    How many times do you have to descale? You mentioned, “continue until completely descaled.” How will I know when it’s completely descaled? This is the warmer I purchased in case my daughter is visiting and needs a bottle warmed. If I’m not using this warmer except occasionally, how will I know when to descale? Thank you for this tutorial Sweetie! Congratulations to you and Hubby!! God Bless your hearts, I don’t know how you do it!? hey, thanks for the video.. Baby Dad here to a 10 week old.. I had a question that I also saw on the promotional video from the company. for this, it says that you can leave a baby bottle in this for 24 hours. and then in your video you said after feeding is done you can just stick the next bottle in it.. our feedings for our baby are like 2 1/2 to 3 hours apart. how can you possibly leave a bottle out of the fridge in the warmer for 2 to 3 hours without it going bad? We are formula users. I'm not sure if that makes any difference but we were told that the formula is only good for 1 hour out of the fridge and 48 hours in the fridge. From looking it up milk is 2 hours. Am I just not thinking straight here? how can I leave a bottle in this warmer for 2 to 3 hours without it going bad? This feature seems really silly to me and I still don't understand why this "slow cooker" setting even exists!

      @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey 🤗❤️! When I used mine, the setting that I used called normal warming did not auto shut off. It remained on. Maybe yours is called constant warming? I have heard from other mothers who have gotten newer versions that they changed the name from normal warming to constant warming. So perhaps if you put it on the constant warming setting it will stay on? There is a fast bottle warming setting which does auto shut off. But if it is at all the same as when I bought it, there is a setting that stays on for 12+ hours called either normal warming or constant warming. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you and happy new year!

    • @ellenfrankspeechtherapy
      @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Technically, the machine can keep it warm for up to 24 hours. I asked my doctor about this and how long was safe to keep it warm. She said as long as it’s kept at a warm temperature, like it is on constant warming, it is safe. So keep it in there for as long as you need between feedings. You never go a full 24 hours without feeding the baby, so you can keep them cooking in between feeding time and they’ll be fine! I did this for a whole year and, for what it’s worth, my babies have never been sick a day in their lives! So that tells me it was safe for them. Best of luck to you. I hope that answers your question!

    • @ellenfrankspeechtherapy
      @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try that! But if you use The normal warming setting, the formula will not spoil after a couple hours. It’s like a crockpot- it keeps it at a warm temperature and it doesn’t spoil when it is held at that temperature. We used that setting for the full first year and it worked every time and my boys have never been sick which I think is a good sign that the formula was always safe 👌

    Hi, glad I found your review! I was about to buy a mini fridge + a bottle warmer for a night feed upstairs. @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

But the good thing is, you can leave the bottles in for a several hours and they will stay at that desired temperature. It’s amazing! You’ll get the hang of it and it will be one of your favorite baby items, I just know it! My boys are 16 months now and I had to put mine in storage recently and I cried over my bottle warmer!!! Lol! I didn’t use the fast warming setting very much, but from my memory you adjust based on the bottle size. Based on how many milliliters you have in your bottle, it will heat it up and a timer will go off based on how much is in the bottle. So I don’t think you set a specific temperature for fast warming.

      I recommend using the normal warming setting. The fast warming feature of this bottle warmer is the same as all the other ones. Pretty tricky and hard to find the perfect settings. I recommend as soon as you are done with a feeding, get your next set of bottles poured and ready to go and put them right in the bottle warmer. Set it to normal warming and keep it at the 40° preset temperature. Normal warming takes About 30 to 45 minutes to work, so that’s why I recommend you have all of your bottles ready for the day and as soon as you’re done with one feeding, just immediately put the next ones in and they will be the perfect temperature for you at every single feeling. Is it really safe to keep bottles in constant warming mode? Most of what I’ve read states a risk of bacterial growth in bottles left warm for about 2+ hours and suggest only warming bottles shortly before each feeding. Bacteria can certainly grow around the 40 C temp range, not just room temp. I think I’ll ask our pediatrician.

    • @ellenfrankspeechtherapy
      @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can ask your pediatrician. I asked mine and he said it was safe as long as it’s not left out at room temperature. But also if you think about it, there’s never a time that you need to leave a bottle in the warmer for several hours at a time. And for what it’s worth, my babies have never been sick a day in their life which also tells me that the milk they were drinking was safe. The best thing about this machine is that it has that constant warming as an option. It also has a fast warming option. In my experience, the constant warming was extremely helpful for the twins and my pediatrician explained to me that it was safe. Hope this helps!

    How did you know that your desired setting was 43? So let’s say twins eat about every 2-3 hours. So after a bottle feeding of breastmilk, replace those bottles right after? Like how did you figure how long it takes to get to that desired setting? So you know exactly when to replace those bottles.

    • @ellenfrankspeechtherapy
      @ellenfrankspeechtherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Annalyn Bautista I just realized that my boys preferred warmer bottles than 40 degrees. After some trial and error, we figured that 43 was our happy medium. On the normal warming setting, it takes about 30 minutes to reach that temperature. But once it reaches that temp, it keeps it there for up to 24 hours. And yes, you can immediately put bottles in right after you finish a feeding. Hope that helps!
