I wonder if you follow the CFS research at Stanford? If they are correct, CFS will indeed need medical intervention (just like MS, cancer etc. etc.).
    *
This is not a critique, but rather some thoughts that i'm sure a lot of people with CFS share. Nobody can deny that there are a lot of scam programs out there just making money off people with this illness.
Would be great with a reply :-)

      Uhh yeah perhaps, sure.
BUT its the biggest bet we got
      And
      IT MOST DEFINATLY Creates IMPROVEMENT.
Consistency over time, has helped people immensely
But you need to be consistent in your pacing, avoiding p.e.m. Consistebtly
I wouldnt just call it “healthy living” because almoat noone is
I call it extreme health diet helped me inmensely
      Only fresh green veg
Grass fed meat, ie non diseased meat
No sugar, no gluten, no wheat, no daiiry, refined carbs
And do that CONSISTENTLY, not cheating
The microbiome plays a huge role in our health
And lets not forget people have been able to even send auto immune diseases into remission via strict diet
Food is HUGE, As it plays a big part in causing inflammation in the gut and body
