Demidov all the way. Sounds like he wants to come to NHL as soon as possible.

You have the chance to add an elite forward who can pass, create offense on his own, can score and you want to pass up on him to add another defenseman when we already have too many defensemen. Makes no sense. Take Demidov and help bedard out or he won’t want to stay. Our offense is worse than AHL teams offense.

i don't even think levshunov is the best dman in this draft. demidov or lindstrom would be a great fit for the hawks.

I have you actually SEEN Demidov? obviously not, easily #1 pick any year, he's redefining hockey like Bobby Orr.

What evidence is there that Levshunov can be a shut down defenseman? Because all #1 defenseman have to not only be a puck mover and offensive, but they are playing so much that they have to be shut down guys as well. I think its more likely that Levshunov is an awesome #3 or #4 on a champion. Do you draft that #2 overall? I don't think that's smart.

There isn't much. Questionable defensive game.

YOU GET DEMIDOV you’re going to have to wait a year either way and we need someone who’s going to help Bedard offensively we can get a d man with the 18th pick or with one of our two first picks next year we aren’t gonna be good 😂

In Michkov's draft year, he was about 1 inch shorter and 10bs lighter than Demidov. NHL Central Scouting has Demidov at 5'11" 181lbs. Michkov was 5'10 172lbs

No team wins the cup without shutdown D men.
Forwards are a dime a dozen by comparison.

Trade 2 for 5 and 26. You take Inigla at 5. Hes got the third rated best shot in the Draft
Plays a 200 foot game and wins board battles. A tweener of skill and power. Perfect for Bedard who has zero defense. Iginla will end up the second best player in the draft. Levshunov has a mediocre shot and lacks good stick handling. I just dont see a no 1 defenseman. Iginla was a beast at the combine.

No you get Demidov who will be Bedards right hand man their game go perfectly together and you can get a d man with the 18th pick or next year with the two first rounders y’all will ruin this team

You were right then, and you're still right now. Defense gets you the cup, period. The Oilers had the best player on the planet, along with probably the third or fourth best right beside him. While they put up a valiant effort, the Panthers bled them to death, and the Oilers superstars had nothing left when they had to.

I knew they would f it up and take another d-man...rinsel is already a right handed shooting d-man who they used a first round pick on and should be very close to joining the NHL. Then to make matters worse they have a chance to draft the best goal scoring player in the draft in eiserman and they take...boisvert or boisvot or whatever his name is.... Kyle from Chicago I am quickly losing faith in you!!!!

bedardemidov > joneshunov!! demidov or lindstrom is the pick at #2 for the hawks. the hawks top d-pairing is vlasic and jones (signed for the next 6 years). plus kfc just took korch to be their future pp qb two drafts ago at #7. it would be a total brain fart to give up on him after just 1 season and change course/direction. the hawks problem is not their d-core. they still have more youngsters otw (edm, allan, kaiser, rinzel, crevier, phillips). don't get hung up on right shot or left shot, and how the hawks have so many left shots and hardly any right shots. remember, hammer was a left shot def who played on the right side. the hawks scoring was historically bad last season. a top 6 forward is so much more of a need over a top 4 def. the hawks can grab a defenseman (even a rhd) at #20 or in 2nd rd to add to the depth of their d-core. but you don't pass up on rare talents like demidov or lindstrom.

The #2 pick is probably the hardest pick in the draft.
You usually can't screw up #1 but if you miss on #2, that is what costs G.M.s their jobs.

I know I’m just a random commenter, but I’m positive Demidov is the correct DECISION. I PROMISE you my take will at least interest you. Hottest Blackhawks take you’ll see on the internet is RIGHT HERE:
    - So YES, obviously LEVSHUNOV or hell even ZEEV BUIUM could be the better pro later on, but HAWKS MUST TAKE DEMIDOV.
    - Why? DEMIDOV’s potential GOD-LIKE impact on a franchise is not only MORE irreplaceable due to rarity, but it ALSO ALLOWS the HAWKS to tank at an ELITE level at least 1-2 more times and allows them to draft at least ONE “NO doubt about it 1A/1B defensemen.” Possibly two ANYWAY. GUARANTEED.
    - HAWKS have time to kill with the Seth Jones contract anyway. Drafting Levshunov LITERALLY is counterproductive because a NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR “A SAFE LEVSHUNOV PICK”
-WHY? DRAFTING LEV raises the blackhawks floor but they’ll still be a bottom 10ish team. Now it’s that much more impossible to find that uniquely dominant and impossibly high-ceilinged young forward.
    - ^ THIS risks Blackhawks getting stuck in MEDIOCRITY LAND INDEFINITELY. And for ZERO reason other than NEGLIGENCE.
-In conclusion, Hawks EASILY might NEVER find another young forward as SPECIAL as DEMIDOV. Hawks ABSOLUTELY WILL walk into at least 1 one more similarly impactful LEVSHUNOV-ESQUE player
