    I struggle so much with business jargon, and a lot of Biz TH-camrs assume that (new) small business owners already know what these terms are. Thank you so much for this video! Clear and concise 👌🏽

      I agree! I found this account looking to find business jargon specifically, and this guy has so much useful practical info, it’s a goldmine. I also really like the little movie moments added in so it’s not monotonous 👌👌👏🏽

    • @lillyg4095
      @lillyg4095 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the SOP is the document detailing particular process/ procedures written and managed to conform to compliance standards like ISO standards.

    Can you PLEASE tell us what tools you use for managing Processes, Systems and Tasks?

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We use a combination of things. We use word docs to document our SOPs. We use a spreadsheet as a table to track all the SOPs we have and where to find them. Finally we use Clickup (ceoe.co/clickupyt) as a a project management tool to manage our our tasks which also link to the relevant SOPs

    It's surprising if you train employees the right way the first time, they remember it and they stick to it. If your standards and expectations keep changing, your employees will just do what they think is best. SOPs provide both YOU and your staff the discipline to stay consistent with how things are done!
    When you have your SOP about “How to take orders from customers when the computer is down”, then you do not have to react to that situation and hurry up and instruct all the employees on what they should be doing, you just say, “go read the SOP”.

    Please explain the difference between process and workflow. And also how they relate to each other? So confused right now.

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The reason I didn’t make a distinction between workflow and process is that they’re ‘essentially’ the same thing and are usually used interchangeably. If you want to get super accurate, there is a very subtle difference in that workflows are mini processes where a workflow is geared to a small task and a process can be several workflows together geared towards achieving a bigger goal in the business. I usually like to keep things simple (so not to confuse people) so internally we don’t make the subtle distinction and use the terms interchangeably. Hope that helps.

    • @realgouravverma
      @realgouravverma 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CEOEntrepreneur yeah it helped a lot...thankuu...also can we say that in a big process there are several workflows lying and under any workflow also there are mini processes lying?
      I mean,
      Bigger process -> Workflow(one or many) -> smaller process(one or many) -> smallere workflow(one or many) -> and so on?

    But I get it ..
    I started a biz In A garage.
    Over time like 3 months later I had a production line.
    It needed sop.
    For the system I made that seed to work best.
    I get all messed up when I have to make sop for website and ads and stuff.

    • @CEOEntrepreneur
      @CEOEntrepreneur  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there’s a fine line between making a simple sop and having enough detail for the process to be followed correctly and repeatable and making the sop overly complicated that people never bother looking at. But anything is better than nothing. Sometimes even a simple look video of you going through the actions can be a great starting point.
