david lee Congratulations! I’m 15 right now and I really want to get into this school. Can you tell me how to apply and what I should do to get into this amazing university!
I studied abroad there 2 years ago and what can I say?.. The campus and environmental structures are absolutely beautiful. The outside campus is fulled with plants with a modern twist of historical decor. I missed it so much!
Watching this video made me extremely interested in studying there. I am starting as a freshman getting my undergrad this fall and i want to plan early if i am going abroad! What were the steps that you took to apply? Like did you start applying your sophomore year??
christolh I applied during my sophomore year going onto my Junior year. The process of applying consist alot of paper works & fees. I did not applied directly through my college because they didn't have alot of options. I applied through a program called USAC. Through it all, it was very well worth it. I don't regret one bit.
haiiithereee30 Congratulations!! so what was your application process like? Are you studying abroad through your school or another way? And was it hard to get into since it's a prestigious school? Sorry for all the questions lol I just want to plan ahead and keep on top of my GPA for the first 2 years
I did a summer exchange at Korea University in Anam-dong and it was the best summer of my life. If you ever get the chance to spend time in Korea as a student, do it, it can be hard work but it's so so much fun.
Umm, I m also hoping to do a exchange study program in Yonsei University....So, can u tell me, if a full semester or a summer/winter program will be good by being an international exchange student to study there?????...✨✨✨✨✨
Talia Keeling Same, the campus is gorgeous and the cafeteria is great. My friend is already studying there and she has given me a tour already 😄 I am still working so I am gonna apply next year
They have a disinfectant machine for books?! Ugh wish my university had that. I cringe just thinking what sort of germs is lurking in my uni library books 😖
My Dad studied here and he says the school has changed so much ever since! (He studied in the 1990s) but he misses the library a lot and the underground level thing is also apparently new. I hope I can study there in the future!
When you go back to Korea, I'd love to see him again. He is like a natural tourist guide. And I notice a lot of people agree, your editing is phenomenal!
I didn't know the name of the school that was portraited in the extraodinary you*drama but I know in the thumbnail it is the school that was used in the drama:>>
I hope I can work at Yonsei University someday. I read that they are desperately searching for a German professor. When I'm old enough, have my German degree and a doctors title I'd like to apply there (if they haven't found one till then lol)
Miss Mina, I'm not sure if someone has already suggested this to you, but you should consider being a Seoul Korea travel guide! I'm sure there are hundreds of people that would love accompanying you as you travel around the beauties of Seoul Korea! (Let's see how many likes this suggestion gets...)
This was so amazing to see, I recently finished a Coursera course provided by Yonsei University and they were so kind to me because I couldn't afford the course certificate and so I applied for a financial aid and they gave it to me so I will always be really really happy for that because since I unfortunately cannot go to Korea and to actually study at Yonsei then at least I feel like I am their student a little bit, through Coursera :) I really wish I could study there, everything is so amazing, it gives us more will of studying actually hahaha every the study room had a ticket machine and everything! And the book cleaning machine I mean... I didn't even know that existed! Hahaha I'm too impressed, and also, your friend is so so nice, always providing useful information, he's kind of like a living encyclopedia, I loved him hahah :)
Oh my god the campus is absolutely gorgeous! So much greenery and modern architecture! I'm definitely going to try to study abroad there for a semester or two later in college :D
I love your video! I am a college instructor in the Philippines and I wish I could visit Yonsei someday because it's way better than my university... 감사합니다!
I went on their website for international students and they have programs specifically dedicated to only being taught in english; so my guess would be yes, the campus is english friendly.
Pro equality on top of what everyone else has said, i *will* be taking my classes in English when i go there this year lol so yes it's English friendly :)
Yay! thanks for the tip about exchanging money! I'm going there the end of this month and was wondering where to go for this...super useful!! Awesome video as always!
This video makes me so nostalgic.. I studied abroad to Yonsei in 2015 when everything was under construction. Wow, I want to revisit so badly to see the new campus ㅠㅠ
I am going into architecture and I always thought somewhere in Europe would be where I want to study abroad because of my love for historic architecture. But recently I have begun to fall in love with modern architecture and all of these videos are making me want to go to South Korea. Especially when I see there is so much history with the older building but beautiful modern architecture as well
When I studied abroad there in 2015 there was so much construction going on in the main area that I couldn't appreciate the full beauty of the campus ㅠㅠ But I'm going back to Korea this Summer on vacation and I can't wait to go back and reminisce!
How historically intriguing! To think what occurred on that land. Wars, death and injury, suffering, young people's learning, struggling, falling in and out of love. Just SO much.
Can I know how hard is it compared to high school in korea? Since i know koreans studied HARDCORE during their high school days for SATs and get to a good university. and for international students who've studied there, is it waaay harder than your own country ? Thank you!
Well, as a local student, I cannot compare Yonsei to other foreign Universities, but I can say that the classes for exchange students are relatively loose in every aspects(grade cap is loosened, tests are easier, less papers, etc.). Local students usually take such classes when they want to get decent score with much less efforts or stress. So, you don't have to worry at all about the study load.
Adrian Tan i heard that koreans study super hard to get into a good Uni, but after that they just slack off bc apparently just being in a good uni secures your future so u don't have to work hard anymore at school. not sure how true that is tho
I was accepted just today in Yonsei !!! Thank you LORD!!
david lee I am late but congratulations! How is it there?
literally woukd u mind if you tell me how to apply ? am really confused
david lee Congratulations! I’m 15 right now and I really want to get into this school. Can you tell me how to apply and what I should do to get into this amazing university!
Congrats!! I’m an upcoming senior now and I’m not sure how to apply my school is messed up and won’t show me.😞
Ahh congratulations!!
I studied abroad there 2 years ago and what can I say?.. The campus and environmental structures are absolutely beautiful. The outside campus is fulled with plants with a modern twist of historical decor. I missed it so much!

