SAME & AUDREY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR LIVES & ADVENTURES. Through your eyes I get to see & travel the World. The way you show & explain your travels I truly feel like I am there. I am older & happily married for soon to be 44 years. My husband doesn’t want to travel. So maybe one day our children & grandchildren will travel abroad. That is ok so I enjoy life here. GOD BLESS from Indiana USA
Thank you for introducing our city😄 I enjoyed your video and seeing our city from a different perspective than usual. Please come visit Matsumoto City again!
We watched this video a few weeks before visiting and your suggestions were great! And you were right… it was like walking into someone’s house to buy food! We also went to the chicken restaurant and got some ice cream based on your recommendations. Thanks from a fellow Canadian :)
Matsumoto is SUCH an underated city, people always just skips it on the way to Kanazawa or go to Nagano Monkey park. I went to Matsumoto and was pleasantly surprised. Very pretty, easy to walk around.
Matsumoto looks so beautiful . A beautiful video showcasing the best of Matsumoto Castle, Yohashira Shrine and certainly the very good food. Always, great presentation. Bucket list for us Love you guys 😍 Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Thank you Jim and Harriet! Matsumoto was a pleasant surprise - we came for the castle and got to enjoy so much more. Glad you enjoyed the video and wishing you a happy weekend. 😊
I visited the castle on a weekday in June 2010, and it did feel like we almost had the place to ourselves. While not quite, it was most certainly not busy!
Great choices of lesser known Japanese travel destinations. Matsumoto is a great choice for a day trip from Tokyo or extend it for a few days as you two did. Soba is a big Nagano thing and of course is delicious.
Fabulous and authentic food that you can't really find anywhere else but japan!Japanese castles are very different from those in europe as well if only in architectural terms
Hello guys! Amazing video as always. Can you please share the exact location of the place from where you guys got the Oyaki. Could not find it. Thanks a lot 😊
I enjoyed your video, but you guys really missed some of the best Matsumoto has to offer. Nagano prefecture offers some of the best soba in Japan, and some of the best sake. Venture away from the train station and in to the back streets and you’ll find some great food and drink as well as a few great rock n roll and jazz pubs.
We had just come from Niigata Prefecture, also known for sake and soba, so we were trying to mix it up and keep it fresh for everyone watching! We showed both of those things in the Niigata City and Yuzawa videos. Don't worry, it won't be our last bowl of soba! 😅
That long hair on Sam looks super metal! Japanese love black metal so if you guys are near some black metal music venue in Japan I recommend going. Sam it’s going to blend right in.
@@brutaltruth7197 Nah, Japan is cool. It's been my dream since i was a kid. As for fatigue...if I go I'm not gonna do anything touristy....I wanna taste the craziness of Tokyo for a short while.....and stay in the the countryside for any extended period of like 3 weeks.
Been going Japan every year since 2010 except during their lock down…it’s a good place to visit don’t get me wrong ….some will enjoy the big crowded city life and shopping while some prefer the quite countryside and historic shrines..but it has changed especially post covid…Don’t be depressed if you don’t visit Japan I m sure there are beautiful places to visit nearer to your country Accommodation & daily expenses such as food I n Japan is not very expensive compared to places like London, Zurich & Paris.
Great video...the day you uploaded Jan 28 was the ice sculptures festival but your video didn't look like winter ... The Nakamachi festival is held 4 times a year.
We were there for the October Festival. Most travel vloggers (us included!) don't publish videos until they're back home. It's really hard to edit on the road, so that's why the videos are always a little behind real time.
Guys, you always go to fancy places. Having lived in Singapore for 3 years, I loved visiting factory and port canteens. Their menu was the same as in expensive restaurants, only 3 times cheaper. If you have the opportunity, please visit the factory canteens and tell us your opinion.🥰
This is the first time I'm hearing about factory canteens. I would have imagined that they are only for workers based on the name. I'm guessing we wouldn't find these in tourist areas?
@@samuelandaudrey Some countries have access points, and some do not. For example, in Singapore and Antwerp, I have never met security guards. At many control posts, you can just say that I'm going to the dining room.
We paid with card and cash. Japan is still very much a cash-based society, especially if you're eating at smaller restaurants. We used our debit cards to pull cash out of the ATMs.
夏祭りの最高のタイミングで松本に行かれてラッキーでしたね。おやき、山賊チキンと有名な食事も最高でした!!
お祭りはとても楽しかったです!ジャズ音楽と花火を楽しみました。😊🎶

Epic foodie adventure episode - I'm jealous ( LOL )
The izakaya food court was so much fun! We went back a second time, and even tried again a third (that time it was closed).🥲
So happy you are visiting my favourite county in the world!!!
It's one of our favourites as well! We hope you're enjoying the videos. 😊
Fantastic video!! Love all the details, info and tips!! Cheers from Canada
Glad you enjoyed it, Peter! Thanks for watching.

Loved my day trip to that city. I may have repressed any memory of banging my head in the castle. Lol
Haha, yes! There was one set of stairs were it felt like we were going to tumble forward. Hug that railing! 😊

May I please ask what hotel you stayed at with the onsen :)??
very interesting
30 minutes and 30 adds, BTW nice informative video.
I don't get jealous about anything, but I'm very jealous you get to travel through Japan. I hope I get to do it before I die.
Cherish & appreciate what u have… don’t need to be jealous .. Japan is overhyped and you don’t feel the fatigue when watching travel videos
I hope you get to explore Japan for yourself one day. 😊🎌

.Matsumoto Castle is my favorite and I love attending during the ice sculptures festival and Sakura season.

Which month do you recommend going in if you want temperate weather?
Late October to early November. We were the the first week of October and it was still summery.
Awesome, thank you!@@samuelandaudrey
Is it easy to pay for everything with card in Japan? Do some places take only cash?
We paid with card and cash. Japan is still very much a cash-based society, especially if you're eating at smaller restaurants. We used our debit cards to pull cash out of the ATMs.
Are you guys Canadian?
Yes.
