Hi Destin! I just came across your page. I am currently in a GLOBUS session on year 11. My industry is quite intense and I am neck-to-neck with my main competition. I have been catching up with him over the past few years and we are now tied for score. Last year, I dumped a LOT of money into corporate social responsibility endeavors to improve my image (my revenue and credit rating allowed me to fund this comfortably). This shot my image up from 72 to 80. Although I won the responsibility award (for the first time, since I had not invested anything into responsibility, other than the two that gave the PAT boost), I did not get a bonus point for it. This makes me wonder whether the investment was worth it. This action was secondary to maximizing the available stock buybacks in order to maximize ROE. I hit 175% ROE last year, as my company is becoming less and less public. Do you believe the obscene amount of money (but still affordable) I put into my company's image is worth it, or is the money better spent elsewhere? Frankly, I am unsure where else to spend it. My company's market sectors are essentially untouched by other companies, so I am reluctant to over-adjust my marketing and P/Q. What else can I do?