Thank you!
i'm going to be studying there in the second semester of this year! i'm so excited. did you join any clubs?
haiiithereee30 Congratulations!! so what was your application process like? Are you studying abroad through your school or another way? And was it hard to get into since it's a prestigious school? Sorry for all the questions lol I just want to plan ahead and keep on top of my GPA for the first 2 years

Umm, I m also hoping to do a exchange study program in Yonsei University....So, can u tell me, if a full semester or a summer/winter program will be good by being an international exchange student to study there?????...✨✨✨✨✨

Maybe this is an incentive! I believe in you!
Bea Yeon Same here :( I hope it all works out though, don't give up yet!
Bea Yeon how good do your grades have to be? o.o
Mxlody Nxra it's basically like an ivy league school from the US
Nicole Flores Oh okay, but how good do your grades have to be in order to get accepted as an international student at Yonsei?😲
My Dad studied here and he says the school has changed so much ever since! (He studied in the 1990s) but he misses the library a lot and the underground level thing is also apparently new. I hope I can study there in the future!

IS THIS THE SCHOOL FROM EXTRA ORDINARY YOU ? *the thumbnail*
YESSSS
Really!?! Yonsei University is in the drama?
I didn't know the name of the school that was portraited in the extraodinary you*drama but I know in the thumbnail it is the school that was used in the drama:>>

I find Korean so interesting. I definitely want to got here once and your videos will be my guide!

I went on their website for international students and they have programs specifically dedicated to only being taught in english; so my guess would be yes, the campus is english friendly.

Really informative and interesting video Mina! :)
great video, as usual, and your pen pal is so nice :)
I feel like I recognise this place from some kdramas... do you know if some have been filmed here before?? x
"Reply 1994" is based on Yonsei Students in 1990s and it actually was filmed in Yonsei.
Victoria Yoxall I think Love Rain also had some bits shot there. Especially the part where they show the flash back😅
Victoria Yoxall MOORIM SCHOOL 😉😉😉
I feel like there may have been a kpop music video done here too..or maybe on a similar looking campus?
goblin
US universities are slacking compared to South Korean ones it seems. Also your penpal is so knowledgeable!
It's cool to see you touring 연세. I go there now. Being American at 연세 has been a pretty cool and interesting experience.
Isn't this the same place where gfriends video was filmed?
Alondra Navarrete i think so too😄
Alondra Navarrete Nope. That was filmed in Choong Ang High School. Yonsei rarely permits filming in its campus for not bothering students.
Alondra Navarrete it looks like that
Alondra Navarrete also goblin
Alondra Navarrete i think also strong woman do bong soon nd legends of the blue sea
Thanks for the volume warming ! I just love your channel and video is really awesome ! It is really a cool place to study 😍

I envy the people blocking the sun rays with umbrella because in the UK they look at you so strangely if you use it when its not raining :'3
