50 now, and everything is paid for. Fortunately, I had a college economics teacher who taught me a lesson when I was 18 years old. That lesson was: you can't buy something else for every purchase you make. Having multiple sources of income is prudent, as is living within your means. I have a 13-year-old vehicle because it is all I need, I like it, and I can do whatever I want with it. My net worth is $4 million, and I can pay my bills without stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too.

That last item was very important. Certain people can pull you off course or influence you negatively if you aren't careful. Having bad friends is worse than having no friends at all.

    • @le_th_
      @le_th_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +56

It only takes ONE bad friend to pull you off course (or worse, to use you as a scapegoat for a crime they committed).
One bad parent can be worse than having no living parents, or parents who abandon you or give you up for adoption, and cost you years of health issues from early childhood stress, and cause you to need decades of therapy.
One bad boss/coworker can set you back years careerwise. One psychopathic boss can derail your entire career by making you the scapegoat for a crime they committed or planting drugs in your desk or porn on your computer.
One bad romantic partner/spouse can pull your entire life off course, falsely accuse you of rape or domestic abuse, or plant drugs in your car or child porn on your computer.
There are so so so very many ways one bad person can up-end your life in ways you could have never imagined was possible before it happens.
That's how they get you....they groom you by gaining your trust...and then you never see it coming. This is how domestic abusers get their spouses to marry them and start a family, and then...once your pregnant or have just given birth and at your most vulnerable, they take off their social mask and release the Kraken.
Most people never think about the above situations happening to them...they don't even consider the possibility...until it does, or unless it happens to some very close to them.
SPOILER ALERT: It can happen and it does.

Truth Teller: the only reason Gates opened his foundation was the fact he monopolized the software and computer industry. He was ruthless and bundled software together with his windows OS. You got every program wether you wanted it or not. This created a monopoly and stiffed all the other software developers. This lead to Gates having a very bad reputation. With his reputation in turmoil, his only way out of it was giving away his fortune to rebuild his image in the world.

If you don’t like your work,

to force yourself to work, to resist the force, and finally to work.
If you love your work your desire to do it will be like a wind to propel your ship with much less fuel.
If you like your work, you work no more - for work, when you like it, is work no longer, but sheer enjoyment!

There’s nothing remarkable about this man also, he may be down to earth, but there is nothing that he is adding to the improvement of the human condition other than The possibility that his vast wealth, it may, or may not be used efficaciously in the pursuit of charitable activity. Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

Investment is building a safe heaven for the future. With the right choice of Investment that has at least 1% minimum risk and with an expert guidance, profit and Intrest is 100% guaranteed

Pythonisa At least you know the truth, the guy was extremely lucky, there’s nothing particularly remarkable about Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. Luck plays a huge role in life for most people, good or bad luck. The funny thing is, the rest of the people worship rich people like they’ve got something special going on. A few do, But not these two.

    • @steveperreira5850
      @steveperreira5850 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Dear Agnes: they ought to show even a lot more humility since neither one of them earned but a tiny fraction of the money they possess.
Furthermore, Bill Gates got his money by breaking the law, by Interfering with the free practice of enterprise by other competing companies and his company was convicted of violating anti-trust laws around the world, and Bill Gates was almost convicted of perjury in the USA, a crime that he is most certainly guilty of.
As for Warren Buffett, he is a crafty investor I will give him that. There is nothing special about that there are millions of other people as crafty as him that just didn’t get as much they had a steam built up.
Myself, I’d rather admire intelligent people that have made a major contribution to the improvement of the human condition, not just people that I’ve gotten rich. Neither of these guys have made any significant contribution to the improvement of mankind and our civilization.
There are thousands of great philosophers, artists, scientists, engineers, even a few legal scholars, that have made major contributions that make all of our lives better every day. I can’t say that for these two guys.
      Sincerely, Stevie

Buy a good cross section of an economy and you should do well over the long term. The market wil be high in 10 to 20 years, and significantly higher in 30. It's almost impossible for a company with no debt to go bankrupt. the U.S. is about 50% of the global market place, Pay yourself first. It's time in the market, not timing the market. last year I invested 100 grand in the S&P 500/ an allocation fund (with the help of my Financial Advisor Rita Lynn Evans of course) and made 370k, but guess what? I put it back and traded with her again and now I’m rounding up close to a million.

Mr. Kendrick, I beg to differ, I don’t see anything remarkable about either of these characters. A logical fallacy is to attribute merit to people because they are wealthy.
It is very difficult to attribute credit to people for their accomplishments because it is usually difficult to figure out if they are the ones who actually made the so called progress. In my experience, generally someone else is responsible for the Merit worthy activity.
There is a great mathematician and scientist, one W Edwards Deming. When asked about how you can tell if somebody is really good at some thing, with respect to the field of science, he states, “from their patents and there published research papers.”
Bill Gates has no patents and no research papers, and he claims to be a science guru.
Warren Buffett claims to be a business guru and he has no published research papers on the science of business.
Neither have done anything significant to promote the long-term improvement of business or science practices.
Bill Gates was, however, convicted of violation of anti-trust laws, and he was nearly convicted of perjury at that same trial by judge Jackson. It is very difficult to legally prove perjury, and that saved his ass.
I prefer her not to admire lawbreakers.

they all have pearls of wisdom but I don't think we should take their position to seriously. Buffett commonly refers to Albert Einstein and anyone who's look into Einstein would realize he was a complete fraud.
Elon musk is perhaps the best example of a government frontman pretend billionaire. I cringe every time he speaks because he's a complete idiot.
These pretend billionaires are presented to society and influence society with ideas and money.
The money is real, but it's passed from one government frontman to the next, such as Buffett willing his fortune to Gates. And the Rockefeller foundation etc...
