Whatever you think of the exterior, there’s no denying that the interior is amazing and probably the best of any car
so happy to notice that the menacing TV panel is missing!

That is an extraordinary car, perhaps a sign of what the smaller models will look like in a couple of years.
That’s what the 7 is a preview of the next model series and future technology the new decade models always start with the 7 series.

It’s not the best looking exterior but I’ve seen a few EQS round and hands down this a better looking car.
This car made me love electric cars. I considered myself a diehard petrolhard, but bmw went all out here. Big battery, big tech, honestly love this over the petrol /diesel 7 series.
This car is seriously making me start thinking about switching over to EVs. With the real world range of the car, that's more than enough for me without home charging. The charging rates on public chargers from where I live are not that expensive.

Great review as ever Nobby and the tech is fabulous but my goodness it's so ugly it's not funny.
After driving the car for a week, you did not mention how many miles or kilometres you actually got from a full charge. Is the 340 miles really possible with all its whistles and bells?
If you drive like Miss Daisy, in summer, with the air con off you might!

The front just doesn't work IMO. Too much going on. Perhaps if the grill was smaller, the double headlights might work. As it is, it's just not a design that will endure for very long or that will be accepted by many at that price point.
Picked up my i7 in July, had it for three days before it went faulty. The rear tv would never connect, Bluetooth never connected properly and it’s been in. BMW workshop since. As much as this is a great car it has far too much technology. Far too many things to go wrong . As of today 1/9/23 they still have the car :/
Very shocked to hear this. At a BMW event at the moment and have been driven in i7s, first time seeing the TV in action.
I haven’t an idea what would make me part with that kind of money for any car. 😂

I made it to 4m 32s and had to give up.........nothing to do with you or your reviewing style (I'm subscribed).....I'm just increasingly finding these cars , almost offensive. A relative of mine recently changed jobs from being a main dealer sales executive (mid tier brand) to being a BMW sales executive.........and he has fully drank the coolaid......it has changed him!!!!
I think I'm just becoming a narky socialist in my old age!!!!!!!
As soon as the recently announced , upgraded Polestar 2 comes out....... get your arse into one, that's a video I'm looking forward to.

Excellent review as ever from this top channel. Interior quality and driver ergonomics in a different universe to the spartan cheap Tesla's. This car reeks of quality and functionality. Model S has been knocked out of the luxury market by BMW i7 and Merc EQS. Love the body styling and look of it in all the other colours. The black masks its beauty.
I don’t think the S can even be mentioned in the same sentence. Charging speed, end of list.
@@NobbyOnCars Yes agree, Model S interior seems more like a Volvo fitted out by Ikea.
I’ve always said that once the premium mainstream manufacturers caught up with Tesla that flaws would be horrifically exposed. All the more reason I’d never buy a Tesla.
@@Aidan_Lalor Ah, Tesla are pretty impressive performing BEVs, but personally I just don't like the blank bland Ikea style interior quality totally lacking in driver controls, just fanatically focused on massive touch screen and blank dashboard lacking speedo, hud, air vent controls, wiper speed, etc, yea yea heard it all before use voice, drivers are used to and expect conventional tactile controls not a cheap UI designed to save manufacturing costs rather than provide a premium UI. Fine BEVs, but overrated, but you can't say that publicly without attracting defensive ire from the religious fanatical fan boys. Its just a car (or an iPad on wheels)

I've no idea what happened to them in Munich 🤔 They must be blind or something... Not only is it the worst looking 7Series in history but also one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen. The controversial E65 20 years ago was and still is a beauty compared to this thing!
Not nice at all......... and anyway I would prefer a Villa in Spain with a private pool....
Sinful luxury..... I wouldn't enjoy it.
What I don't get is why it has to be ugly. BMW could still have packed all that luxury and technology into a prettier looking vehicle. Mercedes does it. Lexus does it. Even Rolls Royce does it. BMW have designed better looking cars before. So, we know they can design good looking cars. I love luxury and tech. But I won't be going anywhere near this car.
