Shortly after this video, we ended up with about $1400 in sales, more than the $1250 we originally anticipated. The PS2 system is not included in that, and sold for about $200, a bit lower than expected. The condition of these items was very very nice, and was reflected in the prices they sold for.

Def Jam Fight for NY is the last game to use the AKI wrestling engine originating with the N64 WCW then WWF games. Plus the list of licensed rappers/actresses.
4:00 did he say Here Comes The Pain on eBay all day this one is $50-$55 ??? Here in the UK, that game in that condition goes for about £7 on eBay. Come on, that can't be the price it goes for over there on eBay. Only few PS2 games even complete are worth anything major over here, one those that is worth anything major is Manhunt 2 (around £50) like he said. But Here Comes The Pain $50-$55, maybe because wrestling is more popular in the US then the UK so more gamers tend to hold onto those games, less around. You can find them everywhere here.
The ways Sony does their special edition consoles was the same for PS2 as it was for PS4. There will be a special decorative slip cover that shows the bonus stuff, but inside of that will be a standard PS2 or PS4 box.
I had the original Xbox growing up and psps,ds lite,3ds Xbox one and 360 and I brought my first ps2 off eBay for £25 a few months ago and got fifa street,dragon ball z budakai tenkaichi 3 and wwe 2006 and HCTP and NFSUG2 and I’m having so much fun on it 🔥

Naw emulation is the best investment those will be dusting on shelves tbh, they pretty much got ripped off. It will be hard to sell them no one will buy it unless they are a collector. Most people just wanna play the games so it will be a hard hard market sought after.

Most people stopped caring about retro games. There's really no need to own them anymore. Emulation on pc is top notch and can these games better than before with higher resolution scale. It's why he traded for the ps5. Tbh I would too. These old games are just gonna sit on the shelf.

Because of dudes like this you now have to message every garage sale days before it begins to have any shot at finding any games. You used to be able to at least have an even shot at racing them from garage sale to garage sale the day of the sales…not anymore. So not only did they drive up game prices they now message garage sales days in advance to take all the good deals. You did get some sweet deals though, just sucks for the retro collectors in your area.
*No lie that’s a sweet ass deal....everything you got alone definitely should value to the amount of a PS5 or more especially if you hold on to everything for a few years from now alotta those game prices are gonna shoot thru the roof*
I would say the value is there but the rarity is not these games are much easier to find then the ps5 right now but we all know over time new generation consoles become easier to get so for now im gonna say this is worth it provided you dont mind not having a ps5 for awhile 🤷

Good. I would have done the same thing. The PS2's library beats the hell out of any other Playstation library that came after, hands down (especially the PS5's library, one that literally has nothing). And dont forget the backwards compatibility with the PS1's library, which is an amazing one as well. But lucky me since i refuse to even buy a PS5 and give Sony/Playstation any kind of money at this point. All those disc-only games.........i would get rid of those. Even the platinum/essential branded ones. Only black labels go on my shelves.

They were in the process of making black 2 and decided because of the tragic tragedy, they made head on instead and released bonus footage and levels that were never released. It’s the one where sweet tooth is able to come out on foot. Anyway I believe that’s why David always shys away making them, and Sony owns the name so they went ahead and started without him. The last one made was Twisted Metal for PS3, Twisted metal 3 & 4 were made by 989 studio, David didn’t get the direction back until they decided to use him to make black for PS2.

Of course it’s worth it…technically the ps5 isn’t rare…in a year or two it will be on every store shelf imaginable…rare games will not…most likely will be more valuable as time progresses so that’s a win for a collector…
No the collector will be actually having those games on the shelf because we have emulation and can care less about the physical copy anymore, good luck catering to a small market. Why would we wanna do that when we can play in a better resolution. lol
I wouldn't trade in all those games for ps5 system. Ps5 libraries are very small now. Most of those games including Tenkai 3, I bought it at a mere 20-30$ price tag. I got most major hitters on ps2 like .hack 1-4, xenosaga 1-3, kuon, mvc2, blood will tell, siren, haunting ground, MS Saga, Shadow Hearts series, shmt series, suikoden 1-5 +tactic, and etc. The only one I don't have is Rule of Rose. As of now, 1 of my game is worth over $1000. Bought it for $20 in 1998 @ Toyrus. That game is rare and expensive. It's Magic Knight Rayearth (Sega Saturn).

it's really region dependent - same games in Poland would be worth a fracture of ps5. Probably Dragonball would be the most expensive one here, still below 20bucks

Technically ps5s are going for higher than retail, saw one in a shop by me for $650 the digital version but still a good double up got quite a few gems in there!

In uk that deal its very bad!!! The budokai’s and the dej jam’s cost about £140 all together and the rest you can get them avout £1 to £10 a pop, ps2 about £60, psp £60 🤦🏻♂️ ps5 second hand gone cost about £500 to £600
Nice I'm getting decent at my approximating was thinking 1250. I'd like to see the prices of each of the higher items, just because that's how I sort of memorize games. I'm sure that takes a lot of editing. Niced price charting is pretty conservative the recent comps on eBay for the most part will be higher. It's good to use when negotiating. I had a similar happen to look at big lot of Xbox 360 games on eBay and noticed NCAA football 14 as it sort of jumps out at you once you know it. Sadly when I won the whole lot for $60 and it had 40 games that game was missing. Think they realized its value and did get some money back but it was going to be a good flip.

I paid up a $160 bucks for 13 games and a controller at Cartridges, i came back and bought another new HDMI adapter for the PS2.

@@Ehrle6969 this game and 4 other games just sold for $670 +15.00 (March 22 2022) shipping and handling. And if you got both def jam's. The highest I see is $300.00. I would have been real happy if I could have got Def jam Fight for New York for $40.00.

In uk that deal its very bad!!! The budokai’s and the dej jam’s cost about £140 all together and the rest you can get them avout £1 to £10 a pop, ps2 about £60, psp £60 🤦🏻♂️ ps5 second hand gone cost about £500 to £600

Nice I'm getting decent at my approximating was thinking 1250. I'd like to see the prices of each of the higher items, just because that's how I sort of memorize games. I'm sure that takes a lot of editing. Niced price charting is pretty conservative the recent comps on eBay for the most part will be higher. It's good to use when negotiating. I had a similar happen to look at big lot of Xbox 360 games on eBay and noticed NCAA football 14 as it sort of jumps out at you once you know it. Sadly when I won the whole lot for $60 and it had 40 games that game was missing. Think they realized its value and did get some money back but it was going to be a good flip.
You could have gotten a partial refund for the order being incomplete worth the value of the missing game = they would lose money
You coulda had free mcboot and put those games on a hdd for ps2 for free
