And to be fair to the Blackhawks, when we did draft Toews and Kane, and all of them, they weren’t good right away it took a couple of seasons to really be competitive. But the guys just kept having fun and playing games and they just got better and better the 09-10 Blackhawks were fun to watch! that’s when I got into the team.
@@peterolbrisch8970 yeah, I think I was thinking of the previous season. My point was even when we got Patrick, Kane, and taser We weren’t very good right away. 🙄🙄 I didn’t say it lasted forever my point was it took time for them to develop.
God i really hope Reichel can get through whatever this is, he needs to for the team and himself. I love how he just put Celebrini in there like hes already ours 😂
The Hawks will be a lot more fun to watch when they get Lardis and the others in the line-up in the next couple years or so!! Thanks @johnboulanger807!
@@BlackhawksFanaticsI had the pleasure of coaching him for a short while on a grade 8 school team. Just a fun tournament team (boys and girls) but knew he was a special player back then. Beautiful skater , incredible hands and evident his hockey IQ was well above the other triple A players on the team. Fun to see a local kid see success at a high level.
Ryan Greene is my cousin and that kid is as skilled and competitive as it gets. He was roomates with Bedard and also plays with Celebrini. The chemistry they will have once they're all together will be uncanny
I would personally love if the Hawks got Celebrini. It would be great for Bedard to have a young player of his calibre and assuming Taylor Hall (Who unfortunately can't play for the rest of the season due to injury surgery) is healed and in great shape heading into next season will be even better then and be able to play as well as assumung Foligno is hopefully better and in his best shape as well next season. That can be a great place for the Hawks to be. Like put the names out here Bedard, Hall, Foligno and potentially Celebrini. It sounds great for the Hawks. I don't know if even adding Celebrini would be quite enough to make them get into playoffs unfortunately for Hawks fans but it would give a good step. But I honestly expected the Hawks to do better for this season with 3 of the Hawks best players in a long time Bedard, Hall and Foligno. So it's a little unfortunate for Hawks fans but I can only hope and imagine they get Celebrini which gives Bedard someone young who he can get used to playing with that won't retire decently soon like Hall or Foligno who are getting older but still have the chance to be the best they ever have. Just if they got Celebrini Bedard and him would be playing together as a duo until retirement in THE FAR FUTURE. I'm not a Hawks fan but knowing my team is way too high in the standings to get a shot at getting him and with how the Hawks are doing. Not mad at all for Hawks to get him. Sorry for long message.
I would not be mad if the hawks traded reichel and some of the higher picks (not ours obv) for Zegras, that line of Zegras Bedsy and Moore or Nazar would be insane
@@BlackhawksFanatics Going off McKenzie's list, Chicago could rather easily leave the draft with something like 2. Lindstrom 16. Jiříček 34. Emery 54. Jecho 62. Mustard 66. Misa And be set for a while from a prospect pool standpoint.
Several years ago they were at #3. Just goes to prove my point. There are other teams with great prospects. I saw an updated ranking list the other day but I can’t remember where
IMO getting rid of Scotty Bowman was huge for the Blackhawks organization. Some of the talent that he squandered away will be in the Hall of Fame someday. Panarin for example.
I'm hearing we can potentially see Nazar in a Hawks sweater later this season...that would be interesting. We'll see both in training camp before next season starts, so you never know. I'm thinking Oliver spends another year at Minnesota...but we'll see!
call me crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if draisaitl considered signing in Chicago at the end of next season depending on where they finish, but only if they are right outside the playoff race (which I doubt). But I'm gonna dream, but in the next three or so years there will be a ton of good free agents that would love to play in Chicago with Bedard and everyone else. In my opinion that gives them an edge over other rebuilding teams like the blue jackets or sabres, because it seems like most players don't want to go there
Interesting thought on Draisaitl...agree that free agents would prefer the Hawks over the Jackets and Sabres! Thanks for the comment @jordanpraskach8747
Great breakdown! Seriously--the Blackhawks media ops. need to put out YOUR video, because where I was sitting--it looks/looked like they had no gameplan--just run Bedard ragged.
That sucks that we still gotta wait😆😆 but yeah it takes time to develop. I totally get it. I think the Hawks might be able to win I’m gonna say 2025, 2026 . Cuz #98 is hell competitive and I know he wants to raise that cup😊😊
In five days, the lottery winner will be known, and we will see how fast this rebuild will move. If somehow someway the Hawks get number one overall, the clock will move much faster than a Bobby Hull slap shot.
2031-2036 we'll probably be in the playoffs by 2026-2028 but we need better offense and defense and tbh our goalies are either really good or really bad
I really disagree with the best pool in the nhl. The Oilers had three 100 pt scorers, the last time we’ve seen that is when Mario Lemieux was playing! Not only that, but every single lineup had scorers hitting double digits. This isn’t some freak event and when a team dumps all of their ability to score onto 2 people on a team, you’re not going to go anywhere. Have we not seen that repeatedly over the years? 5 guys in the history of the NHL claimed elite status but none of them got anywhere without depth and without depth there’s no success. Bottom line.
Appreciate the comment @heatherm6105. I'm thinking the Hawks have "one" of the best prospect pools at the current time; and, five #1 picks in the next few years. But, I'm biased as a Blackhawks Fanatic!!😎
Yeah, they're doing great. Almost at 50 points. Might get the wildcard spot if all other teams die in plane crashes, 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅. Bedard is not big enough for this league because, unlike a Brad Marchand, he's simply not tough enough. They have sanitized this game as much as they can without losing every last, real, hockey out there, and he just doesn’t make the cut. Can't wait for the playoffs so McDavid and Mathews can be hit by defenders instead of getting penalties for looking at them.
